@@alaafouda7692 if you aren’t super tall I guess get it. It is cheaper for a gaming chair. It has nice support and is overall comfortable. The only downside is the lack of movable wristrests

Thank you! If you're not looking for a standing desk, you can always opt for an Ikea countertop (Karlby is the most popular) and pair it with some Ikea legs. I use this for my main setup. You could even get the Ikea counter top and standing table legs seperately which may be cheaper than getting a standing desk on its own. All the best with your table hunt!

It should work, cos the uppspel should come disassembled and you'd be required to attach the table top. I've recently read some negative reviews of the desk legs though you might want to research other standing desk legs available in your region, unless the bundle deal is too good to pass up.

@@thejxfiles I actually just looked and ya I don’t need the bundle it’s basically the same price as selecting each of them individually , which of the ikea standing desk would you suggest ?, I might still get the uppspell it’s the only 70 inches I see

​@@alexzander7143 Look up the r/standingdesk subreddit and search for 'Uppspel' to see wha people are saying about it. Some are saying it's stable enough, others are saying it's still a little wobbly at max height, and legs like the Idasen are more stable. The Idasen however doesn't have any memory function. The commenter before you, babie*desk also shared her less than stellar experience, but it might just be an issue with her unit. If you're able to I'd highly recommend you go down to the store to try them out and not just take the word of people on the internet (including my own), nothing beats your own personal experience!

@@thejxfiles i ended up getting the cabinet. i put the glass shelves all on one side then used some of their hanger hooks to moount my consoles nicely at an angle on the open side.

I'm quoting Ikea's website under the product description -www.ikea.com/us/en/p/utespelare-gaming-desk-black-80507627/ "The metal mesh at the back of the desk allows air through that cools your PC and is so sturdy that you can even clamp a pair of monitor arms to it." So according to IKEA yes you can. And from what I've seen it looks like solid metal so I'm inclined to believe them. Hope this helps!

It's actually two rectangular metal bars, one on top of the other. The lower one is part of the main frame and larger, the upper is smaller and framing the mesh. You technically can remove the mesh part and replace it with some board, worst case.

Hey Reuben, thank you for watching! The mesh backing on the UTESPELARE is not really designed to be removable. [Edit, thanks to Allen's comment below] Though you can technically not mount it if you don't want it, you will have the extra metal bars for the underframe sticking out at the back. it's literally IKEA... if you don't want it then you dont have to mount it.

@@xShteff You're right, you can choose to not mount it. There'd be a gap with the extra metal frame from the legs at the back, but if you're ok with that or want to mount something else at the back there's room to play around with it.
