The vegan/cruelty free mix ups have happened to me as well. It is really easy to do. Before making the transition to vegan I had no idea how many animal based ingredients were in so many products! It was so surprising. I think there are brands that do still make it difficult to find out whether they are vegan and cruelty free which means a lot of research. We still a bit of better education about the difference between cruelty free and vegan as well on products as they're not the same thing and it does add to the confusion when you're trying to figure out if it's for you or not. There are more brands getting conscious about their labelling but... I'm still gonna double check because you never know. Sometimes brands not be so truthful 🫤 Lots of love Cassandra, be kind to yourself 💜🦋

When are you guys going to realize that you do not have the moral High Ground when it comes to being vegan. Your lifestyle destroys more habitat and animal life in way more variety then people that eat meat. You do not want to believe it but it is fact! Just to grow soybeans is the most detrimental crop to the environment! They use more pesticides and Destroy way more habitat than a cow eating grass. Then the cow defecates and fertilizes the ground. And the life cycle starts all over again. But everything from grubs to worms snails squirrels Birds snakes lizards dear mice I could go on and on are impacted and killed because of the choices that you think you are making to sustain the planet. I grew up on a farm I know what it takes how to prepare a garden that was just a stain a family. I can't imagine the devastation that it would take to provide for a mass Market! Thousands and thousands and thousands of acres and woods cut chop soil turned habitat lost lives lost homes lost all for your choices! You people don't want to realize how your choices are really impacting the Earth! I say if you don't believe by what people say go research it for yourself. Become informed with the reality instead of the delusional thinking that has been pushing your choices thus far! Like I said you don't have to take my word for it Go investigate you're on your own

I only buy from Amazon if I absolutely cannot get the item anywhere else, but when I do, it’s always skincare items. It’s really important to check the seller of whatever item you’re getting, whether it’s skincare or not. That usually weeds out the scam products

Girl don’t do that to yourself. You’re right, we all make mistakes and we learn from them. Please don’t feel like it’s your fault or blame yourself for something that just happens. Gosh, why do we treat ourselves like this? You remind me of “ME”. I’m 60 and it angers me so much that I treat myself the same way. You’re so beautiful, intelligent, funny and with a huge heart. Look at it this way, you will help a lot of people with your experiment. They will be cautious the next time they buy something from Amazon. Love you butterfly 🦋 ❤. PS. I think that Solimo moisturizing cream looks more like a Cetaphil dupe for the body rather than the Cerave for the face. It's more of a body cream for dry skin. I use the Cetaphil cream for the cold winter months when my skin is dry. That's probably why people were saying it feels thick and oil-like because there isn't supposed to be ceramides in it, just good ol' fashioned body cream lotion.

I'd recommend checking reviews with the most recent first vs 'top' reviews so you can see what people are currently getting when they order. Something with great reviews in 2019 might have dropped in quality more recently and something that had issues in the past and poor reviews could have had the issues corrected in their more recent batches.

I vividly recall the day when I attempted to use a Mario Badescu product that claimed to alleviate acne pimples but instead found myself in the hospital's emergency room receiving treatment for severe inflammation caused by contact dermatitis. Ever since that incident, I developed a strong aversion towards the brand. I apologize if anyone here happens to be fond of products from that particular "skincare" line. The product is Mario Badescu- dry lotion.

Regarding your comments about the "guilt/shame" of finding out after the fact that the product wasn't vegan. Have grace for yourself. I have a wise friend who told me once..... let's say you were driving your car and backed it up into something by accident and you dented it. Usually we will beat ourselves up about it and fret about it and analyze it etc. But what if you lent your car to your best friend - and she backed it up and dented it. What would you say to her? Don't worry about it - it's just a car. You would move on and do what needs to be done to fix it etc. You would always be kinder to your friend that you are to yourself. Sometimes we need to give ourselves that same grace. It's not like you did it on purpose. I admire you for what you do. Thank you!

I have periods when I go completely vegan with my diet and products throughout the year and it is so exhausting to read every label, every package, every restaurant menu go through the full ingredients list under every dish, and look out for animal derivatives in basically everything. Even when friends and family invite me for lunch or dinner I have to ask if the food they put on the table contains animal products ( I know this is obnoxious for non-vegans). The point is we cannot know everything. We cannot stay on this high alert all the time about what we are consuming or using. Props to you for trying this hard and being careful but we all slip every once in a while because we did not pay attention or the label is in another language. It happens to everybody.

