anyone play or about to try out Honkai Impact?

As someone who just started, yep, UI is quite an eyesore. Also that will be probably just a me thing but when I saw events I was so overwhelmed xD, there are currently 3 events (Unless Im missing something) and each one is basically a game within a game. Also the amount of in-game currencies is pretty hard to keep track off

The game is not new player friendly, all characters need their gear now and weapon. 2800 for a 10 pull but takes weeks to months to farm up one 10 pull, rank ups are starting to become more relevant in characters which is scary. Events don’t really give u anything…. Imo if you like a good story play it just for the story… but other than that be prepared to spend an over whelming amount of money to get a character

I started playing this game last april when Pardo was the update character & from experience (which is a little off-topic) don't be afraid of missing out on update characters, they will come back eventually. Also off-topic again, Honkai's update side events can be pretty fun (even if they're boiled down modes of existing games), like one of the update events was Plants vs zombies

there's actually only 3 banners since stigmata and weapons banners are one and the same idk if that's a good thing or not but if you are lucky you might get the banner's weapon and stig at the same pull but if you are unlucky you prob need to hit pitty. the banner's set, 3 sets of stigmata, and 1 weapon and receive an UP drop and pitty every 50 pull (the UP drops will reset if you get the banner's stig or weapon). the character banner has pitty about 100 drops or less depending on the character idk if it's more lenient or not but since there's no 50-50 like in genshin you can always guaranteed to get the character you aims for (I've never hit any pitty on character but it's not unheard off) some good stigmata are also craftable so you don't have to always get all stigs if you are casual the most important one is weapon. is it F2P friendly? idk tbh if you play even casually you would get gems for 10 pulls for about every 2 to 3 weeks but since it's gacha game ofc P2W/whales would still dominate leader board lastly for an elf, you can use the free one just fine jingwey could heal which really useful in many stages and challenges ofc if you are competitive you want the best elf for your corresponding team but if you are casual there's no pressure to pull for them and you can get elf fragment in most spending event so if you are patient you can get good elf in 1 or 2 spending event (spending event counted from the amount of banner's pulled, so supply cards and gems you get from the game still counted. you can still get them even if you are F2P).

When there's a little content in game, people complain there's nothing to do. But when there's lot content in game, people complain the game is too overwhelming. PS: What a joke. Just admit it that you lazy to play all of them.

honestly i would recommend just playing for the story if you’re new. imo there’s not much point in trying to actually get good in a game like honkai in 2023. where the game is a few years old, there are a lot of og players so playing competitively is kinda pointless. There are a lot newer games to play such as genshin and honkai star rail where you have a chance to catch up, considering genshin is only two years old and honkai star rail is being released in april.

i started playing Honkai 1 month ago since i managed to get a better phone to handle heavier games (my old phone only has like 2gb of ram :v) At first i felt really overwhelmed since there's so many buttons, but i told myself take it slow and try to understand the game. For the first few days i got immediately hooked because of the rewards and story, but the longer i play, it started to feel like a chore to play it everyday. The reason I even started to play honkai is because of the story and music. Then i think to myself maybe i can just enjoy honkai as a something else rather then the playing game (like arts, fanfiction, music, story, etc). So i decided I'm not gonna play it long term but maybe casually for the story. I'm a person who can't handle feeling overwhelmed and not being able to catch up in a game. Since honkai is an older game with more features and things to catch up on, i get the feeling of 'theres so much to catch on'. I mostly watch someone explaining the honkai story since i found the story to be interesting. But overall playing honkai for a while was a nice experience but I'm not gonna play it for the long term

This dude lmao, they been giving HoT, HoR for free in the past months, not counting the good supports or most are farmable and you dont need more for Abyss and MA, if you even care about those 2 modes, and the S Ranks they give in the box are pretty decent if you build them again HoR and LE.

