@@jadenrobert2447 I know this much. The Jous (pharisees) was so worried some1(Mary&Mary) was gonna steal the body & then go, hide it from em. Real funny. Then they went to great lengths, to ensure, this didn't happen, bc Jesus repeatedly said, in 3 days he would rise from the dead. So they placed a centurion guard & rolled a huge stone, infront of the tomb opening. Then 3 days later, the pharisees was yelling about, how the believers of Jesus, had stolen the body. Which was, 2 women. But what they really was saying, is that the tomb, was empty, & that's it, in a nutshell, bc the tomb was empty just as the pharisees had proclaimed.

@Psalm I'm pretty skeptical, and am unconvinced that any religion is true. However, I also consider myself to be open minded, and I do care about whether or not my beliefs are true. I'd rather believe the truth than a comforting lie. What would you consider to be compelling evidence that the claims of the Bible are true?

Only that, as far as celebrities go, it is far more rare(using the term "rare" relatively) for Jews or Muslims to be mocked, the Jewish and Muslim religions are more respected by these celebrities than Christianity. Not that it actually matters. No one should be trying to play these 'oppressed Olympics' simply because being mocked more or less doesn't change what is or isn't true.

We choose to have Faith just let us be . According to our faith we can't even condemn you only God can if He chose . Psychologically I believe that it's the concept of God alone that is too much for many to fathom especially so much Earthly turmoil . Regardless of all of that we still have faith . @@Felix-M. all facts. In addition though, some are holding out for scientific proof. I always remind them that science is applicable only for a limited range of things, all of which must necessarily be natural and therefore precludes God and all things supernatural. They don't like hearing that and always ignore it. I also challenge them to scientifically account for logic, love and existence itself, just to make them stew in the defeat of their own position and realise how truly limited science is (and is supposed to be), which means they should have never based their entire lives on the fruits of such a limited endeavour to begin with.

Just imagine for a second here: 20 guys out there pretending to be Jesus. Con artists , the lot of them. And they are performing "miracles". To fool the peasantry. A couple days or weeks later a couple of the peasants meet each other and telling each other of "Jesus" and his "miracles". Are they talking about the same guy? Are there really 20 con artists? Oder maybe 21? or maybe 19? or maybe just 1. Point is, you can't believe any one of the people calling themselves "Jesus".

There were actually WAY more than 20 people claiming to be Jesus. Because "Jesus" was actually a normal name at the time it was "Joshua" or "Jeshua" or some other variation. There were also many people who claimed Messianic power / role. A messiah for them was someone who would deliver them from the governmental tyrrany. Jesus of the Christians was the only one as pointed out by Whaddo You Meme who ignored the government and instead focused on bringing people back to the Scripture and to God. And also the only one who has a literally empty tomb.

For proof, I’d rely on writers of the day (including some who were even against the Christians of the day which lends credibility) as well as (secondarily) the ripple effect of influence that spread too quickly to be an entirely falsified story. There are other reasons too, but those two should make my point sufficiently.

People who claim that the story of Jesus of Nazareth is pure fiction aren't really thinking it through. As a writer, no part of this story makes sense as something people wrote for fictional/mythological purposes in an age where people thought the Roman emperor was a god in mortal form. Imagine a group of guys getting together to write a story about a Messiah. "Alright, we're going to write a story about the Son of God, and it's going to start a whole new religion." "Ah, so, he's going to be a Greek like us, right?" "No! He's going to be a Jew, making him a member of one of the most hated people groups in the world!" "Ok... so he's going to be a prince or something like that?" "No! He was born in a barn, and only a handful of people even knew he had come." "Odd... alright, so he used his amazing powers as the Son of God to slay monsters, conquer his enemies, and battle the forces of evil, right?" "Eff no! He taught about love and compassion, peace and forgiveness, and only used his powers to do things like heal people or walk on water." "Well, surely he amassed a lot of wealth, right?" "No! He lived his life poor and destitute, with no place to lay his head." "Jeez... So, he got married to a beautiful woman and had a bunch of kids, right?" "No! He was celibate all his life." "Dang... Ok, so he at least lived a long and happy life, right?" "No! When he was only 33 the Romans executed him for treason in the most painful way they could think of." "Well, shoot, that doesn't sound like a great story at all. The hero dies at the end? How is anyone going to feel that this man's life is worth emulating?" "I forgot the best part." "What's that?" "He came back to life three days after he died!" "Really? Awesome! And then he went out to get revenge and conquer the world, right?" "..." "He got his revenge, right?" "..." "RIGHT???" "Actually, no, he forgave those who betrayed him, said a few more things about peace and love, and then ascended to Heaven with the promise that he'd come back some day." "This story sucks! Also, I think the "walk on water" miracles also has a deeper meaning than random show of power, *which I hope to find out.* (maybe Exodus parting of the sea, and Jesus has power over the waters or something the same as the OT?) If I got my hands on a time machine I would go back and see Jesus when He was a man on earth. To hear His voice and watch Him interact with the children. To see Him treat EVERYONE the same, regardless of gender or age. Wealthy or poor. It's mankind that divides and separates us and I feel sorry for those who don't believe because that has to be hard, thinking no one can or will love them unconditionally. No one can convince me He isn't real.

