Yep! This happens with survivor as well, but it's for add-ons and items instead. During an event like anniversary, you are guaranteed 2 of the event items/cakes and killers have it better there since they don't have items to use like survivors do!

But that would be a bad thing on deathslinger or demogorgon, etc. Since their iris suck

@@thenegativoneify I mean you still get a plethora of different addons to choose from in your final level 50 bloodweb so it's not the worst thing in the world. It takes about 30k to clear a level 50 bloodweb while only going to browns and yellows. Additionally, at prestige 100 during events you would get a guaranteed 2 event offerings/addons with the potential to get up to 4 for those killers, so if you enjoy playing them it's worth it for that alone imo

I main Pyramid Head, who has only two viable add-ons, and both of his Iri's are easily the worst iri add ons in the game, so this tip does nothing for me

its definitely smartest to get every character to p3 so you have all their perks t3 on everyone. i wouldn't prestige over that unless you have to, or you want the bloody outfit.

@@trevorrehurek3391As nice as this would be BHVR would never do it, they’d lose too much money as there’d be little to no incentive of buying outfits with actual money (like buying auric cells). The only money they’d still earn would obviously be when players buy more characters but being at around $5-$7 each, their profits would be cut in half not making anything off of outfits which they constantly release and debatably release more often and frequently than new characters.

I think that'd be a really cool addition to the game! I have every achievement so I do the adepts but once I'm done I never go back to it. Would be really cool if there were a player card or title that comes to the game for doing it and then have some sort of stat tracker come along with it :D

Getting to prestige 9 gives you charms of their teachable perks as well. Charms may not be super important but they are on the prestige reward track :D

True. - There are exclusive skins for Hooked by Daylight (their DBD adult visual novel), Meet Your Maker and Switch. There was also an exclusive for Deathgarden, but since the game has been discontinued, they made it accessable for everyone. - The red backgrounds were "legacy" rewards when they implemented the new prestige system. The most frustrating thing was, that the Devs promised, that it wouldn't be cosmetics, but "something to show off" regardless. It ended up being these backgrounds who will nobody see except on your Steam Profile or if you stream. Thanks a lot.... - There are also cosmetics that are no longer obtainable like Meg's Boop the Snoot mask (it was a code) or single cosmetic peaces from the first few rifts which did not make it to the shop. - Prime Gaming cosmetics. - Charms which are no longer obtainable. Even if "nobody cares" about them, they are still exclusive cosmetics. - There are also cosmetics which were limited in the first place: a trapper shirt which you would get if you purchased some merch during a specific time, a Nea top ("Hype") which was a givaway from a certain streamer, Panda TV shirts from a tournament as well as cosmetics which only TTV supporters, Fog Whisperers or Devs/community managers can obtain. Not by being a streamer.) (Although it's been 40K BP for 4 months now.) - Items that were removed. (Like Bubba's survivor masks, albeit for a good reason.) - Hooked on You skins I am sure that I could find more. But, don't feel like it. Lol

Also the Twitch drops rewards where if you watched a certain amount of a stream with the drops enabled for DBD you'd get cosmetics... Except there was a time frame. And Switch was excluded from this. Oh and also SO many people didn't and still have not received some of the rewards (in some cases people didn't get ANY of them). But FOMO for p100 that's an openly obtainable and always present feature in the game, right?

Stranger Things chapter was out of their control though, that was a legal contract renewal issue. My guess is, Netflix was asking for too much at the time.

@@TheOnlyTyMI’m staying hopeful that one day Behaviour will agree that a cool red badge isn’t enough for our dedication to the game. I hope (this is just my idea) that the P100 rewards will be the character’s default cosmetics but with a LEGACY portrait theme on the character’s body. That’s my ideal reward for reaching P100.

I spread mine out P33 Myers P20 Freddy/Twins but I feel like you master em after like P8 just about getting add ons that suite you Chucky may be first I try for 💯 on 😂

I have a P100 Wesker but I am still far away from really mastering him. Hug Tech needs a lot more work on my part.

