R' Manis Friedman VS R' Yosef Mizrachi- Is it Heretical to Say God Needs Us- Rabbi Yitzchak Botton This video answers the following Questions and more: Who is God? Where Does God Come From? Can mankind know & understand God? How God Created the World? Why God Created Us? What Does God Want from US? Does God Need Us? What does Kabbalah teach us about God? What can we give God? (i.e. what can we do for Him?) How Can We Love God? Why did God Commanded Us to do Mitzvot, Divine Commandments? If Our Mitzvot, Divine commandments are for Us or God? Does God Love Us? Why Does God Care About US? What Mankind Can Do for God? How Can Mankind Fulfil its Purpose?
The most famous rabbi on record saying that it isn't heretical to say God needs us is one of the leading sages and Kabbalist living in Jerusalem, Israel today - Rabbi Yaakov Hillel. When speaking with him about this topic, he affirmed that it is NOT heretical, but that the idea should be taught only when properly explained (that God is infinite needing and lacking nothing, God doesn't need at all in the same way humans need).
In this video based on Jewish Philosophy Kabbalah traditional Jewish sources & Jewish Mysticism, Rabbi Yitzchak Botton answers the question "Does God Need Us," and explains if it is or isn't heretical to say so.Rabbi Manis Friedman, Rabbi YY Jacobson, Rabbi Simon Jacobson, Rabbi Yosef Mizrachi, Rabbi Yaron Reuven and Rabbis of Ohr Somayach Rabbi Yitzchak Breitowitz, Rabbi David Gottlieb, and Rabbi Yitzchak Botton all weigh on in on this controversial question that have so many KZfaq rabbis talking about it. The most vocal rabbis against Rabbi Manis Friedman are Rabbi Yosef Mizrachi and Yaron Reuven have said publicly in several videos that it is heretical to say "God Needs Us." While on the other side, among the many rabbis supporting Rabbi Friedman are Rabbi Simon Jacobson, Rabbi YY Jacobson, Rabbi Yitzchak Breitowitz, Rabbi David Gottlieb, Rabbi Yitzchak Botton, Rabbi Yoni Katz and many many more. This video explains which side of this argument is correct. Please Share your thoughts on this video by R' Botton: Does GOD Need Us- Why Did HE Create US- What Can We Give Him- How Can WE Love Him?

@@divinewisdomliveabetterlif3511 He isn't distant from His creation Nor is He a puzzle to be solved. Man shouldn't claim to know what they could never know. Without a Maker there is no creation Without the creation He will still be. Therefore it is us who need Him. Only His love and mercy could explain why there was ever a need to create us. I like to think that we're as lonely as eachother & by this we need eachother. Like any good parent and child. Which is just my opinion and thoughts. I may be correct or incorrect. But only He🕊 alone could know the truth

@@divinewisdomliveabetterlif3511 The want and the need Well perhaps it's because unlike His messengers and creatures of all sorts Not having a will or desire of their own The Creator decided to make a new creature who'll think and act for himself And not be lead only by instinct like a beast And not be obedient like His messengers who only exist to serve and honor Him. Rather instead He decided to make us Moulded and sculpted in his likenesses But to live as an unruly child with a mind of his own to choose & decide for himself While like any good parent He is both strict yet loving and merciful that His children might turn away from their ways And freely and willing return home to Him His creation and His expectations for us Is the greatest act of love in all of existence Simply put He wanted to be our Father Just as He wanted to have us as children Therefore yes He needed us in that way Because it's what He chose from Himself He chose us and He wants us as His own May HaShem forgive my words🕊 You know how we like to wonder 🕎

I need HaShem because everything about my existence depends on Him--my body, soul, and sustenance depends on Him. Without Him, I don't exist. HaShem doesn't need me or us or anything in creation because before creation HaShem was the same as during and after creation. HaShem's existence doesn't depend on anything let alone a creation of His. HaShem doesn't need anything from His creation. HaShem has no need of any kind whatsoever. That is a primary principle about HaShem that makes Him unique--HaShem doesn't need anything. Everything in creation needs HaShem but HaShem has no need. We need HaShem for everything but HaShem has no need. HaShem stands alone and gives us everything. The unique praise that every unique soul gives to HaShem isn't needed by HaShem. HaShem doesn't need our praise, worship, prayer, devotion--HaShem doesn't need anything. HaShem loves us. He loves repentance and adherence to His will. HaShem loves our praise, worship, prayer, and devotion. HaShem loves His creation but doesn't need His creation. It is absolutely heretical to believe HaShem has needs. HaShem is beyond definition, beyond anything we can conceive; any definition or concept falls short of the full glory of His existence. The relationship between HaShem and His creation is 100% completely one-sided: HaShem gives us everything we need, we give Him praise and thanks. HaShem doesn't need our praise and thanks. HaShem didn't create us so that we can praise Him and thank Him. HaShem created us out of His love with absolutely NO expectation of ANYTHING in return. A billionaire anonymously gives a homeless man food and shelter. Does the billionaire need anything from the homeless man? Does he need recognition or the satisfaction of being generous? If a man, a walking dust ball that is alive for 120 years max, can love his neighbour in a one-sided way with no need whatsoever, is it possible that HaShem could also love us without needing anything in return? What separates us from HaShem is need. We have needs, HaShem has no needs. What unites us with HaShem is love. HaShem loves us, we love HaShem.

