Hi sir, I will be greatful if you can give some insights on my query I am currently 26 Have about 3 years experience in mnc - technology sector (left mid 2019) Have another 1.5 years experience in family business of civil engineering (since Sept 2019) Currently continuing my masters in political science (was hesitant to do mba in these uncertain covid times) I do plan to give gmat exam next March onwards. I don't see myself going into Harvard standford insead which is basically for over achievers, however if given a choice between India's top b schools and global mba colleges like Hec,essec, warrick,manheim (which comes in top 30 ) which one should I choose ? Looking forward to hearing from you and I shall enroll in your professional guidance next year onwards

Hello, It will entirely depend on whether you're looking for an India-centric career or want to work abroad. You can certainly try for the MBA program at ISB or the executive MBA programs at IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, SP Jain, XLRI in India. The schools that you've mentioned abroad are also very good options if you wish to work abroad post your MBA. Wishing you all the best!

Hi Amit, You can try for 2-year MBA in India next year. If it doesn't work out next year, it's advisable to go for a 1-year Executive MBA in India or for a 2-year MBA abroad. The average work experience required for a 2-year MBA abroad & 1-year Executive MBA in India is 4+ years. You can always switch profiles & industries after your MBA if you are not satisfied with your current industry.

You can definitely try for regular MBA in India. For executive MBA you would typically need around 5+ years of work experience.

Thank you sir..what if I am earning bit more than median salary currently with 10 years of exp..offered at end of course. In this case inflow will be around 0 will it still worthy to consider to go ahead? How much payback time approx is estimated in this case? Please consider that I am married and having a kid in pre currently and my wife is housemaker. In this scenario it is something I should still look forward?

Hi sir, I am btech graduate passed out in 2016,I have 4+yrs of experience in HR field.Should I quit my job and for full time mba or should I do executive/distance mba. My salary is very low,which one will add more value?
@Wizako
@Wizako 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Lakshmi, a full time MBA program gives you a lot more advantages than an online or a distance MBA can. The biggest learning from an MBA program is not the academic component but the experiences that you gain on-campus and the peer network that you build through the social elements of the program. If you want to stay in India, I would recommend that you go for a one-year MBA - the executive MBA or equivalent - but as a full-time Program and not as an online or distance program. If you want to go outside India and are looking to apply to business schools in the US, Canada, Europe etc., then I would recommend their regular full-time MBA program. Either way, go full-time especially if you are looking for a significant change in post-MBA opportunities - in terms of salary and career progression.

Hello Sir, I am an architect (B.arch) having a 4 year work experience in my field. I have an interest in pursuing an EMBA and switching my career. Is it a sustainable move for me?
@Wizako
@Wizako 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, You can absolutely take up an EMBA, and switch your career. However, at your age, and with your experience, a full-time MBA might be a better prospect. Full-time MBAs often come with placement services, whereas most EMBAs do not. So, the burden of looking for jobs may be left up to you. A full-time MBA also gives you critical skills that may be useful in the industry you're looking to work in. We'd like to better understand your profile to give you something a bit more concrete and actionable. Do reach out to us at +91 93825 48484 or via email at learn@wizako.com

Dear Sir, how is the UCLA pgp pro in comparison to executive programmes from IIM. Can i contact you for guidance about this?
@Wizako
@Wizako 2 жыл бұрын
Hello Nilesh, Both, UCLA"s PGPX and IIM PGPX programmes are top-notch. However, they're intended for two different audiences - The former, primarily for people intending to work in the USA, and perhaps settle there. The latter, primarily, for Indian residents, or people wanting to work and settle in India. Of course, you can contact us at +91 93825 48484 or write to us at learn@wizako.com, and we'd be happy to help you out. Cheers!

Sir, very informative... I do have a query, i am already an MBA post which m having work ex of 11years working in reputed private bank. Is it worth joining pgpx after that, i.e., 2nd MBA? Plz
@Wizako
@Wizako 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Srivastava, After a work-ex of 11 years, would recommend joining 1 year programs, for sure. Further, it makes sense to join a program in a country you see yourself settling down in, or working for a considerable amount of time. If you're stuck in middle management, or you're just about to go into upper-middle / upper management, and you'd like to re-equip yourself with some academic insights, network with more people, etc. a 2nd MBA can be helpful. Cheers & Best WIshes!

I have a slightly different take. The short answers is correct. You can do it. I am from the MBAEx Class of 21 (Bhaskar's my senior in a sense) and I had 2 classmates who had regular 2-year MBAs but the catch is they both had 6 years of work ex. A sense that I had while I was going through the process was that for IIM B and ISB, shorter work ex works but for A and C (I got calls from both) 4.5 years is a must especially if you do not have what may be called a stellar profile. So do take this into account. 1 year programs do expect to have an experienced class where each individual comes with either a great subject matter knowledge or has had leadership opportunities. 3 years may be too short. I assume that you did not work pre Regular MBA.

Sir , I am 29yrs, having 5+ years of work ex , I have an offer this year for Pgpex from IIM-Shillong. I working currently at a package of 9-10 CTC, and average and mean Pkg of IIM-Shillong is around 17 Lpa, so should I Join the course or should I prepare for GMAT for 1 more year and will reach at age 30 and then go for an MBA . Kindly suggest sir as I am in bige dilemma and my expectations for 1st salary post MBA is atleast around 15 Lpa . Kindly suggest me looking as per my situation what should I do ?
@Wizako
@Wizako 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, It depends on a couple of things. If you're confident you can get the ROI you're looking for from the IIM Shillong PGPEX, and you're satisfied, absolutely take up the offer. If you're planning to write the GMAT, and still opt for an Indian PGPX program, you may end up where you currently are, or not far from it. At the age of 30, with 5-6 years of experience, you can write the GMAT, and get into a full-time 2 year MBA program in countries like the US, if that's something you're willing to do. The global exposure might be good for you, and you could settle in the country you go to, after your MBA. There are a few other factors we can discuss in a private conversation, if you'd like. Feel free to call us at +91 93825 48484, and we'd love to help you out.
