Imma go out on a limb and say the wish keeper catalysts are in the game

Hatch is the best honestly. Anything that gives extra attacks after an initial kill is always welcomed.

Hatchling with them funny little warlock boots was a fun 15 minutes. I waited until the 4th catalyst to just do one run for all of them. It's not a bad exotic, there's just better options. The dungeon bow offers hatchling as well, so there's that lol

The catalyst should have all four effects

I love running hatchling to build further into a threadling build and the suspension capability of the bow rounds out the strand kit from there

Hatchling + Rebirth is a good combo since you get 2 threadlings per kill sometimes

I'm going to hard recommend the longer duration traps. During the lake of shadows gm my teammate was able to nonstop bully the tormentor and we killed it without it ever laying a finger on us

I feel like Wish-Keeper, like many other exotics, does the thing that it is designed for very well. Using the Hatchling Refit with a proper Threadling focused Warlock build, and you can effectively always have the Snareweaver arrow prepared to go for whenever you require it. It is true that a Threadling made by the bow only gives one arrow, but if you're popping heads and constantly making those little buddies? The combination of the two will effectively provide you endless Snareweaver arrows, and I feel like the combination shines more if you lean into The Wanderer with Mindspun instead.

i see this bow strictly as a way to switch up some of the monotony of using banner of war titan, had a blast with this bow & abeyant leap in GM’s last week with the almost almost constant CC uptime, but you’re completely right in the champion control department, it’s fairly weak and could use some help (thank god for rockets 😎)

it really needed Archer’s Tempo. The archetype is so slow for its damage per shot without it, even with the multiplier from Suspending

TBF vorpal on a primary ain't the worst thing. Like for example, this week's nf. I can exhaust my entire special and heavy ammo on the boss and still have half of his first bar and like no heavy drops for the rest of the fight. It's so sluggish to chip away without any on demand damage perks. Even with polaris and radiant and ignition it's just tedious.

Liked this bow enough to make 3 copies with different catalysts for different builds. Warlock loves his threadlings, Hunter loves his vorpal, Titan is just waiting on Navigator to drop because I'd rather 1 phase the boss than suspend champs for longer, but until it does...

I love hatchling on this bow. This perk on the bow plus an artifact mod and swarmers has made it really fun for strand warlock for me. Threadlings and unravels for dayz and bow itself and wanderer aspect for the suspends

I’ve been running a warlock build using this bow with hatchling, wanderers and weavers call, threadling grenades and thread of rebirth. Exotic is swarmers. Even without the artifact, you get threadlings for precision kills, sometimes two. Your tangles can suspend enemies and generate more threadlings. Bow helps even more so with suspend. And your threadlings unravel because of the exotic. Been running the toughest GMs like Psiops and heist on LFGs, and I’m constantly the person with the highest number of kills, because the threadlings generated simply consume most red ads, and you get a decent amount of suspend even being a warlock.

As a Titan, I ran enhanced duration and Abeyant Leap with a focus on locking down Unstops and spawn groups. I could see running Hatchling as a Warlock or Hunter, since they can spec into Threadlings more easily

I just got them all yesterday and running hatchling on it on a Warlock with the suspend grenade and Swarmers really makes you feel like you’re fully specced into both Suspend and Threadlings without sacrificing anything.

hatchling plus swarmers is very funny for meep builds, and gives you decent access to suspend even with threadling grenade

The allure of hatchling is that wishkeeper is one of two bows that has it, the other being locked behind warlords ruin and rng

idea for a build (havent tested yet) verity's brow + weaver's call + mindspun invocation + shackle grenade warding (woven mail on orb) + mind (suspend kills charge rift) + evolution (better threadlings) + wisdom (suspend kills create an orb, 10 second cooldown) consume shackle > get kills with the bow or rift threadlings > aoe suspend on kill > kill suspended targets with bow(more damage to suspended targets), creates more orbs and more threadlings AND recharges your rift (thread of mind) AND your grenade (from verity's brow perk) AND charges your bow trap > restart the cycle by either consuming your shackle or deploying a trap -this alleviates the pain of strand warlock not having a ton of healing other than the rift by having rifts up constantly -using a siphon mod with thread of wisdom can easily allow you to reach a 2:1 kill:orbs ratio in most pve activities -thread of wisdom allows your threadlings to make orbs on suspended target kills

