Is Legendary Godzilla more of a tyrant than a hero? Sure, he's the big guy we cheer for when he's taking down the big baddies like Ghidorah and the Mutos, but does that automatically make him the good guy? While he might be doing us humans a solid by keeping the planet safe, is he really doing the same for the other Titans? I mean, Ghidorah was all about wiping out everything, so in that sense, yeah, Godzilla's the lesser evil. But does that mean he's all sunshine and rainbows for the other Titans? Picture this: you're a fresh-faced Titan just trying to find your groove in the Monsterverse. Suddenly, here comes Godzilla, ready to throw down and make you bow to his greatness. If you resist, Well, let's just say it's not gonna end well for you. You'll be laying there, burnt to a crisp, regretting not just going along with Godzilla's ego trip. And if you do cave and bow? Say goodbye to your autonomy 'cause now you're just another cog in Godzilla's big ol' Titan machine, following his orders like a yes-man. Basically, if you're not Godzilla, you're living in a dictatorship where freedom's just a pipe dream.

@@NachoKing91 In the Dominion Novel, Godzilla went back to one of his lairs, where he was previously kicked out by the rival. However, Tiamat killed the rival, so when Godzilla was going back there, Tiamat attacked him. She was beating him until he got them up to land where she had to submit to Godzilla. Because of this aggressive behavior, and that tiamat is a destroyer titan, Godzilla took no chances and killed her because she was in his way and challened him again. If she titan fight back she would be alive.

Legendary Godzilla is more of an anti-hero than a tyrant. EDIT: thank you for the Likes. RE-EDIT: now it’s actually confirmed that he attacks Kong because Godzilla’s Ancestors were at war with the Skar King in which he killed all of the species minus Godzilla, that somewhat justifies his behavior with Kong.

Hes a guardian a guardian doesnt neccesarily imply good morality its like the secret service you dont just get to do anything and they can outright stop you if they feel it will endanger you. My guy, he tried to kill Scylla for the simple crime of waking up and wanting food. Then he ACTUALLY killed her because eventually she was like "You know what? Fuck this guy." I wouldn't be surprised if the other titans felt the same way, because all Godzilla does is essentially stand over them while they're sleeping and when they try to wake up, hits them with the "DID I JUST CATCH YOU HAVING FUN, N!GGA!?!" and knocks them out again. I wonder how many titans f%cked around and starved to death in their sleep because of Godzilla. I'm not saying Godzilla's the WORST king, but he's definitely not the best king either.

Is he though? He was in charge for millenias. "Nature" as humans call it, is simply world under his charge. He shaped the nature. Be it any other titan, nature would be different. So in that sense, he is pretty much a tyrant.

Do you think it was a coincidence that she just so happened to be at the largest source of radiation in the world? No, I think not. WHY do Kong fans insist Kong is a worthier king? Godzilla maintains balance and order and saved the world repeatedly. He's omniscient and knows when the planet is in danger and he goes out to stop it. In stark contrast Kong is a blundering idiot whose actions twice nearly led to the Earth's destruction, first in GvK when his support of Apex could have led to the resurrection of Ghidorah, then in GxK when his meddling resulted in the escape of Scar King from prison And for the Kong fans who defend him by saying it's not his fault, he didn't know better, well that's exactly it. He has the "I got to do what i got to do to protect my home" attitude. He is definitely about control. He's very aggressive and doesn't hesitate to kill or fight. Something i also notice is that Godzilla has never called out any other titan, so it gives the sense he has no safe regard for the lesser titans or base titans but would care about alphas. Tiamat and Scylla were base titan, they also were stealing raw power he needed to evolve. They also served no purpose alive to him, as they were destroyer titans and not rebalancers like Behemoth or Shimo and Nakika (srry if i got that wrong). I hope we dive deeper into what his thinking is and what his motives are. This new evolved form also has powered up Godzilla extremely, who knows what hes preparing for next.

They way i see it, godzilla has a job to do. And thats to keep the world in natural working order. And he's going to do that by any means necessary. So if that means he has to kill a few disobedient titans, and a few million humans who get in his way "either on purpose, or by accident", then so be it. It's a tough job, its a lonely job, but it's a necessary job. And the big G-Man is the right titan for the job.

He was basically asleep throughout the ship travel. If Godzilla didn't come , kong would have been at hollow earth already. It was Godzilla provoking him. Kong didn't challenge him. Godzilla destroying all the nearby ships to get to kong is what started the challenge in round 1. In round 2 he literally drills a hole to the centre of the earth and destroy Kong's home to provoke him when kong was literally just chilling. Mothra's neutral. Not as peaceful and interactive as kong. Kong cares for humans , protects them. Mothra just doesn't hurt humans. If Godzilla didn't destroy ships , kong wouldn't even be fighting him. Godzilla is truly evil. "He DoES WhAt He dOeS FOr A REaSOn" he beat up kong for giggles because he hates apes. That's a fact. You cannot deny that. he simply hates apes and so beat up kong for existing instead of warning or letting him be.

Godzilla reads to me as someone who doesn’t want to be king but has to be to regain some semblance of the peace he had. Big guy would probably prefer to just sleep and eat all day, cause he’s old and tired. He kills and fights to avoid major destruction and conflict that threatens that peace.

Godzilla has to keep everything in balance and order. The reason he killed Scylla and Tiamat is because they were both becoming too strong. Another thing, Scylla was basically on her final strike by making messes Godzilla had to clean up and even fought him several times, and Tiamat, after being warned to get out, proceeded to not obey and challenge Godzilla, thinking she was strong enough.

