Quickly is a relative term. And paying gives you instant access to things behind a huge timewall. If I had semiauto rifles and a t-34 from the moment I started playing moscow, I would have won more game and profressed faster. Don't get me wrong, the base stuff works wonders, and I had no problem getting top score on a T-60. This is coming from a wt veteran who started playing recently and is lvl 24 moscow allies.

The only pay to win element of enlisted is stalingrad which was rejected by the majority of the community and the devs realised this hence why pacific isn't behind a pay wall.

and Normandy if you play the allies if you don't pay good luck playing the best tank is put behind a pay wall the para troopers pay wall ... the best weapons pay wall there is like 3 versions of the Thompson gun that are free like woah there is so many us weapons and they give you 3 versions of the same gun and none is with the drum mag...Enlisted is a lot pay to win on some campaigns to be honest Moscow and the Pacific are not pay to win but Normandy and Stalingrad has a lot pay to win elements...

@@nikolayaleksandrov3834 (still on Normandy) and in it we still find the squadron of silenced MP40, which may not be infallible, but it is horrible to face him. And, personally, I prefer and think the Lanchester, or even the M3 Grease gun, is much better than a Thompson.

@@slumphub Yeah sure skill paid with cash :D :D :D To be fair not all classes are affected but on the US best SMG's are in special squads ,best LMG is in a special squad ,best tank special squad so I don't say is complicitly pay to win but just there is a lot of things that you need to pay for and are better then the free stuff :D If you compare it to the other campaigns there is no so many pay to win elements only on Stalingrad and Normandy and on Normandy for the Axis is not that bad but for US you better pay cash...that's why all people play Axis on Normandy cuz why should i buy Firefly when I can get Tiger for free :D

I introduced a friend to Enlisted a few months ago, and in his first match ever he got 1st place, with 20-30 more kills than anyone in the match. This was in the Normandy campaign, on the Axis. I was at like 3rd or 4th on the team, and I wasn’t letting him get kills, or doing anything I wouldn’t normally do. He wasn’t ever lower than 5th on the leaderboard until he progressed further in the campaign, and unlocked squads like flametroopers and radio operators. After that happened, I never once have believed that Enlisted is pay to win.

Same for me when I started the game. It was a ton of fun, I even called my mom to tell her I got to mow down russians with a tank mounted machine gun turret. Enlisted is the inly game I play regularly and the devs redpond and add things that get mentioned in the xbox comments. Unfortunately the trolls noticed that as well and constantly cry and beg for "balancing." Bespammingyou is the worst.

The biggest problem in Enlisted for me i how boring fighting as and agaist flamethrowers is, its always just same tactic, one guy rushes into control point/building and just sprays everything burning multiple squads at once and dummies can't kill him because of chaos and flames

If a flamethrower manages to rush into the objective then it's you who are at fault and are supposed to get destroyed. Their only purpose is to get close to the enemy and burn everything that moves so maybe focus on them when they're still far away.

If you do not buy the battle pass and premium, then trying to research anything is agonizingly slow. Plus having the extra slots for squads absolutely gives a huge advantage to premium players. I say this after playing without paying anything for a year straight, then finally caving and buying the Battle pass and premium about 7 months ago.

Once the new progression/matchmaking system is in place, I'll agree. Being physically incapable of damaging enemy armor because I haven't unlocked a good enough vehicle or any anti-armor weapons is demoralizing.

@@tony9146 if you start the Normandy campaign, you will be in an M5a1 Stuart against a Tiger H1. If you're on the Axis team, you'll start in a Puma against a Jumbo Sherman. And of course there's the chance of your opponent using the premium up-armored variants that cost $50. Good luck leveling up that squad for free. For clarification; in War Thunder the M5a1 is in tier 2.7, while the Tiger H1 is in 5.3. This means that that matchup in War Thunder is literally impossible unless a player TRIES to break the matchmaking. Even then, you'd still survive for a bit since the maps are huge and there are no 1v1 modes.

@@purplebatdragonyou can't really compare enlisted and war Thunder. Sure the Jumbo has better armor and a bigger gun than the puma but he dies to mines and at grenades just the same. If you are a good puma player you probaply won't die to the standard at grenade. And At squads can fuck you up no matter how big your tank is.

