Indonesian railways recently adopting the newest technology that requires only passenger's face in boarding proccess instead of manual checking with id or passport. Something that most major airline's system haven't had just yet. Fyi, this face recognition technology available only for locals so far, not foreign passengers.

Indonesian Railways state own company PT KAI, adopted the airport system for passanger. Not even single passanger or people allowed entering to the platform without boarding pass except the officer. Free from hawkers and snatcher on the coaches or along the route. The security on board always going around patrolling on the carriage. All the train from the lowest class to the most expensive with AC. The newest system launched was Face recognition system, the local passanger boarding without showing the boarding pass, it's to reduce the queue line.
