This makes me happy because my home country is Guatemala and I haven’t been there since I was 4😢 but I will visit back in December❤️ I will finally see my family and friends again after 11 years ago I had back when I was 4❤️

Looks like you had hilachas! One of my favourite dishes. The final dish that was darker is called Pepian and the sauce is made from pumpkin seed and chillies.

How was it? I been thinking about signing up for an exchange program to teach English in schools there. wondering if it's worth it! I wanna connect to indigenous communities there

@@txekoratsu it was amazing! Definitely an underrated country. The locals were extremely friendly. Not many people speak English so it’s helpful to know a bit of Spanish. I went with my two kids. I felt safe and locals are willing to help. I highly recommend going! You’ll love it

Overall, I would use caution. Antigua is considered a "safe" area, definately no go in Guatemala City though.

Get out of the city as quickly as possible? Big mistake! Guatemala City is absolutely amazing!!!
