OH also Gambit joined apocalypse temporarily ot keep an eye on him, as well as to try and forget about what had happened with mystique and rogue. Also a big signifigance of that story was that, only a few peple were ever considered for the position of "Death", as that was like the right hand of Apocalypse, and if he died, whomever was his "Death" would ake his place, as that was the backup plan that all individuals doing what Apocalypse had done for thousands of yearso n behalf oft he Celestials had been doing. I dont remember how many other death characters there were, but it was the highest honor, and I think only Archangel was in a similar position, and thus was like the next "apocalypse" in an alternate future. AS was an alternate version of Wolverine after he too went from being "war" and or "death" in an alternate universe before ascending. But the power still dwells within Gambit, and they kinda just forgot about it in the comics. *sigh All that wasted potential. Hell even if they did another itme travel fiasco, and it ended up that Gambit WAS Mr Sinister or Apocalypse, in some weird twist of fate and temporal paradox, that would be better than just letting things be forgotten and go unsued that were such great story plot material.
