Is Infinity Train's Tulip the spiritual successor to Penny Gadget?

4 жыл бұрынA random thought that came to me one day. I tend to get very nostalgic with things that remind me of my childhood, even if they're sometimes vastly different from the thing they remind me of.
So here's a comparison that some might find strange, but in a way, Tulip from Infinity Train reminds me of Penny from Inspector Gadget, a cartoon I really liked when I was a kid.

So no one can replace Penny imo. As a kid Penny was my hero.

She was really cool in her time. What did you like about the character?

It was the 80's. Mostly just her solving cases that a grown up could not. She also show extreme loyalty to Gadget now that I am looking back at the series. She may of been vanilla, but than again it was the 80's and most cartoons were, I don't really hold that against her though.

Cool. You make some good points. I think a modern take on Penny would be great. What she would be like today if she had more personality and modern tech.

As a guy and don't look at me weird lol. But back in the 80's, other blond female hero I look up to was Megan from My Little Pony. Again, it was neat seeing her take down evil over lords and saving Dream Valley. Most of the villains she battle could beat her down easy, so she had to use her 80's wits to beat em. MLP G1 is underrated imo.

As for updated Penny, I think the 2012 series does a pretty good job in updated her, by giving her some combat skills and a rival in Talon.
