The XBox market opens the door for things like this plane to come into the market now days and be useable to the casual user. I don't think some people consider that

Here in Feb, 2023, now that Horizion Simulations made a FBW compatibility mod with some improvements (like changing numbers/names in the EFB and MCDU) I've found that all of LVFR's aircraft to be super enjoyable

The LVFR A21N is a good plane if you don't count the semi-working VNAV and it using default systems. I've gotten pretty good on descending in my flights without VNAV and I like to say I mastered the default flight models😂. Those things are not a requirement for me (though it would be nice to have them). Wayyy better than what Captain Sim gave us I think. I have not encountered a single bug with the aircraft on the ground or in the air. I do realize there are other and much better options out there, but if it's flyable and it looks and sounds good, it's a yes for me.

Honestly, there aren't many options (talking from a Xbox user perspective). Many of us can't afford high-end computers, so we are stuck with limited options, hence marketplace. Having to buy liveries rather than being able to download them, not having options like Fenix and PMDG. It's frustrating, but you make do with what's avaible. That said, LFVR A321XLR is honestly not that bad. It's enjoyable to fly, but annoying when you can't even load it to high detailed airports without crashing as soon as it loads. Overall though, I'm not mad I bought it. I'm happy it's not a Captain Sim or BREDOK3D product.

A cautionary tale? For who? I watched this and other videos before choosing to buy the plane (on PC). I enjoy the A321 a lot! I like the liveries, the animated cabin, the sounds. The plane looks nice. The flight model is noticeably different even though it's based on the default A320. The plane is heavier and longer which makes me, for example, land at a different speed and be more mindful of tail strikes vs the A320. So for my purposes, it's a good time and a good buy. I believe that you're trying to provide fair and useful reviews. Your click bait-y "crap" thumbnail notwithstanding, your actual review is a lot more balanced and you do show what's good about the plane and what's awful. So far so good. What I don't like about your review is the not-so-subtle assertion that, because this plane is aimed at the casual market, it's lower quality and shouldn't be bought. Moreover, the unsuspecting customer needs to be warned of this danger. The A321 is "inferior" to the FlyByWire and Fenix so it why does this exist, right? It's regression back to two years ago, right? But who's in danger? The casual user who this will most appeal to? No. It's the hardcore enthusiast. The one who also wants an A321 but will be disappointed because this is a default-level aircraft. Moreover, if this casual A321 sells well, it means more default-level planes will come out which the hardcore crowd won't want to buy. Less "high-fidelity, reliable, good investment" planes, right? Gotta have a high price or it's not "good" right? First off, PMDG and Fenix and FlyByWire and Working Title aren't going anywhere. The hardcore market will have their developers. Shouldn't there also be planes for those who don't want to pay such a high price? For those who aren't looking for that level of complexity? There's this maddening notion in the sim world that "study-level" and "higher complexity" means "good" and "casual," "default," "lower complexity" means "bad." That's not necessarily true, is it? While the higher fidelity planes are generally made with more care, they're also unapproachable to beginners or even intermediates. The PMDG 737 might be magnificent but it's also got a crushing difficulty curve. Its complexity is the whole point of it's existence. Will a beginner enjoy trying to turn that thing on from cold and dark? At least a beginner will likely get the LatinVFR off the ground before they get discouraged. There's good reasons to have lower-complexity planes in the sim and they shouldn't be looked down on or denied to people who want them. If you believe the LatinVFR A321neo is ultimately "crap" based on your experience and expectations, that's your conclusion. There's no argument here with that. It's your honest opinion. That's what a review should be about. But portraying this plane's release like it's "a cautionary tale?" Come on! This plane is clearly not for you and you knew it before you bought it. The quality of the plane is irrelevant in this review because, really, you're not even speaking to the actual intended user. This is a review from a hardcore point of view for a hardcore audience to lament the disappointment of this plane not being the high-fidelity version you wanted.. Meanwhile, I'm just trying to get some info and I'm getting grief for potentially wanting to buy a sim plane. That's what irritated me enough to write this overlong post. The LatinVFR A321neo isn't "crap." If a PMDG 737 is a 4.5 out of 5, the A321neo is a 3 out of 5. It's "not that great" as the review says, but it's at least competent, with many good qualities (which are also highlighted in this review) and plenty of fun to be had. It's supported by a developer who's updating it, fixing problems in response to user comments. It's not for everyone but, for a certain audience, it's the right choice. And that audience includes me, a PC user who doesn't always want to spend 10 minutes waiting for the IRS to align while I program the FMC in my 737-600. Who once in a while wants to press CTRL-E and just get on with it already. Who gets a kick out of seeing a cabin that has passengers after I've committed the flight to autopilot. Who pilots my smart looking pretend airplane and soars over gorgeous pretend scenery and has real fun. That to me was worth $25. It's up to you to decide if it's worth it for you. Oh, and I can hear my virtual passengers cause I used the money that could have gone to another "study-level" plane to buy FSRealistic :) Thanks and God bless! Mike Arguelles

Gotta wonder if someone will mod it so you can use the FBW systems, could end up being a pretty darn good mod til FSLabs or Fenix come out with theirs. If that’s the case, wouldn’t mind picking it up. Til then, I’ll wait and see.

I think PCers need to realise this is not for them. This is good value as most livery packs are 4.99 for 6 or 7 plus 4 planes - yes it has faults - but this is aimed at bringing the Xbox level up - but i love how pc users complain when they have so many more choices.

Mainly for Xbox being that half of the overhead panel is nonfunctional Good for eye candy on a console or for beginner simmers

Thanks for the great video. But LVFR should stick to scenery development. This is NOT a A321neo!!! The A321neo has no 2L/R doors but 2 overwing exits on each side which are totally missing in this model. This is a regular A321-100 with sharklets which is not existent. Should have regular winglets.

Absolute crap.Should have been freeware just like the Headwind A330-900. Which by the way is a much better plane when compared to this!

Theres freeware better than this. Just use the default A320 and pretend youre in A318/19/20/21. Flight decks and wings are all the same. The wings on the Asobo are better even.
