I remember having this game when I was younger and I was TERRIFIED of it. I got so freaked out whenever I lost a Kirby so I could never complete it.

The composer of this game also worked on Mother 3! I love this game's sountrack so much and have a weirdly strong connection to this game. It makes me very happy.

Btw, the villain in this game came the closest to killing Kirby. When a Kirby is lost, they literally die, when they're caught by the skull gang, they're killed, the gameover screen is literally just Kirby dead, and the final boss' name is literally Death God(Necrodeus). I love this game heh.

I have so many good memories of playing this game when i was little. Mass attack probably isn't that good when compared to other games but i love it and all its wonkyness

Best pinball game. I’ve liked the game, but most especially the mini games. Also, the theme for the Skull Gang was used for “The Skeleton Appears” meme.

I finished it and got all the medals... It was fun and it was pain... I loved the style, the music (some bad tunes here and there though) and the variety throughout the game! It really felt like a passion project from the devs! Also the many wacky cutscenes throughout!!! But yeah... Kirbys needlessly getting stuck on corners or the game being unfair and eliminating some of your Kirbys is maddening... Controlling so many Kirbys was often cumbersome.

kirby mass attack: the one where kirby kills death and the most fun in the series

I have some thoughts about this game. I was playing through every main series Kirby game with my friend and this was the only game we decided to skip partway into the game. Most levels are very long, especially for a handheld game. The amount of times you have to replay a level to get collectibles is ridiculous, especially when some collectibles are required to beat the game. The overall game flow is kind of repetitive. And don’t even get me started on trying to get a gold star on every stage. The game overall is fine, but it’s one of the weaker ones for sure.

As a kid I had to choose between getting Mass Attack and Return to Dream Land and I chose Mass Attack and (even tho RTDL is the better game) i’d choose it again. That’s how good it is

I love this flawed game. The mini games and the main game have their charm, but for some reason I find this to be the “saddest” Kirby game for a reason that’s hard to comprehend. Perhaps it’s the utter brutality of watching little Kirbys get crushed to death and their souls flying away, or kidnapped by the creepy Skullies. I guess the main theme song along with the Kirby Quest music sounds oddly sad to me as well. Don’t take my word for it because I haven’t played a whole lot of this one, let alone every game in the series, but I think this might be arguably the hardest game as well. It would make sense as Necrodeus probably got the closest to destroying Kirby. Lastly for my disorganized thoughts I think the main game probably feels the least like a Kirby game if you ask me, not just in gameplay but also atmosphere. It just lacks a lot of Kirby music and characters and settings, which is fine but worth noticing.

i absolutely adored this game growing up. but i wasn’t very good at it so i’ve never actually beaten the game myself but my older sister has several times! i’m really want to replay it myself at some point.

This is a kirby game I always wanted to play but never got the chance, it looks so fun,, the Sidemodes look addictive brings back Daroach and has a really good soundtrack.

This game is the quirkiest Kirby game ever created.

On that topic of passionate last minute, I feel as those games in particular are the biggest hit or miss creations in gaming history like this one. You can either get a smash hit that let's the console end with a bang, or be the reason it's headed to the scrapper like Kirbo' extra crappy craft world (all dumb except the new mini games).

I remember being excited when my friend gave me this game because he didn't realize this wasn't a traditional game in the series (he wanted to get into it) but then I just put it down and completely forgot about it. It's a cute idea, and I like many elements, but it doesn't feel like it warrants its own game somehow. Still, a good time waster!

I have never played Kirby Mass Attack, but that commercial was great, seeing 10 kids beat up a tree was some of the funniest s##t ever.

I really don't know why people consider this a spin off when it has between has from 2.5x to 10x more Kirby than the other games. (I forgot about Battle Royale but everyone did so it's fine)

what if there were 10 puppies... Anyway I love Mass Attack, I don't consider it to be one of the best in the series but it's still great. First thing I wanna praise are the visuals, yeah this is definitely the swansong for the sprite based Kirby games as you said and honestly put out of all the sprite based Kirbys I think this one has my favourite visuals. They're really expressive, the animation is quite nice and fluid at times, the use of colours is wonderful and it's just overall a really great looking game. The music is also top tier, like ik I said Epic Yarn has the best ost last video but this is definitely in the top 5-10 I'd say. I think the level design is really great but that's where I have to admit, this game kinda feels like missed potential. I'm not that into the gameplay, it's fun enough but it just gets repetitive and kinda boring at times for me. Like, flicking Kirbys at enemies can take a few seconds and it's just not too awfully interesting to me. The game having so many levels per world is also a bit much, like most games have around 4-5 levels and a boss but IIRC every world aside from the last has like 15 levels. Like cool but chill out please, 4 levels per world is fine and 15 is way too much 😭. It definitely adds to me being kinda bored at times. The bosses are mostly solid, nothing too special but I like them. I actually think that this game would probably be one of my favourites so far if it had the same type of gameplay as more standard Kirby games and there were just less levels. Oh and yeah the subgames are godly, the Whack a Mole one is solid and Curtain Call is kinda whatever but all the other ones are amazing. Peak subgames, they're honestly why I consider the game great. Without them this game is just a good solid Kirby game, but with them? It's really something special. 8.3/10. I also find the title a bit funny because of Mouse Attack, like there are two Kirby games with shockingly similar titles in Europe haha. Not a big deal, it's still a good title. Now the next game's European title... 🥴

Tbh, i have no opinion on mass attack, i don't consider it a main series game but i also don't feel like it's a spin-off, like a middle ground between them, it's definitely a fun game, but the touch controls feel weird to me, not bad, just weird, the only part i really enjoyed was the final boss, and even then, it wasn't that fun, i can't imagine how it'd be to 100% this game, still, it's a decent game, just not the best (it's one of the worst that i played, and if a decent game is one of the worst kirby games for me, that means then kirby games are that good) Poyo! ✨