The Trinity is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It's all through the Bible. Jesus Christ, Yoseph, is the Son and God, Yahweh, is the Father and the Holy Spirit is God's being covering us in his Holy blood and helping us understand God's Word.

@@bob-pr8ye I have that’s why I said for over a decade, I grew up going to summer church and getting taught about the lord, and not once have I heard anything even when I sat in my bed for hours begging for a answer and that has happened to tons of people who fully believed in god. I respect other people’s beliefs but it seems like after I stopped believing all Christians have different facts about god and not consistent at all. Almost feels like brainwashing

@@jesuschris6084 We don't deny he existed we just admit there is no evidence that he existed. We certainly don't believe any of your stories about miracles, supernaturality, etc and *none* of those are in the historical record. The only supposed mention of your god ever existing in the record is the name of an executed prisoner who didn't even have close to the same name. That's truthfully the only source in history that you can point to and it's extremely flimsy. We don't bother debating whether Jesus was real because there is no evidence to debate and it wouldn't matter anyway. Christians think their religious claims are solid and based in history. The reality is that historians and scientists admit there is no evidence at all for the supernatural claims of your religion or any other religion. Let me know which source you think has the evidence that Jesus was real. Dawkins can presume that Jesus did live and 100% of atheists and non-christians do not believe any man who was a god ever existed. So the Jesus you claim existed, definitely did not exist. A man with his name might have existed but you have a completely fictional tale of his life. Sorry to inform you! It must be hard to hear.

Most scholars are religious so they will grant that he probably existed but there is actually no contemporary accounts of his life. Literally 0 references by anyone that made it into the historical record until decades after he apparently died. So, the fact that you believe the tales in the bible based on "scholars" who admit there is no evidence he lived isn't very convincing to me.

He seriously said that one of Jesus disciples disguised himself as Jesus and they instead crucified him. This is not only a big lie. It's being the worst blasphemous thing you can say: saying that Jesus in fact did not die for our sins but instead cowardly sending one of his most loyal friends to a painful death would turn Jesus into a sinful piece of (I don't even want to use this word in the same sentence as in which mentioning our lord) who would have used his power to escape his fate and sending a man who loves you from his heart into hours of pain and death, not fulfilling his dedication to God and not being our saviour! What "prophet" Muhammed did there proves him to be the actual Antichrist, putting him at the top below God and degrading our saviour to be something worse you could imagine. It wasn't a disciple it was one of the enemies allah made him look like jesus and he kept crying and yelling "i am not jesus"but they saw what allah made them see that this is jesus and they killed the guy meanwhile jesus was elevated to the heaven alive and he will discend to earth at the end of time to guide all the muslims against the false Messiah. The flood, the construction of the ark, finding and fitting that many animals on the ark, almost if not all the land animals would have died, noah living to almost 1000 years old. And in that same book it tells you a man rose from the dead after being deas for 3 days. Exactly how reliable is that supposed to be?

