Never understand why Fifa doesn’t choose a progression like MLB The Show, that game has a perfect progression system, your rating and stats increase or decrease based on your performances

Player career has made great improvements this year but still needs a much deeper background/story and feature improvements (similar to NBA 2K which keeps you on your toes 24/7), fifa just dies out after one season unless you keep switching teams but that gets boring… My issues are: 1. why can’t I work my way up to club captain & country captain… why is starting 11 the max role I can get? 2. It’s far too easy to get into the starting 11, I started a new career after going through 3/4 seasons to test it out and after 2 games in my first season at Man United I was starting in striker at 70 OVR over Ronaldo 🤦🏽‍♂️I’m not saying I wanna always come off the bench but you guys get me… 3. Season long objectives that if I complete I get nicely rewarded for (goal targets, assists etc etc). As the max level is 25 and once you’ve used all your XP tokens that’s it, so maybe after completion like 5 additional XP token per objective, so let’s say you have to score 50 goals in 38 games (the Prem) but you have to play all 38 games on Legendary or Above, so it’s actually a grind and so you can’t just cheat the system. 4. I used to always hate the accomplishment system and found it boring but looking back I think that’s better in terms of grinding the game out, as this year levelling up this year is FARR tooo easy! You can hit max level and attributes within half a season easily… 5. The ability to customise the squad is ESSENTIAL! I play for Man UTD & England and some awful reoccurring examples are: For England: Me - ST Sterling - LW Declan Rice - RW 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️and this is an on going thing every single season (and for multiple FIFA’s now) when we have Sancho, Rashford & Grealish, Saka on the bench!!!! Silly bugs like this need to get removed asap and the best/quickest solution is letting us adjust team management ONCE WE BECOME CAPTAIN and for UTD… We start Fred & McTominay and we always start pogba on the bench 🤦🏽‍♂️we play, 4-2-3-1 (2 cms) so there’s no reason for pogba to not start over Fred or Scott, I think if we added these improvements then trust me career mode would seriously be one of the best games modes, I’d rather the whole first season start 10 league games but for the cup start every single game (just like real life) and truly grind for the starting role then work my way to club & country captain then being able to become a starter by the 2nd game in pre season at 70 OVR lmao & that’s the story line done lool 🤷🏽‍♂️😂

I’m a RW, the game puts me on the left wing for a free kick, the opposition clears it and I get the message “poor positioning”. I run back to my position and by the time I get there my team are attacking and I get the message “poor positioning”. I’ve chased back to prevent a breakaway goal and had the “poor positioning” message. It’s my biggest problem with this mode. My next problem is when you call for a pass when in space yet you’re team mate messes it up and you get the message “bad call for a pass”. There are a few annoyances that pretty much ruin this mode

Would be great if u could give press conferences as a player... Or be able to choose or influence which team u want to go play for. If u play for Real Madrid, its impossible to play for a smaller team like Hertha Berlin right after.

The running style is very effective when dribbling like messi at least it was in fifa 21 you often keep the ball more to the feet like messi was back in the day, its not effective if you just play run and shoot

One thing that would be great if added is contract demands from your player. Say for example you move to a club and instead of just saying wage, they tell you the amount of years/bonuses etc. and if you are coming to the last year of your contract you should be able to demand a lot more if you feel like you are a vital player for the team just like players do irl. It’ll just add a bit more realism.

As a boot collector feel a bit let down with the boots. Not many new ones considering how many colourways we always get and surely could've left in models from a couple years ago like venoms, ect that are still popular. Ctrs are quite nice colourway a little off. Though main thing is the colourway variants like if you're starting a player career mode most those boots are rare and hard to get. Would be spending £500+ per pair and wouldn't last for seasons

You don't really get to PICK the objectives. You are given all 3 of them.

I agree with everybody here, but one point that is often overlooked is money. There is literally no use for money in this game mode. An interesting mechanic to include would be that money can be used to buy the clothes you wear when not in uniform, and then make more animations and situations that are NOT related to being on the pitch. It should also affect where you live, the car you drive, etc; in general find a way to force players to make an interesting decision on how they spend money. Implement offers like sponsorships and ads that would give you more money, but take time from your training and preparation, thus stalling your development a bit. Then you would have to choose between more money or spending more time training. Another thing that would be nice, is that the team and league you’re playing in has an effect on your development; If you play against teams with high overalls and perform well, you should be able to grow faster than when you’re playing well in a low level league. The catch would be that a spot in the starting 11 would be harder to get at a top tier club than a low level club, so not performing well could slow down your development a lot more, since you don’t get enough playing time, so you’d have to choose between a comfortable position in a lower team and steady development or risk it by playing at a competitive team and maybe developing a lot faster. Mainly making money a bigger part of the game, and have players make harder choices regarding the amount of money they get and the teams they play at.

i reached max level at 80 rated and only 18 years old, can i still upgrade my player?

