"If I talk too much, I risk to repeat." Italian architect Gaetano Pesce's works of art fill the halls and walls of museums all over the world, but how has he remained so elusive, separating designer from the design? In 1968, he designed Foot "UP7" and began to carve out an artistic style uniquely his own. Now, at 82-years-old, Pesce speaks to his career, craft, and begs the question, is he the most interesting designer in the world?

He said that he’s an artist only when he messes up the mixing ratio of the resin and ends up with a collapsed piece that he can’t find a name for and just ends up calling it a sculpture.

Such creative artwork. It’s different and colorful and bright. And such an interesting artist. I loved hearing his explanations. Is this something that’s done weekly or monthly that I can subscribe to? An artist of the month, perhaps?

You should look up 'blek le rat', he's a french graffiti artist who was around before Banksy, and Banksy stole most of art basically line for line. Also, there's no way this guy is Banksy, I don't really belive anyone seriously thinks he is.

he is a great artist, but to say that he invented the green facade in architecture is a reach that has no equal. i am an architect and I did green facades in study projects without ever hearing who this guy is - because it is natural and obvious to make the facade green, I didnt need gaetano to roger that.
@dorratrojette
@dorratrojette 2 жыл бұрын
You did green facades because u saw many buildings before with green facades its not your original idea. What he meant is that he started the green facade idea and now you see it everywhere
@lolollolol5654
@lolollolol5654 2 жыл бұрын
@@dorratrojette i did it because yes I saw it many times and because it is natural to do it, if you study architecture. 1938 is the year gaetano was born, and it is the same year stanley hart white, a professor of landscape architecture patented "a 'vegetation-Bearing Architectonic Structure". the idea is even older and goes back to hanging gardens of babylon or even the garden cities in germany and england

To answer his question No. He is a master of the narrative. Without his narrative the things he makes are nothing. I couldn’t imagine living with any of his things in the same space, it would cause nausea. The sooner we get over the self indulgent “art” of the 20th century the better.