I really like using these types of exotics on a subclass that is different than the weapon - eg having devour and suspend is really nice

I went through some of these same thoughts and ended up uing Round Robin as my hatchling weapon. Paired with enhanced subsistence so you never have to reload. And if youre not using an exotic heavy you can use buried bloodline to proc devour and keep yourself alive (and give more threadling grenades). Unraveling op

Honestly I've just been using it as a hatchling weapon that gets a huge damage buff against suspended targets. I completely ignore the suspend trap part unless there's an emergency, relying only on mindspun. Kill 1 enemy and now you have a threadling that deals 50% more damage to everything that got suspended, and your bow draws a tonne faster.

Pretty much what figured. I don’t have the catys yet but I have run a hatchling build with my lock and yeah. Standard content is a wipe and higher end I got better up time but both were fun Will still grab the catys just in case but yeah

Looking forward to tomorrows reset for the first time in a while. I bought Legend of Acrius and wanted to get the catalyst but couldnt do the nightfall because i dont own the lightfall DLC which is kinda dumb because if the strike comes up in the playlist you can do it even without lightfall.

i find the first cata helpful on an abeyant leap titan esp on gms like BIRTH OF VILE, id get an easy 6 stack for new trap, and since the spawns are in certain areas, one trap can take 2 waves instead of just one.

Hatchling on this bow with Warlock threadling build is excellent. I use grapple grenade for 3 more threadlings in melee kill. It is fine in GM level content

Multi threaded snare seems like the choice for me, on paper at least because of the newer activities add density. I really don’t see myself using this over other exotic bows though :(

It definitely cooked last week for me in the dreaming city lost sector. I probably wouldn't of used it if not for needing a unstoppable bow lol. But to my surprise i finished the lost sector on legendary with no deaths in 3 mins 58 sec using that bow mostly. Got my pyrogales and got out hahaha. Cheers

I wonder if Bungie could buff the catalyst by for example replacing the Vorpal one with one that extends Suspension: This would 1) buff it’s usability outside of pairing it with a strand subclass as u have access to longer suspensions without strand 2) potentially you could have it extend ALL of your suspension effects by like 2s. This would make it be extremely valuable in any suspend build AND make suspend builds stronger over all again (maybe to contest with stuff like Banner)

Did you try with Vengeful Whisper? (bow from the dungeon which can get hatchling)

This bow is nice, then I used verglas curve… and trinity ghoul… that shit is like crack. This bow just feels slow with no huge pop off moment. Even Hierarchy has the increased rate of fire and moment to just go off. This is just a suspend option which literally NONE of the classes struggle with doing.

the dungeon bow with hatchling is equally as fun imo, and it doesnt take up an exotic slot (it and round robin were equally good)

I wonder if you could have had more fun with it if you hadn't used swarmers and mindspun, but instead went for The Wanderer. Hatchling making threadlings would allow that niche part of The Wanderer of Tangle Generation on Threadling kill come up, plus the Wanderer would give you another avenue of Suspension to trigger the perk, letting you kinda chain the headshot kills into each other. Other than giving you some free threadlings on tangle detonation, I'm not sure how much help Swarmers really gave you, seeing as the warlock melee already can supply Unravel in spades. Seeing as you were already pairing weapon and subclass, I almost feel Verity's Brow could have given you more in the end.

My only complaint with the bow is I wish we had to trigger the snare arrow instead of hip firing to trigger it. Having it ads all the time is annoying when I could just hipfire in certain instances. Otherwise it’s certainly an interesting bow.

Hatchling is the best. Synergy with strand, cam help damage and is a great bonus bit of damage. The actual trap catalysts don't seem necessary - never feel like I need more time on the trap and there aren't enough encounters to need the extra procs. I love Vorpal but Hatchling cam help you do damahr on all targets and can get ylu closer to the next trap with kills.