@@lapisinfernalis9052 I can relate. Weskers hug tech are not super easy to pull off but the good thing about them is they are niche and not required to play him effectively! It took me ages to finally have his hug tech click in my head only to find that the practical use for them is as a mind game lol. The majority of things you can hug tech as Wesker you can get a hit by just using a quick succession dash flick dash

During the rant I wasn't specifically saying legacy, I was saying something similar to it. Legacy remains the only real FOMO reward in Dead By Daylight at the moment because back in the day getting it was a massive time sink. P100 nowadays is much harder to do than old legacy so I do feel we should be rewarded with something and making a reskin of legacy would be the easiest thing for behavior to do since it's just a default skin with some added colors to it!

⁠@@TheOnlyTyMP100 grind is not harder than Legacy grind. Nowadays you have escape cakes, bloody party streamers, survivor pudding, and anniversary offerings to help you with bloodpoint grind. Role incentives are also a thing. The bloodpoint offerings didn't exist until the first year, which legacy was far done. Incentives were only added a year ago or so. Bloodweb costs were also expensive back then compared to now. Prices were a bit bigger and the bloodweb themselves were big. Being in red ranks also significantly increased your wait times to find a match. tl;dr bloodpoint offerings weren't a thing, matchmaking was longer and bloodwebs are expensive and bigger.

@@Narrowfodder I remember. I started playing dbd back when it launched. Getting bloodpoints and spending them were a different behemoth back then, but it did take a lot less time to complete overall. One of my friends got full prestige 3 within a couple of weeks on Dwight without these incentives and bloodpoint offerings. He may or may not have been playing the game at every moment, I'm unsure of that, but even if he was, it was still shorter than any P100 grind I've done

That's fair, if you don't want to get a P100 then that's the best thing to do! Get all the perks leveled up for everyone so you can switch around :D

A lot of people correlate prestige with skill which is untrue but can lead to these unfortunate circumstances. While I agree that more people should know about this, it wouldn't change how people initially react to prestige 100's. This happens in most games just because people subconsciously correlate time spent to skill. If they did hide your P100 icon from the killer but not your survivor teammates then I would think that middle ground would be nice but overall I'm against hiding prestige levels because it's making your efforts less known

@@TheOnlyTyM Also true. I thought about something like an option to hide prestige, but that wouldn't do anything as killers will just suspect, that you want to hide a high prestige and dodge anyway.

And having p100 rewards would be really nice as some characters have extremely limmited amount of cosmetics and will likely never see another. So any chance at a new one would be epic

In game yeah, survivors have the shorter end of the stick for being P100. Being hard focused for being P100 is never fun and seeing mori's brought for you sucks too. But it happens from time to time which does suck. Having a survivor at P100 has the same benefits as killer tho as you still get those big bloodwebs with the same level of rarity add-ons and items, but killers are a little more powerful with their add-ons. As for the rewards I would very much like to see something for P100 that stays in the game for everyone to obtain at their leisure!

Thank you for the comment! I'm still fairly new to the KZfaq thing as I've only really been uploading since dbd's anniversary this year! Streaming has become pretty hard to do since I'm busy with work and family but I enjoy creating content! It would also be really nice to just hang out with everyone here and just chat while playing some dbd :D

If you plan to get a Prestige 100, the best way to do it is getting the perks at level 1, but that is a very min-max strategy and will save you potentially 1mil if you get good RNG. Not necessary but it does help with bloodpoint savings slightly

I'm a nurse main so obviously I enjoy strong killers! No one forced me to do those 3 killers, I just enjoy playing them :D

I'm a killer main through and through, but I do play survivor every now and then! I think having a P100 on both sides can be beneficial to you just for the sole purpose of being able to hoard event items, offerings, and such. It also gives you an incentive just to play both sides as P100 is a flex and you'll want to show that to others :D

Very true statement! I've been playing since the launch of the game and during that time I had no clue what I was doing. I didn't have any unlocked teachables and I didn't have an inkling how to get them, but after legacy came out I quickly learned that you had to buy out the bloodweb. Once I learned that, I basically went and grabbed all the teachables I could for killer and survivor! Personally, I think getting every character to prestige 1 is a higher priority than getting to prestige 3 because leveling up a killer that has perks on their bloodweb will make the grind a tad bit shorter since eating a perk can cause the entity to spawn faster! P100 atm isn't really super worth it but it's a fun grind to work on once you have everything else you're looking for :D

I have no one over P15. But I have EVERYONE at least P3.

