Early Mythbusters: So we need 2 grand worth of helium. JESUS. That's a lot of money! Late Mythbusters: So, we need a car, metal for welding, explosives, a bomb squad... it's gonna be 20 grand. Eh.. it will be fine. The budget definitely changed half-way through.

These early episodes show the reactions of people to the outlandish shopping sprees of the mythbusters. Wish they kept that in the future episodes.

Doubt it would have the same affect. Once the show became popular people became quite eager to assist and provide equipment and materials so that shock was gone.

@@Trialwolf The shopping for parts part would still be cool. It's a bit like picking the guys (especially Jamie's, let's be honest) mind to see what this crazy man could potentially come up with from supposed junk and scrap. Especially a Before-After shot would be ... golden. (sorry, had to)

@@AeonLibertas True, acquiring the items in the early episodes was fun to watch as they struggled. One episode it was almost impossible to get a pigs stomach with the intestines and such still attached, when they did finally find someone it was done unanimously to protect themselves. A few seasons later when they needed another one they could just walk into a place and get it with none of the issues they had in the past due to there celebrity status.

What a great "Adam really flies with helium balloons" myth. Don't try this at home applies here, it does. Going up, at a certain height, helium baloons will pop. They do. Air pressure drops, balloons grow larger and larger. Then they fail. Whoops. You do not want to find out yourself. Even sky divers do not like jumping from a huge knot of twisted ropes. Even Buster would not survive this. So, great that Adam did a small hop! He could have said NO.
