Loved this one! Very nice rundown of the various offerings from Redbreast. I have been interested in trying something from them but had no idea where to start. This gives me a great bit of knowledge to use when I go to the liquor store to pick up a bottle. Since my previous experience with Irish whiskey has just been the basic Jamesons and Bushmills, I am really looking forward to getting a bottle of Redbreast and enjoying it. Thanks for a great video!!!

For scotch intros, Balvenie 12 double wood is a moderately priced option. But the bottle I recommend to everyone is the Bunnahabhain 12. Kurt mentioned the 18 as the “scotch to impress”. It’s not peated, and has a nice toffee impression so you won’t get that turpentine scent, as people often say about Islays. It is more expensive but I promise if you already drink whiskey, you won’t regret it.

Please keep up the great reviews and by the way you have an awesome bar set up. Over time I have come to prefer Irish single pot still whiskey. Budget in mind, in my area RB 12 $70 (honey and fruiter notes) and Powers John's Lane $60 (vanilla, honey and black pepper notes) never disappoint. For what it's worth I usually have a few unsalted peanuts or walnuts before tasting a whiskey and think it helps the first sip taste better.

Kurt & Trenton, Great review of one of the best Irish whiskey's.. I have the 12-27 as well, each have that butter cookie, and cereal base. The 12 is like Christmas cake in a glass, and Cask Strength is so hard to beat. The 15, is a great after dinner dram, a very underrated pour. The 21 has peaches & guava exploding out of the glencarin. The 27 is on another level, one of the best noses ever. Lots of dark berries & jam notes. Here in Canada 🇨🇦 it sells for $700.00 plus our 12% taxes. Cheers guys, enjoy your channel from Canada. You should do an episode on Canadian Club Chronicles Series aged 41-45 years. Great episode! I would love to sample that 27 someday, but $600 is rough.

Really like y 10 year Red Breast. Current prices in Oregon for Red Breast are: 10 yr 69.95, 12 yr 99.95, 15 yr 139,95, 21 yr 399.95. The 27 yr is not available. Think I'll stick with the 10 year but the 15 is tempting. Great review.

Great show !!!! I just purchased the Red Breast 15 year on St Patrick’s Day I’ve been hearing Kurt always talk it and his favorite the 27 year unfortunately can’t afford that one lol so I went with the 15 year and it cost me in Florida $100 and I’m really blown away with it !!!!!! Thank you KURT!!!!! for the turning me on to the Breast !!!!!!!!

I love Redbreast. Cask Strength 12 year is a mainstay and I'm finishing up my bottle of the PX Edition (highly recommend it for around $100-$110). Maybe I'll splurge on 21 someday.

Would love to see a Spot whiskey review. I just got a bottle of their Green Spot Chateau Montelena, and it is one of my favorite whiskey's now.

I haven’t tried Redbreast or any of the Spots yet. Living vicariously through you on this one.