@@EvanSnowWolf for the most part I do as well, there are some killers that are only P1 on my account and it's so I can make my bloodwebs easier for future P100's. Getting characters to P3 isn't a bad idea though if your goal is to just play any character with max level perks!

Well, I started in 2020 with the Blight release, so I've had time to grind this out. I was doing it back when every Prestige level DELETED the character's inventory. I have a P9 Laurie Strode with only ONE page of items. @@TheOnlyTyM

You can use your points towards getting the prestige skins or getting the charms, but after that you don't really have much else. P100 grinds are kinda pointless as there are no rewards past P9 on anyone other than just having an icon. If you're like me and don't use items or add-ons, there's no real reason to spend your bloodpoints other than on offerings that give you more bloodpoints. P100 is pretty much a goal for players who have already done what they want with their bloodpoints and have nothing left to work towards, but there is still no reward for it so it remains a pointless bloodpoint dump

@@TheOnlyTyM Thats where ive been at. Have every survivor at at least P3. Then some P4, P6, P12, P16, P23, and my Ada is P96.

Tbf it's just people trying to find any sort of reason to hate. Dbd has a lot of players who can't stand certain characters and will do/say anything just to be mean for no reason other than they don't like the character

I agree with that. After my first P100 I just sort of leveled up my character aimlessly until I had the crazy idea to get 2 killers to P100 at the same time. Now I plan on doing really stupid challenges with prestige 100's just for the hell of it lol. With Xenomorph I got them to P100 without playing a single game of them and that was pure pain but it makes for a good story!

Never really got that tbh looping the killer for 1-3 gens is the exact same . There isn’t more skill in looping for 3 gens instead of one , just means your team mates either can’t find a gen , are afk , pointing at each other , or are doing a tome . Sure you hit 4 or 5 that’s some nice skill expression , but lasting a minute in chase isn’t the most difficult thing .

@@majimasbish2430 Again, as far as I know that is not the case. I believe the David one floating around is fake or a ptb like photo. I have recently gotten a Prestige 100 character past the Chucky update and on my end I have nothing of the sort. Only ones I have currently are the good guy photo/banner and the campfire photo.

@@majimasbish2430 If it is a PTB photo then there still is hope! Ptb photo's are usually works in progress so they could just not be ready with it quite yet. With the release of banners, I'm sure they are going to release all of the prestige ones all at once rather than some at a time and then some at a later time. All we can do is wait :D

I don't use items or addons on either side so for me the only worth part is for guaranteed BP offerings during events. If that's what you're looking at getting then it's completely worth it! I'm a big advocate for P100 grinds and I respect the players who get it done :D

That's the way to do it! I started learning Blight and Wesker using a backpack build with no addons or gen slowdown to force myself into using their respective powers to their highest potential! If you make the game harder for yourself while learning, you'll be able to do some crazy things once you get it down and put on stronger builds! :D

Getting P100's in your lobbies with more hours than you isn't something to be too upset over. Dbd's MMR system is based loosely on how many kills you get on average or how many escapes you get on average. Since nothing else in the game dictates what your MMR should be, you'll get varying degrees of survivors and killers pretty much always. It does kinda suck, I agree, but it's just how the game is.