05:24 I'm assuming you are talking about universal mirage here which is clearly false you can't only do mirage 6 time a week that's clearly wrong unless you don't do mirage for an entire week and do it on Sunday 6 times. So universal mirage invites cap out at 6 doesn't mean you can only play it 6 times a week, in the beginning of playing you are given 6 invites ircc then every 4 am it will give you 1 invites for Mon, Tue, wed, and Thu. It gives 2 invites for Fri to Sun so in total max you can do about 16 mirage stages if you min max. It's like energy if it's cap out then it won't refill it's not limited 6 times a week only it's cap out at 6. Also you can boost your reward by using swirls tickets that boost 6 and 3 mats into a Wopphing 40 and 12 mata per round. tho it's harder to get and easily runs out if spent carelessly. You can also get materials from co op 1 daily and exchange to the material you want in mirage store tho it's use materials for exchange instead of coins or Asteriete and it's limited to about 80 or 60 for every type of materials and it's reset every version instead of daily, weeks or months. Idk how efficient it is to farm mats at Genshin because me didn't play it. but it's definitely not as bad as you said in Honkai sure it's limited and it's hard I mean that's the whole point in grinding but only able to do mirage 6 times a week was definitely false and mirage is not the only source to get mats for forging and transmuting.

Where is this 4 banners wepon come with stigmata honkai is ftp you get way more crystels is you save and lots of meta characters for free like miss pink elf, jade knight etc. In total you can get 20000 crystels per patch.This game is very ftp is you know how to save.

Hello, 500+ days player with 2 accs (f2p both) 1. Open world chapter are no more thanks to the mostly negative comments of the playerbase. Chapter 26-28 Kolosten Arc was refreshing at the time because they did it right. Ch 29-31 Elysium Everlasting arc is the complete opposite on how to do open world chapters incorrectly. The other OW game modes aside from APHO are just outdated at this point which makes them meh to play. 2. UI is overwhelming, I get it. I literally told myself on day 1 to just go one at a time. But it won't bother you in the long run as you get used to it, not the other way around of making you want to not touch the game. 3. These "hand me downs" S ranks you mentioned aren't bad. Herrscher of Thunder got a major upgrade with Seven Thunders of Retribution that literally allowed her to bruteforce so much content that in terms of meta, she was more impactful than Herrscher of Human Ego who was the herrscher of last year. You can even get her to SS just by farming. Herrscher of Reason on the other hand became powerful enough with Star of Eden that she can carry your account in unexpected weathers aside from ice weathers. Herrscher of Origin pretty much became a lot of peoples' IMG weather carry and functions so well even outside the Trio Team. Idk where the comment "hand me downs" comes from. 4. When it comes to being stingey, it's the other way around. Honkai has much more generous rewards than Genshin. Even my friends who play Genshin who has seen the anniversary rewards and spending event rewards said the same thing; better than Genshin's. 5. Farming does take time and the reason is Hoyo decided to make Ether Fuels scarce. A lot of people have been asking to make it easier for the players to acquire them. But then again if you are farming for Handel/Willows/Elysia it's definitely worth it. 6. Having more content is always a great thing. I have played games where the first 2 weeks of a patch update is fun and the rest of the update is bland. Those games aren't like Honkai. Idk if you are on Exalted but most fun and rewards are in there.

i am touching grass in GI so i thought of getting something else than burning myself out, so i did started playing HI3 recently... it's quite tough to understand but i think i will manage this time. hey, if you do have suggestions for better options, you can suggest me... some better and less cramped game will be even better. (and ofcourse less gacha)

Btw UI menu is going to be updated in a few updates. And i agree that HI3 open world is trash i mean why tf would you make this open world there is literally no reason to make it open world

I would really disagree with that f2p friendliness. We basically get all a-ranks for free. And can get like all old s-ranks easily. And as you are a whale you might not know this, but like no f2p summons on elfs. Also there are not a lot of people who rank the characters up. Most people go maximum for character and 4/4 gear. There is also no separate weapon and stigma banner they are one banner. I am f2p that summons for skinns and does not minimax at all, but I still chill in agony3 easily and sometimes RL. The rates on those banners are also just Better than other gatcha games.