The whole point of "faith" is that you do not get concrete evidence. If there was concrete evidence, then there would hardly be anyone refuting it. Additionally, just because something is not concrete does not mean it is false. Most of modern science is pure theory that we have not been able to prove. Some theories end up being proven as true every once in a while, but for every one that is proven, there are dozens that are then disproven.

"What if you found out that Jesus wasn't even real?" Well, what if you find out He actually IS real? Christianity at it's core, which according to me is PURELY God's word (The Holy Bible) teaches nothing but love, hope, healing, belonging, forgiveness, wholeness, morality...listen, the list can go on. The word of God may be offensive, but it harms no one. Sure people can USE and INFLUENCE the word through sinister interpretation. However, the word by itself is harmless. They're "just words". Right? Just black and white letters, sentences and paragraphs. Okay. So here's my take. What do you lose believing in a loving and merciful God that loved you so much that He sent His only son so that if you believe in Him you will not die but live in spirit WITH HIM for all eternity? What do you really lose? And let's say you live according to God's word and find out on the other side that there is no God. Guess what? You would've simply lived a fulfilling life in peace and that's that. Let's try the other scenario. You live life however you want with no limitations. You do as you will with no true sense of morality and basically live it up doing you. BUT. You get to the other side and uh-oh, God was real all along. The difference between the first and second scenario is in the second scenario it's too late. Nothing can be done at that point. You know where the Bible says non-believers go so I don't need to get into that. Personally, I'd rather believe in a loving, gracious and caring God. I'd rather believe in someone who apparently saw something in me (even when I didn't deserve it. Even when I didn't think I was worth anything), He saw something worth saving. Ofcourse, I trust 110% that Jesus is real.....but even if He wasn't, my life has been better for it.

The character Jesus is a made up copy cat character. There were multiple other religious characters before him that shared the same events, virgin birth, 3 Kings, dead for 3 days, resurrected.... the reality is the character Jesus is meant to be the Sun. The 3 Kings the 3 stars on Orions belt, dead for 3 days is the equinox where the sun from earths p.o.v. settles in the lowest part of the sky for 3 days only to rise again. The 12 deciples Jesus travelled with is the 12 constellations the sun "travels" with. Notice any Christian church artwork always has Jesus' head over the sun, with his crown of thorns... (sun rays).

Well the bible litelary describe the human situation from beginning middle to end. Everything seems coming true foretold in the bible. The reason why GOD flooded the earth cause humanity corrupted thier dna cause they cant follow simple instructions to the point that the animals, plants and human corrupted themselves creating nephilims (half human half something) thier lifestyle is dangerous to the original human who do the right thing. So God gather the animals and humans in the ark and flooded the earth. Cause mixing the corrupted dna and the original dna would cause the original dna to get corrupted hence human extinction. God warned us this will happen again in the future. Sodom and gormorah practices sexual immorality to the point that genders does not matter anymore, they are selfish and proud. Sex is only meant for making babies everything against it is sexual immorality. Reminds you of lgbtq isnt?. So God destroyed sodom and gormorah to protect people from thier practices cause it ecourages chaos they are fallen. This too will happen in the future. LGBTQ, DNA corruption, Deception, Lawlessness is a symptom of a fallen world this all happen before the world got renewed after the flood. But here we are again same old same old the only ark we have is Jesus.

Yeah but people like Joe Rogan wouldn't do that because deep down they all know the Truth but remain wilfully ignorant because they hate the Truth and love their sins too much. Hence they'll only surround themselves with fellow slaves to sin and yes men who will tell them what they want to hear and help cement their delusions deeper. I often thought how very lucky (or even clever, wise etc) I was to be able to discover the Truth and get Saved in a dark World just chock-full of cunning deception at every turn and against all the odds when so very few people actually do... But no it's not luck and it's certainly nothing I did on my own to take credit for. No now I truly believe only an act of Almighty God can free us and open the eyes and soften the hearts of people so very deeply decieved and dead in their sins.... just as I was and people like JR sadly still are. Don't get me wrong yes we can and should plant the seeds and share the Gospel and all, but ultimately it's who He will save or not. Also I have no idea really why He would free and save me of all people... I certainly didn't deserve it... But He did and I'm eternally grateful for that! 🙂😌🙏

Someone asked me that question when i was a teen and I said that well then, I lived a good lifestyle that I enjoyed. What the world has to offer really doesn't satisfy me for long. like when i was a kid and wanted a bike, great for a bit then it was just way to get to places faster. same with a car, the enjoyment didn't last.