In my opinion, Godzilla's role doesn't really matter he is the last guardian of the earth, you can say Godzilla is more like a white blood cells that's protecting our body, but for his case he is the only one left against every enemy or viruses that threaten the balance of the world, his action of brutality or tyranny can be overlook because hes the only one who is willing to protect the balance against any threats and not turning evil for everything that happens to him, he never once leave his duty to protect the balance of the world

Scylla was spared her death even when trying to kill Godzilla multiple times because he knew she was a massive help to the earth. But she still wanted to kill godzilla, so he put her down to show who is the boss around there. Tiamat taken his lair and attacked him before nearly killing him. The second encounter, he told her to get out so he could absorb some radiation to get stronger. She thought she could beat him with the new power that she adopted and was also put down. She got in his way, he spares her, she gets in his way again, he puts her down. Amhuluk (another Titan from a comic) was trying to take a place he was not going to help in. Taking it from Behemoth which helped the environment. So he put him in his place. Godzilla is not a tyrant for keeping order. He gives Titans a second chance, maybe more if he's feeling generous enough. It's not his fault for other titans misbehaving, hes just putting them in their place

Bro, why are you hating on him, just because he’s better than all the titans doesn’t make home a tyrant, he literally lives alone, and he is used to everything challenging him. That’s why he’s not all sunshine and rainbows. And he’s not a bad Alpha Titian, he leaves the lesser titans alone as long as they don’t threaten him. You act like he puts them into slave labor or something.

Tiamat and Scylla were specifically powering themselves up with radiation to kill him. Godzilla, as the king of the titans and a maintainer of the balance of nature, stepped in to kill them

Godzilla isn't a tyrant, he's just making sure that the titans don't use their abilities for evil and only kill the ones who do use them for evil. Skar King is more likely the reason Godzilla has to check on every titan from time to time.

He does give Kaiju a chance to live unless they want to wipe the earth or upset the balance, like Scylla, Tiamat, Kong in the ocean fight during GvK, and some other Kaiju in the past. When they dont listen after the first fight, he slaughters them.

He started out as a good guy, but in gvk and gxk he started tearing up bridges and buildings with people in them. The first two movies, he was kinda a savior , but now he's more of like a power trip.

He’s no tyrant he only kills titans he sees as a legitimate threat to humanity or other titans in one of the novelisations when titanus amurak was attack behemoth’s home he knew amurak would be a future threat and had to kill him. This is the same with Scilla and Tiamat they could both become future threats and they were classified as destroyer titans so he must dispose of the threat it’s like the muto prime and the other mutos they were a threat to humanity and he must dispose of that threat before Earth is destroyed by them.

Scylla has plans to over throw Godzilla before. They fought and Godzilla let her live. She bowed down but was trying to gain more power to try again. Godzilla got fed up and decided to put her down once and for all. Same with Tiamat.

First of all, Scylla was intentionally getting stronger to challenge Godzilla for the title of Alpha Titan, they've actually fought more than once and Godzilla didn't immediately kill her before, second of all, Tiamat jumped Godzilla in Dominion, luckily Godzilla spared her but he was not gonna forget that interaction anytime soon, and then she decides to try and fight him a second time.

Tiamat ,scylla provoked godzilla in the past and he was done with it . Scylla wanted a rematch for ruling titans. Tiamat destroyed many places on ghidorahs orders .then attacked godzilla when he was there to challenge a kong. So when godzilla needed to power up . Upon hearing iwis distress calls he decided to get rid of them. Monarch has timat and scylla as destroyers .

So in the official movie novelization mentioned godzilla feeling scylla moving and heating up the sea when scylla used to be cooling it. Godzilla knew when scylla was charging up it meant she wanted to challenge him and with Tiamat that's the same thing. Besides godzilla is the alpha. Tiamat didn't move but challenged godzilla when he came to borrow the energy source. The world never belonged to humans. It belonged to Godzilla he's just establishing his dominance. He after all is the king of the monsters. Long live the king ❤

If you have watched all the movies, G killed only those who are actively trying to kill him or disturb earth balance, but even with that, he tried to spare when he can and left them with a warning. If he was really an egotistic titan ruler he would have killed all the titans who ride with gidora in king of the monster and killed Kong for roaring back at him

He only killed Scylla because she pissed him off in the comics. All she did was absorb radiation and dip multiple times before Godzilla showed up. Then in the film, she only attacked humanity to flush out Godzilla and 1v1 him, thinking she was stronger. Didn't pan well to say the least.

The MUTO and others titans could cripple the survival of humanity without Godzilla fighting them. If the MUTOS were constantly feeding on radiation and use EMP humanity would not have electricity or internet anymore and would go back to stone age. If Gidorah dominated Earth with all the others like Rodan humanity would be destroyed. If Godzilla wanted just dominance he would wipe out every single life form on Earth. Godzilla is simply a force of balance.

First thing to know is that Godzilla isn't necessarily a hero or a villain he's just a dude doing his job and realistically he doesn't really care about anybody or anything as long as the stability of the planet is still there meaning he will brutally kill trap and consume anyone he needs to to obtain that However if you also read the novelizations and some of the comics most of what Godzilla does is to help the planet and anytime he kills a Titan that's oftentimes whenever the Titan decides to fight him instead of bow down and do their job (generally doing something to help the planet in some way instead of just disrupting the balance like most of them do)
