I still can’t believe Katelyn is TALLER than me! I’m 5’4 and I always thought she was like 5’0 while Evan was like 6’2 or something. But no Katelyn is above average height and Evan is just a Big Boi😂

My gf and I had a lengthy discussion about this the other day lol. We concluded it's not just Katelyn's comparison to Evan that makes her look short, she's also built like a petite girl. She has big eyes and small features, and her shoulders and torso are proportionally small compared to her head/face. Makes her look smaller and also younger, even though she is actually at or above average height in the US. And Evan is just a freakin giant.

I'm so guilty of these assumptions! I really assumed (for no actual, logical reason I can put my finger on) that Katelyn was a very tiny person. Like, 4'11 tiny. Turns out she's three freaking inches taller than me! 😂

I've always been short, but recently I went into a growth spurt and now I'm taller than my friend who has always been taller before. It feels wrong to look down instead of up at her. It just feels unnatural.

I think seeing Kaitlyn climbing up on top of things to be able to drill or some such on the workbench is what made me think she was tiny. I realize that it's easier for Kaitlyn to stand atop something, than it is for Evan to stoop.

I'm 5'5 (165cm) and my husband 6'4 (194cm). My kids are in the upper percentiles for height as well. My 8yr old is chest height on me already.

This is the same height difference between my husband and I. I’m fairly short and he’s pretty tall, but neither of us are noticeably super short or tall... until we stand next to each other

Ah okay! 6'5" is quite tall (I used to work with someone about that height and I always felt like an ant next to them at 5'7"/5'8"-ish). Katelyn's thinner/more petite features made me think she was closer to 5'1" or so. Neat!

I knew Evan had to be 6'5", or very close, because I know multiple people who are about 6'4" to 6'6". As a person who's 5'3" it is infuriating, but also hilarious, especially since I'm the shortest person, in my friend group (the shortest of the tall is 5'4"). So, basically you can just imagine me, who's 5'3" standing next to one of my best friends who's, at least 6'5" (he hasn't checked his height a while).

Ah, answered after so many years. Lol That’s reminiscent of my son who isn’t quite as tall as Evan. Our family does the early growth cycle instead of waiting to the late teens to start catching up. Even so, my boy (June birthday) didn’t hit 5’ until he turned 11. He made up for it though by literally growing 4” a year for the next 3 years. He hit 6’ for 14/starting 8th grade and then did 8th grade graduation as 6’2”. 😄 The photos of that day are hilarious, let me tell you - you guys can probably relate to that. He slowed down after that though; he’s 20 now and 6’3”.

As a 6 foot tall woman... I resonate with Evan more on the height aspect. lol The HS volleyball coach wanted me to play just simply bc of my height. He said and I quote, "You can't teach tall", which I took as both a compliment and an insult. lol I have something that can't be taught... but it doesn't matter if I can play if I can just hold my arms up to block...

when I first saw a video of you guys my immediate thought was that Katelyn was short, but then I looked at the height of the cabinets on the background and I quickly realized that it was provavly Evan who was really tall. I'm about the same height as Katelyn, and I have a friend who's even taller than Evan, so I get it haha

This is a mood. My cousins, aunts, uncles, etc, who all older than me, are so much shorter than me (and most of my immediate family.) My father is 6’0” and my mother is 5’5” which is pretty tall for Asian people standards. My mom’s side has taller men and shorter women, and my dad and his brother are the only tall people on his side. My brother is a whopping 6’3” and I’m a fairly tall 5’9”. We constantly have to remind ourselves that our extended family isn’t short, we’re just tall.

I met Evan and Katelyn at Makerfaire Bay Area 2019 (the last one 😭) and one thing Katelyn and I talked about is how tall Evan is 😂 like she says she's not short, Evan is just REALLY tall. Katelyn and I are approximately the same height 😅 I was shocked haha

It blows my mind that Katelyn is only an inch shorter than me!! My boyfriend is the same height as Evan, but when I see Evan and Katelyn next to each other I see a much bigger height difference! I feel tiny next to my boyfriend, but I don't think I look tiny next to him, if that makes sense.

I'm 5'11 and have always been taller then most people my age granted I live in the us and that's not the hardest thing to do when the average male height is 5'9. I think it may be because on both my moms side and my dads side of the family I have dutch ancestry.
