Same thing has happened in Lincoln, Roseville and Rocklin. Did all those new people help or bring down those towns? And California has seen people leaving the last 4 years. You just have people moving from 1 part of CA to another as their towns become crime ridden.

Moving my family to Roseville from the Bay Area. It’s a nice suburban neighborhood to raise a good family and that’s what we want.

I've lived here for the past 35 years, remember when going to Folsom was considered getting away from the crowds and Walmart was the olace ti hang out. Now I absolutely hate the traffic, the growth. It's turning into the bay area.

Forget about Laguna Blvd, now even Elk Grove Blvd is jammed. Too many shopping plazas along it. At every major intersection. Whole Foods is now coming too.

Elk Grove reminds of Irvine in the early 2000s, people know its a good place, safe + good schools, affordable. Now Irvine is ridiculously expensive

Growth isn't the issue. Sprawl is. ..and the car traffic that comes with it. By the way, there are places in the world that combine commercial with residential, simply piling a couple of stories of housing on top of a couple of stories of business.

like there are buses (e-tran [now operated by sacRT]) sure, but they get affected from the long distances they have to travel and the traffic (although not as bad for e-tran, but only because stroads like Bruceville Road and Laguna Blvd have 3 lane per direction car lanes)