I used to play it I remember I deleted the game for space and a couple weeks later I downloaded it back and tried to log in through my Facebook but it made me start a new account so I just quit the game

Update I kept playing with the keyboard and it's actually enjoyable took a few days to get use to but it's actually quite fun that way! Also you can change keybind like I use all the arrow keys for right hand for special and ult and it makes a massive difference. Fun game for free!

Thats why we disappointed about Genshin after we met HI3, especially after Graduation trip of Kiana came out I quit GI and log in twice per month for Abyss reward only (even played over 2 years with 2 team of C6) The stroy and performance with PV just far better emotional (dmg) and impressive even game came out at 6 years ago And we can feel how production team keep doing huge improvement on HI3 between each chapter, also between that 4 open world mode Growing not only happen to main characters in game but also HI3's prodution team, it is way more important for a game to be a good game in future A good long term game need passionate producers more than just popular game elements at start with expensive graphics/BGM/tons of dialogue

hor hov FR bad?, dude this game not a DPS impact, you need support like a AE/HoTr + HoS, and you need a rotasion for this game, and you can stay in dirac sea agony/RL you have SSS valk dps + fullgear, but no have support and cant use rotasi = drop score you just need a support S0 like a HoS and AE fullgear, for valk dps, just gacha signature wpn, gacha stigma if you have lot lot crystal + lv 88/end game

as someone who played back in 2018 the story is good up till himeko/bronya plot otherwise its a long reading game...imagine spending 2hrs reading and only few minutes doing combat thats a disappointment or thats how i felt going thru the plot should be conveyed through in game video instead of text reading..the stigma/weapon crafting also heavily time gated not as much as when they were introduced the first time with bounty..the more i played this game the more i feel how the past of the game were more enjoyable, simple and cluster free either from ui or valkyrie list and also crafting wise..nowadays the to do list is scattered everywhere and crafting have like 6 different option for one single stigma..back in the days you just go open world/do map challenges and enjoy the game

the strength of Hoyoverse is purely in their character design. Even genshin is arguably a shit game if you strip it if all the cool waifus and husbandos. They do try to fix this in Honkai SR a little by making the moment to moment gameplay much more engaging and cutting out a lot of the extras that we're getting real annoying in Genshin. And Honkai Inpact 3rd being pretty much their first ever big hitter, the character design is clearly what carrie's it to this day. If someone is willing to put up with resin for Zhongli, then it's no surprise that someone will be putting up with shit UI and crappy mechanics for other flashy characters. Unfortunately I can only sell my soul to gatcha so frequently, and my eyes will bleed from that UI. so I'll have to hope Honkai SR can just fill the same role good enough for both genshin and honkai impact

All I can say is I prefer PGR more ….hi3 is a good game but powerful weapon and stigmata and pets are obviously more important than actual skill and the time freeze has no actual purpose ….I think gacha for gears was what broke the camels back for me stigmatas are the equivalent of memories in PGR and we do not gacha for memories. Also people playing PGR since day one can testify that we have all the s ranks in the game because for a game that has leaderboards not having the new s ranks can be the difference btw ranking higher or lower in the leaderboard. But yeah it was fun but it was too p2w imo because the farmable stigmata’s were dogshit compared to the gacha stigmata which did not help for ranking high in leaderboards but in PGR with just the monthly pass I have all s ranks and their signature weapon and I am at the highest rank in warzone and top 10%-15% in paincage so imo PGR is better and I said imo because some hi3 simps will not read well and c I said imo and will just come after me.

Good story, but its just a meta run and dps stick. Genshin is also a dps stick with open world. HSR has a mixture of both including a spd/dps stick. But I like it, the story is so good And senti exists there
