Hassan has a major crush on Humayun Saeed... warna there is no reason keh uss ke her cheez Hassan ko pasand aati hai, and he continuously interrupts Aamna, when she is making a valid critical point. It is super annoying and please we viewers aren't dumb keh hummye pata na chalye keh discussion kis tarha mori jaa rahi hai.

Just saw an hour video of Hassan desperately trying to defend the movie and snubbing Aamna by not letting her give her review properly. I mean she was continuously interrupted every time she started to make a valid point on how and why the movie was so generic and plain and why new content should and can be made. Hassan please let Aamna speak her mind for she makes far more valid points and brings well rounded conclusions simply because she has far more experience. Please try.

I agree. Hassan finds it difficult to strike a balance between being an impartial film critic of his friends in the industry. We know he shares this friendship with Humayun. That is understandable. In that case he needs to refrain from being a part of it and let Amna do the review. It was very obvious that Hassan was trying to do "damage control" to Amna's authentic review.

I am amazed how Aamna points out flat expressions of female artists in dramas mentioning potential botox etc but couldn't notice the flat expressions of Humayun in this movie. It is very prominent in the song where he is dancing with Gohar and there's so much difference in the facial expressions of both. Gohar was superb as he is dancing from heart. We could notice it in the not so good screen of London dedicated for Pakistani movie. Also the movie has KRQ vibe in the dialogues in terms of sexist jokes. Also there were many loop holes in the story that keep you wondering how certain things were happened.

I disagree on a lot of things. I saw this movie on the first day of Eid. Very disappointed. Kubra Khan was the only thing that seemed promising. She appears stunning. It is very heartbreaking to see what Pakistani Film industry truly gives us in their films. The point is that the film producers are so incompetent and lack in vision that they are completely unaware of what they are doing. They actually wasted two to three hours of my productive day. Moreover, In my opinion, Humayun Saeed no longer has a star power. I want to see a new and fresh face as a hero. We need to explore other options and start taking risks if we want to grow and progress.
@aziza000
@aziza000 2 жыл бұрын
He has star power but no one wants to see him play same old characters. It shows lack of originality actually they just continued the landscape of PNJ but changed the story around. It would’ve been better had he made an action thriller or an comedy action film rather than the same old film. At least with QEAZ Nabeel tried, but for some reason that film isn’t doing as well. I would love to see a cop duo comedy film a bit like Bad Boys or Jump Street but in Pakistani style. Humayun with a younger actor in main role alongside him.

Exactly what disappointed me about the movie. The comedy was excellent - in fact, probably the movie's strongest suit. But they could've served us enemies-to-lovers, a thriller (considering the plotline), or sweet moments between the main couple. There could've been several ways they could've made their relationship work. Instead, they went for a very rushed end (Zara being won over by the poetry was just plain stupid) and Jameel Qamar's actions nullified the feminist angle given to the story.

And I don’t understand the review, you think it was predictable and story was weak but still you believe movie was good? how ? Why we(Pakistani) can’t do things properly ??? I’m talking about proper review of films. Film reviews are point to point reviews (globally) in which reviewer talks about Story , Script , Direction , Characters , Screenplay , Casting, Production and the main elements of films in a 10-15 minutes review. In other countries, even their individual youtubers give such authentic and point to point review that it feels totally professional. Already disappointed by filmmaking in Pakistan which is far far far away from filmmaking. Already disappointed by marketing of films in Pakistan how they upload trailers on new fresh youtube channels rather than the official production house channel. Now, disappointed by reviews too. BUT BESIDES EVERYTHING I AGREE WITH AMNA ON THIS : K ye television me b hain sab yaha b or wohi acting kr rhy hain. THANK GOD SOMEONE SAID THIS. Want to write more because as a cinephile dukh hota hai bhai but i think itna kaafi hai 😌😀

I think we need more film directors and writers.. Like even in India one type of director makes that genera films mostly, u can't expect Sanjay Leela bhnsali to make film of Imtiaz Ali type and zoya akhtar to make film of karen johar ...we need more script writers esp more than directors... And TV stars should be separate from film stars... Saba mahira Mehwish, kubra, mawra are those that should do films only, and same is for fahad Humayoun Ali zafar fawad etc... They r cut for big screen

Really disappointed in the movie it's lazily made, they totally took the script off pnj abs the songs dashed a bit of feminism in it and that's it. They really kept saying it is not a sequel to pnj but it is Humayun acts like fawad khaga, mehwish again was the same bahir ki larki. Songs are meh, acting is mediocre they don't look like hero heroine who need to get married. Sohail Ahmed was the best thing about the movie. To top it all that the movie freaking drags it is too long yet the story doesn't answer the major questions. By the end you don't even know how she fell for him. 2 out of 5 stars people in Pakistan can watch it on TV when it premiers cuz it is at the end of the day a drama

Thank you Amna for always being honest and not being carried away while reviewing. KRQ and his feminist POV doesn't sit well together. It's just a tactic to white wash his misogynistic image. He is a confused man who doesn't know what he wants in his life. I don't know why he gets all the limelight!! Secondly the debate about demarcation between film and TV actors. It's a very old age discussion. Primarily an actor's job is to perform the character convincingly irrespective of the medium. I think the real problem lies in the writing and direction. Writers are not writing diverse characters, also there is no variety in the execution (looks, style of acting, voice, expressions).

