My daughter, who is also 16 and just completed 10th grade, has been using TGTB language arts and Dive Science and Math from 6th-7th grade forward, made a 30 on her ACT in April! A 30! Yes, TGTB is enough! English score 31 Reading score 34

@@GraceandGrit Same! This was my first year with this curriculum, we have loved it! I have homeschooled from the beginning, but I always made my curriculum. I was getting overwhelmed currating my own and needed an open amd go well rounded curriculum! My babies are/were in kinder and 1st, so I used pre-k, kinder prep and the kinder level for my soon to be 1st grader. She is 1/4 of the way into the Kinder level going into first grade! My 1st grader (now second grader) did the level 1 this year and will be using all level 2 LA. My children are reading so well and writing! We use the LA, writing and now for this next school year I will be incorporating the little hearts science! Your message is very encouraging I know my babies are getting an amazing education with God, myself/husband and TGTB! Knowing you have gone the distance ensures me I am giving my kids enough! I don't like changing curriculum either so Lord willing we will be using their LA through highschool! :) While also completing their writing curriculum and sciences. We did do mammals this year and it was great!! Thanks for your encouragement GOD BLESS, He is Good! 🙏🏾 and congrats to your daughter and her achievements! 😊

Love hearing what you would use for littles even though your kids are out of those stages! It is so helpful to hear from an experienced homeschool mom that truly cares so deeply and takes homeschooling seriously! I know everyone's opinions on curriculum are different, but I know if it's something you'd choose or recommend, it's always worth looking into and a great place to start (and stop lol)!

So nice hearing your daughters story! Our oldest is in kindergarten this year and we just had our first day of homeschool this week. He is a few lessons into TGTB math and language arts and LOVES them. We had already completed the preschool and kindergarten prep and he really is so far ahead of where other "kindergarten" age kids are. All a credit to TGTB!! Cant wait to pick up the new pet pals book set and Wind and Waves! 😊❤

This was so encouraging to hear!!! My daughter has used TGTB since 5th grade and she is also going to be a junior! I just knew that it was too good to not continue or even try something else. We’ve loved it and I’ve always felt it was advanced enough to give a good challenge but it wasn’t so overwhelming to where it was drudgery so this update from you is so exciting! So happy for your daughter and good job, Mama! My soon-to-be junior daughter is also my first that I will graduate so we’re in this together!!! 💕 💕💕

You have encouraged me so much. I needed to hear this today. I’m always so overwhelmed with all the choices and always worry which one one should I choose. You have encouraged me to stick with TGTB without worry. Maybe I will have freedom this year without fear and worry hovering over me. Love this. Love hearing how prepared your daughter was for the collage test. Thats awesome. Ive kinda added other curriculuums to our homeschool the past two years and its not working so we are going 100% back to the Good and the Beautiful!

My daughter loves TGTB as well! I tried switching her math this year but I just ordered their math so we can switch back….she had been asking to switch back a few months ago and I should have just switched back sooner! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you for sharing! What an encouragement to hear for my teens. On another note, we received our Winds and Waves this week for my littles and cannot wait to start! We thoroughly enjoyed the first science unit last school year, and it quickly became our favorite subject! It is so well done, as to be expected! 🎉

Loved hearing about your daughters success!! When she did 8th grade book studies - what did you do when she was finished with those and the school year was not finished yet? I have a 7th grader and we are starting TGATB this school year and I’m just thinking ahead!

My son just completed 3rd grade in public school and we made the decision to homeschool him starting 4th grade! We did the placement test and he is going to start in level 3. We started this week and he really likes it! I already see a confidence booster in his reading and the lessons are engaging and interesting!! What about math????

I have heard from another channel (can't remember which) but her daughter also said that the TGATB prepared her for freshman Eng 101. Eta: I can't buy anymore curriculum right now! I'm becoming a hoarder. My love for books makes it really hard to for me to part with text books... I will have to order the 2nd grade math manipulative though... lol

What did you do for upper grades for Math? My daughter is entering 7th grade and there is no math for her level

What about Wordly Wise for vocab? Do you feel at this point, with hindsight, that the extra vocabulary practice was helpful? I recall what you recently addressed regarding the upper levels. Discerning whether that would be valuable to add in for the younger ages still.

No, I actually never used it because I thought we needed it. I just used it for the extra 15 min of independent work they could complete on their own. So If you want additional review then sure. Otherwise not necessary at all.
