yumm everything looks so good. As a Canadian, I don't think I've ever had grits! It looks good! Also, now I really need to try an NY bagel. Crispiness on the outside sounds amazing. Places here just toast the bagel and that's about it!

Neon Tiger is amazing it’s in Charleston fully vegan! Basic kitchen is also amazing they have non vegan options too but the vegan food in unreal!!

I've lived outside of NYC for a long time. When it comes to bagels, it's like going vegan and trying to enjoy faux meats. It helps to adjust your expectations.

My parents were from Mississippi, so I grew up eating grits for breakfast. They are great with a little butter, and salt and pepper. You can of course use vegan butter.

Off Track ice cream has really good vegan options and baked goods!! They make everything fresh there

Glad to hear about the lack of faux meats. I'm hearing more about how they are just unhealthy, being packed with lots of chemical food additives and super highly processed, blah. I'm putting them on my "eat very sparingly" list and will stick with closer to the farm foods. I rent a beach house close to Charleston every summer and will try to get into town to hit the Gnome, or Neon Tiger or Basic Kitchen (thanks Madison) and Off Track (thanks Sam). My problem is when I get on the beach I want to stay near the water and away from town!