Pakistani Cinema is dying and it doesn't need toxic and one sided old writers like Khalil ur Rahman Qamar. I would like to stay bored for the rest of my life rather than watching crappy cheap movies being released on Eid. I mean look at that man How can he write thought provoking ,artsy, fantasy scripts ? Which actually holds some meaning. That's impossible. Look at "Kamli" and its team. Look at their approach. Look at the team. Look at the writer she's barely 23 and just look at those old craps. Who made "London nhi jaunga" even the titles suck. We can't expect the change when these old craps are handling the industry. They need to be replaced. Their content and decision needs to be challenged and opposed. And it's possible only when the audience itself starts to have some sense. People are making The crown, Stranger Things, scared games, Breaking bad and educational shows with utmost entertainment. Un k tou simplistic aur crime shows like "Orange is the new black" bhe itny engaging or entertaining hoty. Pakistani film Makers, How can you make a 3 hour long movie just for entertainment and it's gonna suck anyway. Because the project is a pure ignorance. Look at our Kamli, it was deep, dark and subtle and yet it provided entertainment and 6 songs with true meanings. Not fazool ka bhangra and flat screenplay. I'm just saying our current film Makers need to change their thinking or retire all the way. Or bring freshness and new,bold and experimental people to the table because we have grown so much because of digital platforms.

Amna’s review is so on point. We saw the movie in Qatar and we were 3 out of 6 people in cinema hall as we went to support our cinema but movie has so many flaws like it was like the screen is of 80s movie, cameras are so old they really need to work on camera despite to spend on location, songs are not catchy or like we will remember after even watching the movie. We have that question too that how they reached London and even have horse barn while sara left in miserable situation and my hubby was saying that how sara and zara agreed in the end, and came back without any reason shown while Gohar didn’t seemed perfect for the side kick and Wasey also doesn’t have much to do in role being an extra ordinary talented person. I even think Saifi hassan and Asif Raza Mir also wasted. We need new faces not the same drama cast for the side roles and hero heroin as well. Last Pakistani movie we watched was Parwaz Hai Junoon and that movie is kind we want to see, waiting for Zaraar now as Shan really had that magic and charisma which speaks on screen. If people want to watch the movie its fine to go as its time pass movie but nothing new in the story.

I watched LNJ on first day of Eid in Melbourne and had prepared myself for a predictable feel good movie. I definitely enjoyed the songs, their clothes and the dialogues, however they need to put out stories 'beyond' guy meets girl... Kubra looked absolutely stunning and I felt she acted better than Mehwish. Please make them on other narratives.. PS I wished Kamli had been released overseas because I went on Eid day 2 to watch Quaid e Azam Zindabad. I like QZ better when comparing with LNJ. (In both movies there were only a handful of people in the cinema)

This was a hugely disappointing movie imo I watched it on the second day of Eid and I really wish I’d watched Quaid e Azam or top gun instead It was repetitive, tedious and regressive to no end I’m a big Humayun Saeed fan and I’m all for him playing lead in his productions. But the script was disappointing and it short changed him as an actor. He really didn’t suit the character. The only way this story could be redeemed was if the lead was a younger actor and I say this with utmost adulation and admiration for Humayun Saeed’s work. He needs to pick maturer scripts and fresher story lines. Punjab was much much more enjoyable. The production quality of LNJ was amazing and I hate to see so much money, time and effort wasted on a poor storyline and caricaturish story telling and acting. I mean gauhar’s character audibly sighing at the sight of a gori, how many times do they expect us to pay for the same crap and fall for it?? Why would I pay to watch Sohail Ahmed’s same one-tone acting and sarcastic humour when it’s rampant on tv. The poetry was embarrassing, the humour was over the top, the ending was predictable and Mehwish Hayat was unbearable! Surely the likes of intelligent actors like Humayun Saeed, Kubra Khan and Gauhar must know better!

Watched London Nahun jaunga and had watched Chakkar previously...LNJ is so predictable...nothing new..Humayun Saeed and Mehwish ...flat expressions ...the same cast..nothing new...I like Humayun Saeed but this pairing is so stale now and they look old to be in the romancing genre scene. Kubra is a livewire and looks great! LNJ is a run of the mill story, been there, done that ages back.....on the other hand Chakkar was unique, had a fresh good cast and was a great entertainer.