You've never used anti armor grenades? That's like the first thing you get and most squads have atleast one man who carries some. Then you just arm your entire squad with it. The early game anti tank guns are plenty strong too you just gotta hit the right spots. Took out a Panther the other day with one round from a Piat.

I do love that you can enjoy enlisted regardless of money you put in, however I can suggest to everyone that if you have the cash to buy a premium account, having the extra slots for infantry and vehicle allows you so much more wiggle room and versatility with what you're doing. Not to mention you'll skip large portions of the grind since you'll be getting 100% more experience.

@@jltaco85 You'll get a specific amount of time per payment. Around Jan of this year I was able to get a full year of premium for 20 bucks but the benefits are well worth the cost for the extra slots and faster progression to get better guns and more exp per battle which can be compounded with the daily exp boosts you can get from the log in crates which I've gotten upwards of nearly 150k XP in a single match with. It's really the only thing worth buying since most (but not all) of the premium squads and vehicles are outclassed by what you can just earn by playing over time.

I tried it for the first time last night, base inf squad in the pacific with springfields. Hid near objective and cleared advancing ground troops. 3rd on the team. Same tactic put me in the top 3 for all 4 matches I’ve ever played.

And you sucking does not equate to everyone else's experience. You ALSO get everything needed to take down any opposing squad, vehicle, or weapon by the time you hit lvl 8 in a campaign, even sooner on the others lmao. AT squad being the last one obtained on Normandy. That also gives you access to practically every different type of squad except maybe the medic and mortars depending on campaign. You can get to level 8 in less than 20 matches, even if you do terrible, so I repeat. Just PLAY THE FUCKING GAME

It's NOT JUST quick access to high level equipment. It's ACCESS to high level equipment, period. You will NEVER have a 100 round Thompson unless you pay.

I just downloaded it again after months of not playing, and while the progress has become more user friendly, i still have major issues with both the battle pass and the premium account features. Progress is still extremely slow from what used to be level 25, in order to unlock later stuff i feel like i kinda need to schedule daily sessions througout my week, and for a video game that is simply a bit much to ask. Plus any money you do spend will get you actually barely any noticeable progress below several hundreds of dollars. A year of premium for 60$/€ being the best yalue for money. It is just generally not much fun as a casual gamer in the long run. Which is a real bummer because i really like the squad based gameplay and the weapon balancing. Also after playing battlebit for a while the movement speed and animations feel insanely slow and clunky. But i guess that slowness is why even newbies can still hit people with bolt actions

Not even pay to progress quick - still kind of slow😂 most premiums are relatively garbage too. Free weapons are one of the best. I think that most ppl are just pushed back at entry lvl now when they face pm's, mg's and auto rifles with stock bolt actions(I still like to play bolt actions tho(arisaka 38 rifle, manliher - one of my favs)

@@Palora01even if it is, it is quite easy to go against people who have spent money on the game. Premium squads with really good weapons and soldiers can be easily killed it's almost hard to differentiate them from normal squads if you didn't know what squads were premium. The pay to win aspect is not so noticeable.

Have you tried to take or hold a point with bolt rifles against Drum Thompson troops? And ofc you get more from paying than just better weapons, don't you? Like the ability to have 3 vehicle squads. Eventually, if you grind long enough, you can reduce the gap between premium and freemium capabilities but you can never close it.

I’ve spent in enlisted 24$ just to buy a premium APC for the Russians and so far I’m using normal guns, I usually get 50-100 kills per game, it’s really not pay to win

I did actually get myself a premium vehicle in the Moscow campaign, but it was only so I could have a more powerful weapon that could help me progress a bit more faster through the game, and it does work 😅

I disagree. The fact premium accounts have 10 squads in 1 match is already pay to win... I don't have the energy or will to explain reason to somebody who's willfully ignorant just so they can reap said benefits. I played enlisted for a year... they've definitely made improvements on the free to play aspect, but it should have been done sooner. Now I just can't stand the game...

"Pay to progress" and pay to win are basically the same. You pay to progress to get better gear therefore to win easier / earlier. The argument that the game isnt P2W cause you could beat a bad P2W player without paying doesnt make any sense as this could happen in any other P2W Game. And if the game would clearly not be P2W he wouldnt have to mention it 8+ times in this short.