I think adding more levels to the cap without giving rewards to people who have already hit the cap would be a kick in the nuts for a lot of players. They wouldn't be rewarding their players who enjoy playing, they would be continuing to dangle a carrot in front of their face. This would create massive backlash on them for no reason really. And I don't disagree with you, getting to prestige 100 is pretty much just a flex and nothing more, but people also do it to show their dedication to the characters they love! It's not counter intuitive to want to grind to prestige 100 when you have everything else prestige wise because you'll be able to get more items and offerings and addons. Once we get further rewards it'll make it a little less pointless, but for now it still does have it's small cases of usefulness

We've had countless cosmetics and rewards before be limited time items that were not a purchase. What I don't like about their response is that they immediately thought to say there will be no rewards because of FOMO practice, not that they aren't working on any at the moment or that they don't have anything planned yet. If they didn't want to create a limited time reward for prestige 100 they wouldn't have shot down the idea of getting any prestige 100 reward using a shitty excuse like FOMO Practice. In my personal opinion, I believe there should be a reward that is not a limited time cosmetic and it should just be a reward upon reaching P100 that should stay even after it comes to the game!

@@TheOnlyTyM Thats part of why I do it, ive started on some other killers but they have fallen off for me because either there wasnt much to it or in one case, it was legion. But chucky just seems so enjoyable for both sides, and was the most fun ive had since weskers release for a chapter release.

I have only once stopped a P100 grind and it was because my very first P100 was going to be Wesker, but I felt like I was abandoning my main, which is nurse, so I put Wesker on hold. Eventually I went back to him because Wesker to me is very fun! Just got to find those killers you like enough to spend your bps on :D

P100 doesn't necessarily equate to skill, it just means they have a good amount of hours in the game. I myself am not a very good survivor, but I just got my Ace to P100 a few days ago! I can tell you for a fact that I can't loop killers for very long and escape trials extremely rarely but I'm still a P100 survivor lol

If you plan on using addons and offerings and items you will most likely be buying more expensive stuff, meaning the grind will take a lot longer since you need more bloodpoints. Getting to prestige 100 means you'll have a level 50 bloodweb permanently with 2 guaranteed iri nodes. Personally, I think it's not the biggest deal since you can find those addons on any bloodweb you get, but getting to prestige 100 makes it a bit more streamlined.

If you play survivor it does take longer. I primarily play killer and when Xenomorph was released, I spent the following 39 days devoting my time to getting Xeno to P100. It took me a total of 294 hours to achieve! In my Xeno video, I do have a breakdown of all my points spent and all of my time too! I practically played nothing but Blight for the entirety of it, but it gave me the information I needed for this video! :D

This is absolutely a grind that you should not do unless you have nothing else to do. I myself have gotten extremely burnt out on dbd just going for my P100's, but I still enjoy the game immensely!

The argument for that is that the devs used FOMO rewards as a talking point on why they don't want to add P100 rewards. Holiday rewards are inherently a FOMO reward practice because you have to wait until next season in order to obtain them again. I think that the P100 rewards should be unlockable upon reaching P100 at anytime upon reaching P100, not being a FOMO reward

Personally I don't agree with this. I don't use addons so I am bias, but giving killers and survivors infinite addons would be extremely problematic as you would pretty much only see the strongest builds come out. Survivors who are P100 would never see another match unless they started to quick switch to their survivor, which would most likely lead to the survivors being camped and tunnelled. Killers who have massively problematic addons would bring those because there is no reason not to. For example, Myers could always bring infinite T3, Clown bringing pinky finger, or spirit bringing cherry blossom + speed every game. It would enable really boring playstyles for every killer to play with making survivor a nightmare to play.

That's a fair way to look at it. Prestiges 3,6, and 9 all have their rewards and past that there's nothing but an icon and a flex. Maybe in the future we'll get more rewards but for now it's best to just go for the current rewards

@@TheOnlyTyM yea and tbh, some of the bloody weapons look wierd (mainly myers) but the main thing i would even prestige for is the demo’s mind flayer set. It looks too clean and i personally think demo is a fairly well rounded killer and is underappreciated by lots of people.

Getting the stuff your looking for is always a good reason for P100! Though I do have to say that P100 shaming isn't a deterrent for me, it could be for others. I do wish that we could all get along instead of being at each other's throats over stupid encounters we find ourselves involved in via the internet. It would create a more welcoming community and if we want the game to thrive, it could utilize that well!
