She is entirely correct. The west has done this to many nations, including those on the continents of Asia, Africa, and South America. It is terrible that so much suffering has occurred in these nations. Many people, including myself and my family, migrate to the west in search of a better life, as a result of the allure of the west's glitz and splendor; however, the west is also characterized by a strong slave mentality. There's the 1% of the wealthy, and the rest of us slaves who work day and night to pay our bills. A large percent of our income is taxed to support infrastructure at home but we're also funding wars abroad. It's really sick what's happening. There is enough food to go around. No child should be dying because he or she has no food, especially if their country is being raped of their natural resources.

Steve you have done an excellent interview of our African Queen. You really set the scenario for her response in an African point view. France has been part of all French colonies underdevelopment and destabilization of North East of Nigeria by funding and arming boko haram all in a bid to continue exploiting Africa. If Africa wants to develop it must surrender to France. The military take over is not by itself the solution to the problem if they also will pursue the same agenda as the civilian governments romancing with France while they loot Africa. The military must seek for knowledge to govern with patriotism and decency to improve the quality of life of their citizens. To achieve that, the military leaders must collaborate with civilian professionals in each and every field to design policies and programs supported by well laid out financial management of their respective nation’s economies. Anything bereft that is just a waste of energy. Corruption is the main sickness of most or almost all African leaders and their cronies. If a lid is not placed on corruption the emancipation of Africa and it’s people will be very difficult. It’s not lack of resources or sources of revenue in Africa but the cheer scale of corruption perpetrated by its leaders and their cronies is the cause of their underdevelopment. This corruption is not only peculiar to former French colonies but it applied to all the remaining African countries. Unless leaders in Africa change their attitude towards greed /corruption and instill financial discipline and decorum, what is currently happening in the former French colonies will definitely happen to them and the citizens will support and rejoice their overthrow. Therefore, it’s high time everyone African leader should readjust themselves to work and improved the quality of life of their respective citizens. The unfortunate thing is that the corruption of politicians doesn’t know bounds and shame. In addition to looting the national treasury, they fill every space available for employment with their relatives and that of their wives leaving the children of the poor masses unemployed. This singular act will definitely breed resentment and add fuel to what encourages revolution among the people. It’s appropriate to take caution and listen to voices of reason and start sitting up serve their country with passion and patriotism.

I knew the pilfering of African resources was a big issue but never really had numbers to put into perspective. 80 cents per kilo of uranium when other places internationally are selling at 200 Euros???? Unbelievable. Thank you for sharing this story, all the best to Africa in their fight for liberation from the west!

Talk about highway robbery. There should be there should not be a single poor child in the continent of Africa. I mean who is making these horrible deals with the West. 50s western countries like France US yo pay reparations that start slapping a premium a huge premium on any resources that they need. Get your reparations one way or the other

This is the message Dr. Quao planted as an ambassador and caused her that position. But now, the message has resonated with Africans and bearing fruits. She has succeeded in bringing the Revolution that's badly needed in Africa. This is just the beginning

Dr. Quao stood up for what she believed and it cost her the position. Now did this Anarak do the same? Because it's only now that she is making noise. I SALUTE the former. China has Africa dancing to its tune. We are not illiterate to the doings of China

We need more leaders to speak and stand up for Africa like Dr. Arikana. African leaders must realize that if ordinary Africans do not benefit from our natural resources, the leaders do not deserve to be in power. Divided we fall, United we thrive and conquer.

Thank you for creating this forum which allows the world to hear Africa speak for itself. The time is long overdue for grass- roots Africans to wake up and take initiative and responsibility for their own well-being. They must etch- out a place of respect and power in the world's marketplace. As Dr. Martin King once said, " the only way for one to ride your back is for you to be bent over..." Rise up fellow Africans ! "Stand in the dignity of your God given manhood." With strong hands, take hold of life, and with God's guidance and aid, cast off the exploiting parasites. Create for yourselves and your posterity a future we all can be proud of. Then you will hear the world applaud your success.