Exactly, pay to win means an advantage that leads towards a victory. It's not like someone buys something on a pay 2 win game and never lose again.

The problem is that indirectly it's pay to win because I, being level 10, they put me with people with jumbos with p47s with machine guns without recoil that kill with 2 shots. My tanks don't penetrate jumbos and I can't break through either because of the map limits.

As a warthunder player who is used to P2W, who tried Enlisted this week, I don't CARE - there are SO MANY silver sinks and stores it's just disheartening and I don't want to grind anymore. I didn't feel underpowered just to be clear. I was always close to the top in my team, probably because of how many bots are around in BR1 and also because I understand WT damage system to vehicles. But I just don't feel excited AT ALL to level, have to buy individual weapons eo each squad member, etc.

Pay to progress quickly is literally the same as PTW. If you go and play a game like War Thunder which is literally the same concept, you can pay to progress your plane to have better equipment. Sure you can unlock it for free if you do a tom of grinding but someone who might pay or be given content, like yourself, has an advantage. Its most definitely pay to win.

You can pretty much get everything free, so I don’t understand why they say it’s paid to win. You could even get the paratroopers and most vehicles, except for unique ones, but all you’re paying for is the historical or uniqueness or whatever. Time is money anyways so grinding is the payment for everything and every game.

We hide behind the word p2g when if we have 2 players of the same level, the one who spends will have an advantage over the one who doesn't spend. If I pay and get benefits in game it's p2w, also because those who spend usually continue to play it and get better and better. In fact, pay to grind is even worse than pay to win, at least in p2w I spend as much as my opponent and I'm sure I'm on equal terms, but here you spend and if you're not constant you still fall behind. I won't even start playing it.

No, paratroopers with 50 round smg isn't pay to win. Neither is having multiple vehicle squads, and more squad slots so you can better adapt.

Well, gold order weapons are some of the best (if not the best ones) in the game. You essentially need to pay to get access to them, either via the Battle pass or just buy them outright. So from that perspective it is a bit pay to win, yes.

Having the extra slots for squads is a major advantage, and behind a pay wall, aside from that there really isn't much else that comes to mind. Have to be a complete psychopath to pay for silver to pay for all the shit we shouldn't have to pay silver for.

I will say it's definitely not pay to win but the paratroopers are the only thing that balances them is that equipping them would put you at br 5 and you would have one squad with effective equipment in early stages of the game

He is right about it being paid to progress but he's not giving me a true example of how it's not paid to win because all he said was it's paid to progression. I've paid for items, and will still lose. I'm not paying to increase my skill, I'm spending money for items I don't have time to earn by grinding. I'd argue anybody who PLAYS to gain these items, is exponentially better at the game than me.

Troops are not pay to win but tanks and vehicles are just unfun. Playing Normandy and fighting a tiger vs your stuart is unfun. Worst, the next 2 tiers of vehicle cant even pen tigers or panthers. Its fun when both sides have equal vehicles but thats rarely the case.

I completely agree with the one exception of the flamethrower squads on Tunisia. Those squads give the player something that takes a ton of time to earn, but also provides a squad with 4 Flametroopers, something completely unobtainable without spending money and gives a noticeable advantage

This is the only argument I ever see "It's not pay to win if ur extremely fuckin sweaty" like bro that's every game that has pay 2 win aspects. No ones saying you spend $10 and you win every match, that's not what pay 2 win means. Pay 2 win is paying for something that gives you a extreme advantage compared to someone who didn't pay. "Pay to progress" is pay 2 win, especially when if you want to progress for free anywhere in this game you have to play all day every day and that's ridiculous. Im not bad at the game or ever even low on the leader board and im running around with level 3 people and shit rifiles. Still doesnt mean the game isnt pay 2 win because if i had all these planes and tanks and machine guns that shoot across the map and better squads and more squads id probably have even more of a advantage. Which is what Pay 2 Win means, it doesnt legitimately mean buy something and never lose again. I feel like everyone crying this game isnt pay 2 win is just insecure because they bought something. No one cares if you bought something, people jsut wish the devs werent as money hungry. This game is already broken and they still focus on adding packs.