Hatchling actually goes hard though, every single kill creating a threadling is a huge damage boost

I think the best way to make the bow the nest it can be, with the least changes is ANY hatchling kill generates snare sacks. Whether it's from grenades, abilities etc... That said, I have been having fun with it in almost every difficulty level, which is always a good sign for a gun (though the artifact mods are definitely a major part in that).

I fell asleep doing this mission for this Bow. It went into the vault and couldn't careless if I get any of these catalysts. Same with the Glaive tbh.

I just got hatchling cuz of my "EVERYONE GETS A HATCHLING" build. And, oh boy it was worth it. Also never really use the snares. I made a built around it's looks

The titan boots allow you to not have to run these of warning with shackle grenade and the bow suspension giving woven mail It's definitely a slower playstyle then banner of war gives though

Vorpal is a dead perk for me bcs as said, its shit on primary and there are way better perks on specials and heavies, but hatchling is great, you gotta commit full build to it, but on suspend titan or swarmer warlock its great

got the bow and the catalyst just for the sake of having it/them. very underwhelming bow, and underwhelming mission too (like every "secret" exotic mission has been since outbreak and whisper).

I would sub out mindspun for the wanderer. The tangles will suspend and spawn threadlings.

I grinded out all the catalysts for this bow, just so it can be put away forever in my vault never to be used again.

Does Hatchling proc when you kill a suspended enemy with a bodyshot? It looks like Wishkeeper deals precision hit damage on suspended targets, but I couldn't see from the footage if it spawned the hatchling if it wasn't actually a headshot.

The only use I see for vorpal on a primary is when you have no ammo left for others or if you're shooting a guardian in their super in the crucible lol

7:08 It’s this reason why I don’t quite agree using this bow for a threadling build route. Using this bow just made my normal threadling build worse then it did when I just used Demo + Hatchling Rufus Fury. Even last season when I first made the build it was doing better than it is with the bow. This bow has uses don’t get me wrong, but just because hatchling is the best catalyst doesn’t mean you suddenly need to throw it in a threadling build, you’re just hurting yourself at that point imo. But each to their own!

I know of one specific reason to get all four catalysts: it's required to buy the Riven plush from the Bungie store. 😊

Personally unless they change the quests for the xtra catalysts I am not going to bother I don't use the bow often enough to make the xtra effort and trying to get a good fire team together worth it.

I used wish keeper in hypercurrent gm and it was a beast in the boss fight.

With that last build you can absolutely take over the game in gm’s, playing with people who had on meta solar builds I was frequently getting double their kills combined. It’s really fun. But it’s mostly because horde shuttle is insane (and after this season it should be toned down a bit and replace one of the meh broodweaver aspects to make it a real summoner class), I’ve been really pleasantly surprised with wishkeeper though.

The foetracer pvp build is quite brutal

every time i attempt the starcrossed mission i just get booted from the servers either starting the boss encounter or after the second one. havent even gotten the bow yet its definitely not worth putting up with the servers

Love this weapon with Hatchling and Swarmers. It's the build I'm having the most fun with right now and really does complete the Warlock Strand fantasy for me with how versatile it can be.

I was hoping the more traps would just make the trap bigger and am sad it's not cause i want to build into the gimmick it feels boring to just slap a perk i can find on any other weapon onto my exotic I could just run another hatchling weapon then. Personally i would say make the AOE trap perk make it bigger, or combine both trap perks into one catalyst and leave vorpal and hatchling there.

The problem is any higher difficulty activity with Shields this Bow is Ass Unless in Final Shape they start giving activities Strand shields this now will be a Vault weapon.

The fact the mission for the bow was tied to the story, and not a side thing killed ALL interest in the bow. Soon as i completed the mission, i vaulted it and never used it, and no intention to.

Not in my book. I already have two sources of suspend as a Hunter, why do I need another? Very, very niche bow. Not worth the trouble. Much like the Avalon catalyst.

I'm so glad I did all 4 catalyst in one go. Whoever thought it was a good idea to give shield mobs hp and resist of a champion, but without any stun mechanic, is an idiot.