You made a lot of good points, but your conclusions are off. 1) first - it is imputo have a one sided relationship. 2) God wanting is a foundation of reality. Gods wants can also be defined as a self created need. 3) these are just 2 point. 4) But again I want to stress that you have a foot understanding, your mistake is assuming you know more than the teachers. All the best

"we love HaShem." -- HOW DO WE LOVE GOD? "HaShem loves us" HOW DOES HE LOVE "The unique praise that every unique soul gives to HaShem isn't needed by HaShem. HaShem doesn't need our praise, worship, prayer, devotion--HaShem doesn't need anything." THAN WHY DO WE DO IT? WHY IS IT CALLED SERVICE OF GOD - AVODAT HASHEM? IF THE SERVICE IS NOT NEEDED - THEN IT ISN'T TRUE SERVICE. Why would God waste our time? Is there any sense in moving logs from one place to another - then to move them back to where they were? If you would just watch the video - you'd have the answers to all these questions

I really don’t understand this debate. The answer is extremely simple. Hashem is perfect, whole and complete in and of himself. He lacks nothing and is not dependent on anything, including any of his creations. Thus, this supreme being does not NEED anything as there is no lack whatsoever. However, this being has a “will” and he “wants” a relationship with all of his human creations. He wants our good deeds and to make this earthly realm a heavenly place. That’s all!

Because of sin, people should fear LORD, it's about Ten Commandments and justice. Because of the grace of LORD, people should understand LORD love us before LORD created world, it's about physic-chemical laws.

@@exnihilista3850 The definition of God from physics and chemistry: God is the being who created universe and everything, so we have space and time and freewill. Descartes believes that God created elementary particles and souls; Newton believes that God created universal gravity; Joule believes that universe created by God is a single closed system with constant energy; Maxwell believes that God determined the laws of physics. Therefore Genesis must be the first chapter of Bible, followed by Ten Commandments.

@user-dv5sn2xv2y
@user-dv5sn2xv2y Ай бұрын
@@exnihilista3850 The scientific conclusion is that God created universe and all things and determined the physical and chemical laws of universe. According to these laws, these laws are not determined by universe; the moral conclusion is that God gave us Ten Commandments, which are moral laws. God chose Abraham and Israel that is not to give privileges to Israel or to rabbis, but to teach us to confess our sin, just like the sin of Israel people in thousands of years. Therefore, people in Israel and Arab should be with us to obey Ten commandment, people in world are under LORD.

If Torah is being made difficult for the general congregation to understand, then it is most probable that the teaching is false, which = wrong, which = heresy.

I usually try to be nice in responding to comments - But since you keep on commenting with ridiculous statements as if you know something here goes: Torah IS difficult to learn and properly understand - that the way it was made, and the Sages imply this in many places. So although in today’s say what you want to say gives you the right to do so (this is not the Jewish way) It doesn’t make it so. The try to is you’ve shown yourself to be ignorant of the necessary information to have an opinion - my advice to you is to only comment what you’re repeating from scholarly people that are qualified to comment on the subject

@@divinewisdomliveabetterlif3511 I understand the Torah goes very deep of course, but today's general congregation do not learn and you seem to want to take advantage of this by not getting out the important issues that will help save the congregation of Israel. You're behaving as bad shepherds. It's true I am fairly new to the Torah, but HaShem helps me. Stop wasting time showing off and teach the Torah of old. Please!

@@lesaheliorahavramsonkarapo4211 thank you for responding. You make a good point - and we should try to give the students what they want but also what we think they need. The truth is that this topic isn't necessary on its own - but because there are other rabbis that are explaining this idea wrong - I decided to put out a few videos on this topic - but you are right it is on the advanced side. If you are still interested in this channel - please look at some of the other videos I hope they will be more to your liking. all the best