I personally dont mind if the "movie actors", star in dramas too once in a while. Jennifer Aniston is a classic example of someone who hopped from the silver screen to the big screen, and back effortlessly, n it did not impact her aura/star pull. The pool of good actors/stars is so limited, plus dramas and movies tend to have very different treatments n stories. Now imagine after tich button releases, would we say we dont want to see feroze, farhan n soniya in dramas anymore?

For it’s genre I think it was a really great movie. Production quality and direction/editing were on point. Compared to all other movies in the past it had a natural and entertaining flow. No one was overacting. It didn’t get boring or cringe-y. In those respects it was a break through masala movie for Pakistan! In that respect I think it deserved 4 ⭐️ at least. Hassan shouldn’t have been so conservative with his rating. The only issue was that Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat felt old for these roles but it wasn’t too hard to get over that. Kubra was splendid.

Just watched this about 3 hours ago and I want my money back! My mom was so excited to see it because she's a big fan of Humayun but the movie was awful. Yes, production quality was great, but that was it. The story line had gaps, I couldn't tell if I was watching a serious drama, action thriller or comedy. It kept changing with every scene ( not in a seamless way) and it made the film look like it was pieced together from other projects. Definitely would recommend people watch Quaid e Azam Zindabad instead, it's great!!

This review felt short. There should be focused discussion on 1. Story 2. Songs 3. Acting 4. Directors 5. Overall . You touched on it but it was a bit all over the place. It would be good to have an outline. Then leaving the end for open conversation about the whole feminist point of view, about the covid break and continuity and everything else. Keep up the good work. It helps ot have it crisp in the beginning.

Just started the review but lemme say this first! We all went to see the movie for the love of Pakistani Cinema and we trust Humayun Saeed and his team. And for me….it’s KRQ’s writing style! Whatever his views might be, there is not a single writer who can write dialogues like him so that was the highlight for me 😃 I personally liked PNJ better than this one. Also I would want to know why they chose the wackiest and tiniest theater in New Jersey to release the movie! It ruins the whole experience. Still it was a houseful on Monday night 😳😅🤩

For the first time I dont really agree with your review. I think Hassan needs to stop sugar coating his reviews for the sake of his good relations with industry, thats your work to criticize & I think he should be fully honest with it whereas I am so impressed with Amna for always giving honest reviews. I personally watched the film and didnt like it at all - half ot the time I was busy with my phone instead of watching the film because it became too boring and predictable. I watched it only to support Pakistan industry overseas and thats it. If someone ask me, I would not recommend the film at all, there is nothing to miss out. Also, Mehwish's english was more american than british and even Kubra was having her britisg accent in some places.

I have started the video right now and before watching I have to say Humayun Saeed is the King.I can trust him with my money while going to watch his film..I have watched LNJ and I loved it and I will watching it again.... And amna ma'am here I Don't agree with you about their age...We keep seeing shahrukh and salman playing the same lovey dovey characters then why not humayun....I think humayun actually looked like a 35 yr old guy and not more than it,atleast way better than all these male leads of eidulfitr films Also for music everyone has a different taste....I loved the music and I still remember all songs of it by heart And to be really honest agar apne itni achi movie ko 3.5 stars diye hai tau chakkar,pmrd,dum mustam ko tau ap 1.5 bhi na dete Allah maaf kry k wo kitna torture humne bardasht kia hai...wo dekh li hoti tau isko 10 out of 5 stars dene thy.....

First of all, I am very happy for NB, HS & their team that this movie is doing great business all over the world & their hard work for the past 5 years is being paid of financially, so great motivation right there. I strongly believe in supporting Pakistani film industry which employ thousands of film crew. Plus we really do have the ability to make great films but we need fresh new writers. I rarely agree w/ Hassan but 100% w/ him on this regarding the movie. I think HS& MH look younger AND look good. HS looks absolutely great. Like Aamna said he has the stature. HS is a film STAR & most of us adore him. Kubra is adorable. Love the "Marjaniye" & the Mahiya song on Kubra Khan. Gohar Rasheed & Vasay Chaudry were not utilized to their ability but a good & very different part for Gohar Rasheed unlike his tv mold. For future reference, we really do want to see fresh stories. We want to see HS where he is either already married/ divorced or widowed & dealing w/ that phase of his life. Instead of following the same old Bollywood formula they should try other Hollywood/ international formula written around Pakistani cultural values. Kamli is a GREAT example. They need to work w/ UMERA AHMAD who is a great writer. My family spent 6 thousand rupees on this film, driver was out so got Careem both ways, tickets, popcorn & soda really adds up. Now they are planning to watch QAZ. I feel QAZ @ least has a fresh story which we all appreciate. HS, MH etc. should still come in dramas BUT be extremely selective & careful. Aamna is right that NOW this team owes US and give us something fresh. Watched CHAKKAR last night which has a pretty good storyline but don't care much for Ahsan Khan & the girl & it could have been better directed. We are the Netflix/ Apple Tv generation, please don't give us 1980s, feel good movies. We are not our parents. Waiting for "Tich Button" & "Zarrar".
