I was literally thinking about you as I was playing the game. I discovered the gliding move while using the Dragon Fire Copy Ability and thought "Wow, that would be a great jump replacement." But then I remembered you have to jump to activate it.

I have something to say about rocking and rolling Road: there is a secret HAL room hidden within the ending! Climb up to the top of the tree without destroying the hard blocks with the car, shoot the top target with Ranger, and a dodge way up to the HAL room, which grant you access to hammer, ice, needle, among one more.

Maybe if you and sample combine your knowledge... you can do this with truly no jumps

Fun tip: You can actually control where the second jump in Kirby's dodge goes by inputting a different direction mid-dodge. So for 17:40 where Kirby's second jump can screw you over, you can simply just run it into the wall and essentially cancel it out.

Getting out of the boat may not count as a jump. There is a prompt that says towards land when you get close to land, so you might be able to classify it as not a jump.

I know I’m late for the party but I actually attempted the same challenge before watching this video and got 8 jumps. Although I didn’t get the same results it’s interesting to see what different strategies we used for the same problems. Mainly in the tutorial I used a meta knight amiibo to get a speed boost item for the jump as I didn’t know it could be done without it. In 4-3 although I tried for a long time I never managed to get the ring out of the pit without jumping, but I did actually manage to do the ending section with drill as you can do the aerial boost anytime you are airborne not just when you get out of the ground. In 6-2 I didn’t skip the boat as I didn’t try with dragon fire as I missed it previously and didn’t think it would help, but I did find that with perfect timing you can skip the boat ride with tornado, the problem is that you can’t get tornado over there. In 6-4 I didn’t save any jumps but I did find out you can get past the first jump before sillydilo without speed boost. And 6-5 I managed to exit the boat room with the meta knight sword. On the right side of the room there is metal plank which is slightly higher than the ground, from there I used a speed boost item and with a perfect upward slash timing I got up the ledge. Moonlight canyon was a pain but oh so satisfying to complete

You can space out Meta Knight Sword's Upper Calibers to get even more distance. It is pretty hard though

1st jump: bomb + dragon fire. Bring bomb in, blow up the wall, and then inhale and absorb one of the fireballs that the enemies spit out to get dragon fire. After that, spam dragon fire to get to the end. 2nd jump: jump boost should augment upward slash enough to get you up. 3rd-5th jump: idk 6th jump: it isn’t a jump as it is an interactive cutscene (I like data mining :P)

Apparently you can do a glitch with hammer that although takes jumps to do, the height it gives you could easily shave a few off in sections that are height based

When you leave the boat, it's technically not a jump. The game says toward boat and not jump. So its not really a jump.

The giant sword guard is completely invincible. Unless you are in lava. it’s crazy the attacks that you are immune to

I have an idea for a stupid and somewhat silly challenge: basically, try to beat this game like any 2d Kirby game (so up and down on the control stick are banned). When I tried it i somehow managed to get to the lava levels but then I gave up due to it being slow

I honestly didn't find out Kirby could dodge into bullet time till the Dedede first fight. Emphasis on bullet given the space shooter is the best weapon in the game. I found out Kirby could dodge during the Meta Knight fight, but never clashed with him.

Jump 1-I feel like some clip would have to be discovered to avoid that boat, I have no idea otherwise. Jump 2-God so close, I have a feeling that puff can be avoided, and unfortunately the invisible walls are going to make this difficult, but I feel like playing around with the geometry should grant a spot that give us slightly more hight to reach that wall. This one seems the most possible to shave off. Jumps 3-5-Maybe if we find a way to get out of bounds, we could skip that damn pipe. Jump 6-I have no idea, some insane ACE is going to be needed to skip that quick time event.

it's interesting watching this and sample's video back to back, especially with the juxtaposition between your video going through every obstacle in depth and sample's "i made it to world 3 already. everything else was easy." i don't think either video is better or worse but they largely serve as a comparison to see how different people went about the same obstacles.

I pre-ordered it but i only completed one world a day, if that, so technically it took a while, but at the same time, it was so easy to 100% and i am kinda sad that i did it so fast.
