You can lie without cheating. My ex and I broke up because he lied about being deployed and being "blown up". I found out just bringing it up in a conversation to someone who is in his platoon. He told me the truth that he never has been deployed nor has he been "blown up" and have metal in him.

How many men have you heard say “I love my wife but I’m not in love with her anymore that’s why I cheated on her but I could never leave her because I love her” 90% of married men that cheat on their wife will say something along those lines. They still love their wives and would rather die then lose them but at the same time they’re still men and their sex drives take over so they cheat (usually their wives have stopped taking care of themselves and/or refuse to have sex with their husbands anymore and are all about the children) so the men cheat out of desperation. When men are IN LOVE with their woman they could never cheat, but you can LOVE and not want to divorce but still cheat.

Yup, maybe it's a mistake only if, for eg., you had a big fight/something is seriously wrong at the moment w/ the relationship, maybe your thinking is impaired as well and you find yourself with someone else that is all over you and you just go w/ it...a perfect storm of events, a one time thing that you regret once you have a clear head. Long-term cheating or multiple-partner cheating is as you said, too much work to be deemed a mistake.

Absolutely agree! Also even the act of having sex requires finding a location, foreplay, putting on a condom etc. Makes no sense, that’s more than enough time to stop yourself. It’s not a mistake it’s a wilful act

Mary Contrary I agree. For me the initial act of cheating is more hurtful. Once you lie about doing it, that doesn't change the fact that you did it. There is no doubly wrong for me. And when you speak your vows in front of God and all your family you vowed "to love to honor to cherish till death do you part" and the death doesn't always mean that you become a widow/widower, it can be the death of a marriage in different categories. For there is death in the communication of the relationship, the death of trust, infidelity in the marriage where the said partner basically building the second relationship, and lastly the death of affection physically, spiritually, verbally, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.

We are also both home bodies and spend almost all of our free time together lol. He turns his eyes away if a Victoria Secret commercial comes on because he thinks looking at a woman in her underwear is being disrespectful to me. When a man cheats, you will see the change in his routines and schedules. There will be signs. Women are too intuitive not to know. I think some women turn a blind eye to it, but my husband knows if he were ever to cheat on me he would never have sex with anyone ever again once I was through with him lol.

Whats worse is women are better at covering it up and there are many men who are currently fathering children that dont belong to them. At least a woman knows that her child is definitely her child.

Yes! My husband and I are completely baffled by cheaters. Even setting aside how cruel and disrespectful it is. It's soooo much work! Who has that kind of time and energy??? It sounds absolutely exhausting lol. I'd rather take that time and work on my own relationship.

Jasmyne Wells I wouldn't call it self-destructive. There are some people who cheat to learn more about themselves. It can be a form of exploration and self-examination that either reinforces the bond of the relationship, or ends it. The person getting cheated on is the one who gets hurt.

SParkApCider I see it but, I believe women are similar in that regard. It seems like us men have to falsify confidence when a women can't find it in herself. I.e. Does this dress make me look fat? Lets say I don't like the dress and I tell her politely that I don't like how it looks, she's likely gonna feel some type of way. Another small pet peeve is when the trust isn't all the way there and you can feel it. Asking to go through my phone, Calling me 5 times in a row and theres no emergency. These are extremes but, sometimes things are made out of nothing.
