Is Jason Wright's Time In Washington Coming to an End?

Commanders President Jason Wright was a finalist for the Green Bay Packers CEO position, which is the most unique in the NFL. However would Wright have been interviewing for it if he just signed a contract extension?
Wright's contract is thought to be expiring in August, so does this mean his time in Washington is coming to an end, and if so, is that a smart move by Josh Harris?

Seems like a lot of people don’t like Jason Wright because he was a Snyder hire. People speculate what he has and has not done but can anyone provide facts that any of the losses were him and Dan Snyder? Was he supposed to overrule the owner? I’m still confused why so many people have a bad opinion of him considering they can’t identify any thing he has done wrong.

I’ve wondered quite often in the past year about Mr. Write’s tenure with the franchise. My recent thoughts have been, “well, the new regime must believe that Snyder is to blame for the numerous blunders, the name being number one.”, since he still has a job. I’m guessing at this point I was wrong.

Good riddance. You might not give him blame for the brand change but cmon, he oversaw it and so many things didn’t make sense between the rollout, messaging, etc. Dan had his demands but Jason had plenty of power to prevent a total disaster at least.

I’ve met Jason multiple times at season ticket holder events and he is as genuine as they come. Never ducks hard questions and also doesn’t bs you. He is a huge asset to the organization. Last season could have been significantly more chaotic but he steered the ship to the final destination. Blaming him for decisions that Dan and Tanya made is unfair. Let’s face it, the new name was always going to be hated if Dan was involved.

With Dan Snyder owning the team and Ron Rivera making the personnel moves…how much blame can you really give the dude? Adam Peters absolutely thought he was an asset enough to keep. This reminds me of our all star lineup of coaches in 2013. We thought they sucked and they went other places and shined . I hope he does get a promotion but I’m sure that if he was as bad as fans thinks, he would have been replaced.

Re-emphasizing a post by another commenter...those trashing Jason Wright PLEASE give us even one piece of evidence that he was the problem and not Snyder...as if Wright truly had any power while Snyder was there, come on y'all

The seal fiasco. He went on the radio even after the fan outcry. And tried to say "no no no those are the dates" when we all knew it was bs. Team quietly corrected
