22:55 when I played the pixel remaster they didn't have that red background text yet. Might be something they only added recently? Though even without that it really wasn't that difficult with one exception

Did you play the PC version? I played it on console and I'm aware that they added some features to it like the pixelated font, so maybe that was one of them?

@@FaustFantasy they added the console changes to PC end of January, but I played on PC before that so might have originally been a console thing.

Honestly I don't hate this game but I would rather play the newer versions of it than the original version of it. There's still tedium, but it's less egregious in newer releases. I also prefer the PSP version.

14:00 hey while beavers didn't become a large part of FF lore, they do come back in one other FF game

@@FaustFantasy they are in an FF14 expansion. In that game even though they are only minor characters in side quests they are extremely mysterious and the devs go out of their way not to explain them

Ah, I only played 14 when they first released A Realm Reborn back in 2013 for maybe a month or so. I'll get to it as part of this series... but it'll be a LONG while lol.
