I hate when the media wants to punish a player for having a good team around him. They’re basically saying Hurts has too much around him to be the MVP. It is a team sport if that’s the case there shouldn’t be a MVP award at all. But when Mahomes did win MVP he had Tyreek & Kelce. I’ll never understand it.

Crazy part is he’s only 24 and on a rookie contract. If the eagles capitalize on all their draft picks they could be a force for years to come.

The best part about Hurts having the season he's having is the fact that he was the lone question mark coming into the season by media and fans. Also the fact that he's throwing the ball as well as he is has also debunked those stupid a*s theories of he can only run. After this week I got Hurts as the favorite for MVP. 20 TD’s to just 3 INTS throwing 68% completion percentage and on pace for over 1,000 yards rushing. He is doing what Cam Newton did in 2015 and Lamar did in 2019 but as a more efficient passer. This is coming from a Cowboys fan.

The narrative that Mahomes is doing more with less is shockingly ill-informed. The truth is the complete opposite. I frequently argue he has the most stacked offense in NFL history. I strongly believe what Mahomes did in 2018-2020 with Tyreek was MORE difficult and impressive than what he is doing this year. He may not have as strong of a #1 WR now, but the unrivaled DEPTH that he has now makes the offense more deadly. He has MORE weapons and a stronger offensive line, better scheme now. He has the greatest head coach in NFL history, certainly the greatest playcaller. Juju is one of the most underrated WRs in the NFL, is top 10 in YAC, and Mahomes is #1 in the NFL in YAC. Kelce has a good argument for GOAT TE. The Chiefs O-line leads the league in pass block win rate and is top 5 in run block win rate. They have about 9 receivers and RBs who all run 4.4 or better to fit a ridiculous YAC scheme that makes Mahomes' job easy enough that a competent backup would look like a top 10 QB (Mecole/Pacheco/Skyy/CEH/Toney/McKenzie/Watson/MVS/Ronald Jones). Juju isn't even one of the one's I listed since he runs 4.54, and yet he's their most effective YAC receiver...more of a big possession receiver.

They can only be answered in the playoffs....the difference between a truly great QB and a QB who is only great in flashes. - Can he come from behind to beat a great team in the playoffs? - Can he excel as a pocket passer against teams with stout run defenses who can force you into uncomfortable downs and distances? (This comes into play against teams such as the 49ers, Bucs, and Cowboys. It's likely that Hurts will face 2 out of 3 of these teams in a path to the Super Bowl.) Only time will tell. Excited to see what he does in the playoffs.
