Asia was probably the first "Super Group" of the 80's. MTV favorites. Lead singer, John Wheaton, formed the Band in 1981. Or so. He took Carl Palmer(drummer from Emerson Lake and Palmer) A progrock band in the 70's. Steve Howe and Geoff Downs from (Yes). All, very talented in their own right. Do more of their library. Highly recommend "Don't Cry" good listen. guys mainly, I listen because you give props to 80's icons of Rock! Night Ranger. "Don't Tell me you love me" Wikipedia them. Talented group.

Crap, you chose the video edit. They chopped up the song to shorten it. The debut album songs, that were big hits, were Heat of the Moment, Only Time Will Tell and Sole Survivor. The most proggy song on the album is Time and Again. Asia's second album Alpha had one major hit in Don't Cry. That one seems to be the forgotten hit that everyone goes on to love. The problem with the Alpha album is they went with the Phil Spector wall of sound. It really drowns John's bass lines, which on Don't Cry are really good. It also only brings Carl and Steve's playing out and then puts them back in the background.

The early day of MTV they experimented a LOT with videos. There was no rhyme or reason to some of them. In a world of multi-monitors, this was ahead of it's time. I would suggest if you do any reviews of artists in the early 80's use the LP cuts and don't do the videos. The songs all get chopped, for the most part.