this mode is so broken it actually sucks. - objectives make no sense, I could score 20 goals in 4 games but as soon as I quick sim a match I can get put into the reserves all because I didn't get above a 6.5 rating. Your manager would rather comment on your poor match rating than give you praise for scoring a hat trick. - you can't negotiate contracts, wages, release clauses etc. Now that I think of it, what is the POINT of wages when they don't affect your player in any way. - the positions are STILL broken, e.g. (getting put in CM even though your player is a ST) - training gives nothing of use other than XP - A.I. is braindead as always - No interactive conversations with the manager, teammates or even the media. - Ridiculous transfers that would never happen IRL yet happen every minute on FIFA - Your player's talents pretty much never being recognised (Seriously, how haven't I been selected for the TOTY even though I bagged 92 goals in a year?) I keep saying EA should've continued with "The Journey" because this franchise is a joke at this point and it's a disgrace to even call this a "Career mode". Take notes from 2K, EA. As long as this mode continues to be garbage I will continue not buying this game. If I'm missing anything let me know.

Bro EA know and see the things we want them to add but It’s like every year they only add 1 or 2 new things to career mode (Excluding animations and cut scenes) They are capable of making the perfect career mode like 2K but would rather stretch the fifa series by adding 1 thing every year till 2035. Imagine being able to navigate with your player for training where you will be able to walk around the training ground and do different training drills or even go to the gym to gain strength and muscle. Even at half-time when walking into the dressing rooms. Seeing the coaches talk to their players at half time or maybe as a captain talk to them yourself in order to boost moral and performance for the second half. Even adding a social media platform where you have pressure,hate and support from fans and famous names in order to do well in the upcoming fixtures. Having post match interviews or press conferences with the coach in player career mode. Also being able to volunteer to take certain set pieces where your request will either be accepted or rejected by the coach or captain during the game. Small but very realistic things in terms of gameplay experience should be added. Not just animations and enhanced motion technology

Anyone else have the problem of being played out of position? I created a Striker, and am being played as a Central Defensive Midfielder... and to make matters worse, this "bug" has been around for years and was not fixed!

Serious resolution issues on my Series S. Players look so blurry in gameplay. Cut scenes are fine but when I'm playing it looks like a PS2 game and I'm not joking.

Playing in lower league and now im max lvl and have a 91 rating when the team is at league 1.. Cant request for a transfer since its always blocked by the manager.. Cant run out contract since theres non.. Played so bad until the manager put me on the transfer list but no offers received.. Played in the world cup, but the season ends while the tournament is still in progress but when go to new season, the team already lost.. The match got skipped.. I took number 10, but theres 2 players with number 10 in the same team.. So overall, i dont really enjoy it like i think i should..

They should take a thing or 2 from nba 2k. There my career is on a different lvl compared to fifa. I can become team captain and influence trades. I can change my whole lineup and give minutes to whichever players I want to play. I can change the whole style of playing by editing the playbook. Plus there's the whole city and rpg system that makes it more interesting

the PES become a legend experience trumps be a pro player mode on Fifa….way more realistic and logically difficult, makes you appreciate growth and achievements…….being able to pick your club kills the experience, as well as taking any player number you want.

ATTENTION !!!!! Don't let EA fool you !!!! The real and real FIFA 22 is only available on the next gen consoles. What EA wants to turn you on with the PC and PS4 version is no longer FIFA 22 but FIFA 21 with update. I compared the PS5 version with the PC and PS4 version. The difference is as sharp as day and night. That's why there was no DEMO like last year. That had nothing to do with Corona, but because EA has wanted to sell us the same game for 4 years and we shouldn't see it beforehand, because otherwise nobody would buy it anymore.

I don't get why the game has your star players on the bench. Spurs have Gil and hojbjerg up front and Kane and Son don't even make the bench. The line up the games make is all messed up

the manager rating seems too easy to get up when you do training. I can go from a sub to starter easily even if I am awful in matches when *most* of the time irl that's not how it works

People are saying the PS4 version is more like 21 than an improved FIFA like the version for PS5. And currently with just around 20% of players having a Ps5 because of stock issue is sad that these KZfaqrs and reviewers only comment and try the PS5 version. I want a PS5 I just can’t buy one because is always out of stock. So in the meantime will have to stick with PS4 games. I bet that more than half of your subscribers don’t own a PS5 - yet - and still all we see is comments on the Ps5 version. Sad and disregard for subscribers. Just saying.

Really bad career mode . Die play 2 games and they put on a transferlist And afther a few matches i think 3 they put me on a transferlist at the new club . En it did happen 4 times even if i did good 2 times man of the match and worth 77.000.000 in 2 seasons at legendary level. Thats not right 🤬

Not a fan as of yet... Feels like we've gone 1 step forwards, 2 steps backwards. Made a player career at Luton and was getting played out of position so wasn't happy after pre season requested a loan and suddenly got a transfer offer from Man U. Then made a manager career and feel is no different from last year if not worse. The budget's and valuations seem a bit more realistic from the little I played though the negotiation cut scenes are terrible, the synchronisation is off and the annoying quiet music is just off putting. And the interview questions were all the same, surely wouldn't of been hard to change them?