I’ve been vegan for 7 years, and it’s incredibly easy. The first year or so is challenging but once you learn what ingredients you can and can’t have - stupidly easy. Eating at new places is hard but I just eat prior to or afterwards or bring my own food if I can’t eat what’s being served

I do like the zombie pack masks when using the whole set. I havent used it in a while but would try again. I also have bought those exact cheap sheet masks. I use most of these things for relaxation not actually for the benefits. Its just a self care vibe. Guilt/shame is totally understandable for your lifestyle and what happened but the ingredients for products sold in USA should be in english so we can all understand what we are putting on our face. I'm 54 this month & me & my bestie, BeckaaAAAAAYYY 😉, used to do egg facials back in the '80's when we were kids. I don't think they were meant to help with wrinkles but to clarify the skin. We got the idea & "recipe" out of some goofy teeny bop magazine.... You know, before the internet! Anyhow, we'd separate the yolk from the white; put the yolk on our cheeks and then would beat the egg white to a "froth" and that went on our T zone. AND YES, IT LOOKED JUST LIKE THE ZOMBIE MASK. So sorry that happened to you. HUGS. 🤗

Hi Cassandra, thanks for the video! I want to remind everybody that you don't need facial sprays or masks. These products are unnecessary. All you need for basic skincare is a good cleanser, moisturizer, suitable for your skintype, to use as needed, and sunscreen. If you have oily skin, you may not need to moisturize, except possibly in cold weather, or if you're using a retinoid. And your skin's needs may change in different seasons. If you want to use products with active ingredients as treatments, or masks or whatever as self care, go for it! Just keep in mind that they aren't required. Sometimes it's hard to remember that with the large amount of advertising we see for such products.

I feel like there should be both Korean and English on these products. Like if your being sold in an English speaking country you should also have translation for everything underneath or something. I’ve seen certain products like that, they’re products are in Korean but they have the ingredients also in English.. or maybe at least a warning in English that the products may contain animal product, “common irritants, fragrance”. just because there was an egg on the front doesn’t mean you should have expected there was egg in the product.. It could have just been showing how drying it is or your skin will have a cracked appearance because that’s what the mask is marketed for..

Hey babe! I love this video! I’m only halfway in between but just want to make sure to let ya know that when you get your package you may be able to see your address. I didn’t want to zoom in or try to find it because that would be weird, but just wanted to let you know for your own safety! ❤love ya!

Hyram is still selling that YTTP cleanser that has linalool and limolene in it which would make him hate any other product. Why do you still mention him as some sort of authority?

glam up? I'm from korea use kbeauty products and have never heard of that brand.. I have never used skin1004 products before but usually if they don't say cruelty free on their promotion page, then it's usually not (to keep in mind) I have never seen that zombie pack in korea before.. but I looked into their promo page and I get its function cuz ppl used to use those stuff years ago (nowadays ppl don't use it) When you use those egg face masks, you're not suppose to talk and let it sit in, then wash it off and so important to moisturize your face well after I felt emotionally sad that you felt bad about it not being cruelty free almost called up the company to yell at them for you but I'll just inform them to up their english skills instead

At the beginning of this video the first thing that came to my mind were questions about whether we can ever trust a product's claims of being "vegan" or "cruelty free". I don't even know if those words have any true legal definition or requirements, but they are terms that will help sell a product. Good for you for looking at the actual ingredients and making your own judgement...even if it wasn't what you wanted it to be.

A lot of Korean skincare isn't vegan. Snail mucus products, egg products, and bee propolis products are all super trendy in Korea. Also, I don't think most people (vegan or not) want to know where their collagen skincare products get the collagen from. It's pretty gruesome. 😅

This is not the first time I've seen a vegan get a disproportional emotional reaction to making a minor mistake. Makes me really think the whole mentality around it is so skewed and borderline toxic...
@gen1130
@gen1130 8 ай бұрын
it's not toxic, it shows that it is important to her. of course it is disappointing when you put a lot of effort into adhering to a specific value and then make a mistake that was in your power to avoid. this reaction js just human
@morgianasartre6709
@morgianasartre6709 8 ай бұрын
@@gen1130 But it's also not a healthy mentality for you as a human considering that it doesn't really make a difference, like at all, even more so with it being just topical application and not consumption, and it not even being an animal part but just an animal byproduct in this case.
@gen1130
@gen1130 8 ай бұрын
@morgianasartre6709 It's not so much about an impact as it is about doing wrong by your own values. For example, if someone values honesty, they will likely feel guilty even for an accidental lie. It doesn't really matter how big or important the mistake is. It's about setting the bar for yourself.
