man i feel like all the games trying to recreate tarkov miss the most important aspect -- the primal fear of dying. In tarkov me and my buddies are like always scared that we are gonna get killed by some random scav or pmc. this feels more like ghost recon wildlands, where you just run around kill some bots and complete missions, maybe occasionally run into enemy PMCs but since this game puts more emphasis on PvE than PvP i think it will be quite boring to fight AI most of the time without the fear of attracting players.

Pretty sure this will change when the full game drops. It’s likely that there will be even more PVP. I question how many max players can populate a server.

This is not the full release, any opinions on gameplay content are irrelevant at this early stage of the game. The impressive bit is the ballistics simulation. That is the novel aspect that we should focus on.

Maybe the sound changes due to your character wearing earpros which is supposed to change the way you hear shots I don’t know if the game is that well thought through but maybe it’s worth trying without the earpros to see if there’s any change

So happy it doesnt look like tarkov in a gameplay aspect. Tarkov has reached a turning point from realism tactical shooter to a complete arcade game, just because we had no voice inside milsim and tactical shooters to ask the right questions to Nikita... Hope it doesnt happen to MFG too...

Holy shit dude we have the same PC specs. Only difference is the SSDs and i have the 2080 because for some weird reason it was cheaper at the time. Youre running games and recording that i cant get to be as smooth. Now i feel like I've done messed up my pc somewhere 😅

Recordings always look smoother even with somewhat lower frames due to it being a constant framerate for the video vs realtime framerate while playing the game.

I hope they add a low ready or store weapon function for walking around the base or something. Game looks great, i could care less about the PVP aspect, keep the hackers away. PVE can be just as fuck when the ai is a bit hard. I hope they add some like eliminate HVT missions or something.

Looks like bullet registry needs some serious work. It shouldn't take 20+ rounds from any gun in the upper body to drop one person in a realism game.

It seems a little unfair to criticise the FPS, especially when playing with "epic" settings, of such an early version of the game: it's unlikely much optimisation has been done, when there is so much development of the actual game still to do. And perhaps things have changed, but the rule-of-thumb used to be that "epic" was for screenshots and "very high" was for playing. Either way, what struck me was how "populated" the scenery was with incidental items: eg the rooms were full of furniture and debris, which adds to the (dare I say it) "immersion".

@@fairTX It doesn’t unfortunately. I watched Drewsky video and the game barely runs at 80fps (below 60fps while aiming) and he has a 4090.. A PvP game should reach 100fps @1440p with a 4080.

always good to give them some competition but anyone who thinks this is getting close to tarkov anytime soon is seriously coping. on your comment though, agreed - needs time in the oven for optimisation. 30fps or lower will kill any beta, they need atleast 50-60fps on mid-range if people are gonna stick with it.

overhyped and unplayable. I suppose your machine is not weak. And having 18 - 25 fps in fight where you are not able to aim at your target is sad simply. At least the environment looks really crisp. I had big hopes for this one but i knew somewhere in my guts its gonna have a big catch. I still hope they will do something good here.

Because there are virtually no female special forces IRL? Meeting the physical and mental requirements is crazy hard, with groups like the SEALS having close to an 80% wash out rate already.
