Is EVERLANE worth it? An honest review of the Everlane basics I have in my closet

3 жыл бұрынIs Everlane good quality and are they worth it? Today I will be doing an Everlane review and talk about some of their basics that I have had in my closet for a few years. I will be reviewing their cheeky jeans, skinny jeans, alpaca crew, pima ribbed turtleneck, basic t shirts, and their jumpsuit.
I know there has been some news in the last few years that Everlane is maybe not as ethical or sustainable as they have claimed to be, and that has made a lot of people stop shopping from them. But my personal shopping mindset is to buy slowly and with intention, and look for good quality clothes that will last, not only buying from sustainable brands. Also I have bought a lot of my Everlane clothes secondhand, which helps to make them cost less for me. So in todays video I will share what I think of the quality of their clothes and if they have lasted in my wardrobe.

I couldn’t get a decent fit in their jeans and the one item, a jumpsuit that I bought didn’t work out for me, either. I’m still willing to shop there, though.

I don’t have any Everlane clothing items at this time, but I have browsed through their website and I like the simple minimal style and natural fibers. So maybe in the near future!

If you like Everlane I'd recommend Quince, they're the same quality and style as Everlane, but about 1/3 the price :)

From what I could find out, the allegations against Everlane were just the claims of one disgruntled previous employee, who thought she was treated unfairly there. No one individual or company is perfect all the time, but Everlane is doing some important things for clothing sustainability and ethics. I’m going to give the brand another chance.

Great video. I ordered a few of their turtleneck and mock neck tops for work and they seem to be good quality. I was tired of spending $8-$12 on basic tops at Target that don’t look great after a year of wear. I haven’t had any luck finding everlane clothes at thrift stores but I will continue the hunt.

I'm glad I could be helpful! I also haven't found any Everlane at my local thrift stores, but do find a lot of thier items from online secondhand shops like Poshmark and Mercari. Have you tried those before?

I love thrift shopping, the brands I look for are madewell, j crew, coldwater creek, anne taylor and talbots. I have never seen everlane at the thrift shops I shop at. I love shopping for my children there too. Thank you for the videos!

Yes local thrift shops are so great! I’m always on the hunt for anything linen. I usually see a lot of everlane at online secondhand shops like Poshmark or Mercari. 😀

Thanks! This review is really good. I like Everlane but less and less. I feel like their new styles increasingly are just bad…not at all interesting, very frumpy or not stylish fits, bad fabrics and textures. Also, I have always had issues with their color selection. They launch really horrible colors for me…the sage green, dusty blue, super pale pink, mustard, lime green…these are colors that flatter very few people. I wish they would launch more universally-flattering colors and maybe keep a few warm or cool-toned limited edition colorways. They have a few staples that I adore and can’t find anywhere else; actually you featured them here. The box cut tee, the air cami, and the micro rib turtleneck. I also love the micro rib funnel neck. These are really unique styles, if only they would launch more flattering colors!! I ordered 4 of those turtlenecks on Nov. 12 and I can see they are in stock but they still don’t ship them to me. The royal blue (which I ordered) is no longer available so I am now certain they won’t ship me that one. I’m super frustrated with Everlane because they just seem to have a lot of issues with their design team. They should stick with classics and just keep those in stock!!

Im a size 25 or 26 in their jeans and a Small or Medium in tops depending on how I want it to fit 😊

This company is so hyped by influencers. Their clothing quality is crap for the price. I would never shop here full price. Even during a sale, their pricing is still high compared to the quality. I can tell from their jeans that they aren’t high quality. The material is on the thin side not thick at all like other good brands. Plus all clothes came wrinkled. Not worth shopping here