It's not just that "they believed" Christ resurrected from the dead or "they believed" Christ showed Himself to them, Christ actually did these things. He even appears to at least 500 people. The false christs did none of those things. As Christians we have to avoid language that could lead to the post modern idea of "well that was just their truth, other people have a different truth and different beliefs." Nope. Truth is truth. Jesus Christ is true God and true man , the true Messiah, who died on the cross for the sins of the world. Whoever believes in Him will have eternal life, whoever does not will have eternal death.

That’s always the case. Heck even many atheists try dispelling of the Bible having not even read and understood it. It’s amazing how they do that actually. It’s as if they have a vendetta against God and the Bible or a point to prove but refuse to even do the work to properly stand against it all. Wild

The people who want Christians to “wake up and smell the coffee “ are those who don’t read the Bible, don’t know the prophecies concerning the Messiah, have no idea why Jesus was crucified and don’t believe He was raised from the dead by the Holy Spirit. So they want everyone to be as miserable and lazy and misguided as they are.

Like anyone who says "there was like 20 other people in that 30 year span claiming they were Jesus" is credible. He means claiming to be the Messiah. Why would they all be claiming to be Jesus unless Jesus was the Son of God? Guy doesn't even know what he's saying.

Turns out there really was a strong man named Heracles in Greece. He's documented as being an extreme powerlifter who was also a soldier and traveled around Greece as many athletes do and performed feats of seemingly inhuman strength. Does that mean Heracles is the son of god? No. That would be an absurd leap, not logic

@@Douglas-nt7jd typical straw man. Heracles never claimed to the Son of God, never claimed He came from God, never claimed to fulfill a Law and Prophetic books that at time stemmed from 1,500 to 300 B.C.

@@chapter404th there have been over 20 thousand documented high functioning schizophrenic patients globally who claim to be the direct children of God here to bring divine teachings. Most of whom have actual recorded conversations and clinical documentation. There have been well over 500 recorded cult leaders since 1930 that people swear up and down could perform miracles and were children of God. The point is people will believe in the demonstrably absurd, and will claim others or themselves to be divine. It is absurd to believe any of them without proof. It is even more absurd to believe in one who lived 2000 years ago in an age where people believed basic sleight of hand was sorcery. The point is there's about as much documentation of Heracles as there is for Jesus. In today's society believing in the divinity of one is absurd, the other is normal. And yes, Heracles did claim Zeus granted him strength.

@@Douglas-nt7jd that’s why you have to test those people, to see whether or not their claims corresponds with reality. For one, the difference between the God of the Bible and any other god is that every single god is made within the universe and in the representation of a materialistic/created thing (i.e golden calfs, Sphinx cat, etc). The God of the Bible is unique because this God is claiming to be outside of the universe, the creator of the material world, the sustainer of natural laws, and the standard of goodness. We know now that the universe in fact have a beginning, and the universe is made up of time/space/matter. Secondly, the difference is there is proof for Jesus being the Messiah. There are hundreds upon hundreds of prophecies concerning the Messiah, most notably Isaiah 53 which was written in the 7th century B.C. Then you have Daniel 9:25-27 which predicts all the events that would transpire in the first century, including the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. There’s a lot more but for times sake I won’t get into all of it. Not to mention any honest skeptic can see Christ’s teachings are far different than before him and after him. I can list why I say this if you’re interested in hearing me out.

You missed something. The disciples of Jesus were all executed by the Romans in the end. You don't voluntarily get beheaded, crucified, skinned alive and even sawn in half for a guy you think was just a cool teacher. They believed he was the incarnation of God with such certainty nat they happily accepted torture and death. That's significant.

It would be nice if Rogan had someone on there who could properly refute him. There are extra biblical historical accounts of Jesus by Roman and Greek and Jewish historians. Yes and before anybody says anything there do appear to be a couple of lines from Josephus that were embellished. Not too long ago they actually found some of Josephus ridings in Aramaic that do not contain those lines.
