The performance on this game is so much better than at launch. I played then alot and lost 4 characters even fell through the map among other glitches. But now the frames drop sooooo much less than before ive barely noticed them. The reset character problems I and others had were fixed wont happen now. The stutters are so much better and the enemy density was address and lessened quite alot unless you are in New game plus then the density returns. i personally dont have a issue with the level design i think the seed beds can upset you but make more sense in new game plus and its a soulslike its supposed to have things that make you waste resources cause just like all the others like it the system is built on how we waste and lose resources irl. I play on ps5 and I've had a considerably less issues than you personally it sucks you have had this issues though. I will say its far from perfect i have the same issues with enemys floating and world mesh not loading or capes glitching. There are also boss changes needed each main boss except the Lightreaper ,Congregator of flesh, and the Spurned progeny needs like 2 or 3 new moves a way to close or create distance. They all need behavioral improvements as well and the and the Congregator of flesh needs something more I just don't know what. There are pvp issues with allowing people to match with characters 10000 levels above them and in this game that really matters cause resistances don't have a stop when leveling. They need to clean up the game abit for sure though.

Lies of P hurt my opinion of this game. That game came out a month before and had great enemy variety, fair and difficult bosses, and an actual stable frame rate.

The devs clearly released an early BETA build of the game, and yet I've seen people defend this. The game really had potential, but it will be forgotten about by the time it's fixed - shame

Dude the game is good. The level design is fine, but the seed bed placement is definetly frustrating. They def want you to waste those seeds. I would put one down then walk five feet and find a vestige......which makes the mechanic stupid, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Solid 8.5/10. It's no Elden Ring, but it's definitely comparable to a Dark Souls

I think the game is quite good now after a myriad of patches. I disagree with your criticism about the level design completely. I want to get lost in levels and not blindly run through a corridor. Feels great to make a mental map and come out the other side. Same with the Umbral flowerbeds. You're not supposed to use every single one of them but strategise if you really need to. DS 2 was supposed to have a similar system, I think. Overall, the bosses are "okay" but the level design and dual world feature is excellent. As an aside, the video was very enjoyable! Subbed. :D

I really don't understand the negativity around this game. It's the best soulslike out there. I played lies of p and lotf but LoP felt so basic and simple compared to lotf. I loved exploring the world in lotf and trying different builds and figuring out side quests. LoP doesn't have this. Both have gameplay issues and bosses are not Fromsoft quality but lotf is definitely the better one.

Lords of Fallen not a boss epic, like 'Lies of P' or 'Dark Soul.' It a get from point A to point B kinda game. And umbral lamp make it a challenge. Also. 'Feel' of controlling your character and using parry is really quite good. No backstab, like Hitman89 mention, kinda weak decision. I cheat and did Fightin Cowboy's walkthrough. No way I coulda done it alone. I not that experience. If you think you skilled like FIghtin Cowboy, this the game for you, show yourself you great at challenging RPG, minus epic bosses like Malenia or Laxasia. You play Dark Souls 3 and bosses wipe you out, and you do Judge Cleric in 'Lords of Fallen' and you solo her first attempt, you kinda amazed, cuz you still know getting through 'Lords of Fallen' an achievement. Farming souls is kinda fun and some combat mechanics are interesting, as in a very small, minute movement can get you out of harm's way. Anyway. I kinda glad 'Lords of Fallen' let me off the hook, so I can go back and practice Laxasia fight, in 'Lies of P,' with two dragon sword. Probably too late, redo all the bosses. I thought they did a good job with first boss, Pieta. And then the other early on boss, with the mount and the sneak up behind ability. If I remember correct, bosses get easier. Um. OK for me, but not OK for people gonna want money back.

So I got suckered in by the hype trailers, I preordered the $250 collector edition (sweet figurine tho), thinking this was going to be an instant classic. Once I received the game I waited several weeks to play it, as I was watching youtubers show how many bs issues the game had at launch. But when I finally did decide to play, ( hoard issues fixed, parry sound fixed, mossst of the frame drops fixed), ngl I liked the game (finished one playthrough, did the light cleanser path) for the art style, world art style, combat was good and enjoyable but not as good as other games in this genre (Lies, Souls, Elden), biggest reasons my takeaway from this game is negative tho are- -level design is wayyy too confusing, I found myself being totally lost and frustrated for mosttt of the game. Not fun to explore and navigate when ur just confused most of the time. -the story was so uninteresting. Especially the flayed memories or whatever, gawd stfu and let me get lost again, I listened to zero percent of it. I was so lost throughout the game that I missed an entire area and ended up going to the cleric fight (apparently the end game bosses before Adyr (that turd of a boss fight )) way too early and was underpowered af for those two bitches, kicked my ace for literally hours, but again I was so lost I didn't think leaving and coming back to them (like Elden) was even an option. Only until I beat them and find out there's still one beacon to cleanse, so badly lost I had to YT how to get to each beacon. So in short the game was actually fun and worth playing, but it ain't no FromSoft game, if expectations are high you're in for a let down, but if you buy this game on sale, expectations low, this is the way.

I honestly really wanted to like this game but it just has so many flaws I don’t really think any amount of updates will save the game for me as it is just flawed at a fundamental level. It really is a shame though bc I’m sure with a little more development time this could’ve been an awesome game but instead the devs released it half baked

All jokes aside, I definitely wish I never bought this game. Clunky, buggy, the jumping animation is dogshit, dodging and rolling is absolutely terrible. Not to mention the horrible level design and going into umbral sucks. Played it for a few weeks and that was about it. Maybe I'll go back to it sooner or later but it seems rather unlikely at the moment.

Tried my best to like this game. And damn. Was I disappointed. I stopped when I came to an area with 5 different enemies in an open courtyard area that all had instant homing death lazers. That shit ain't fun. It's fucking annoying. And that's the best way I would describe Lords of the falln. ANNOYING! Dark Souls is challenging. And Lords of the Fallen is ANNOYING!

I mostly disagree with this review, the level design for me is amaizing, i never got lost... and i also think they really had a good idea adding the vestige seed mechanism. When it comes to performance issues, the game worked perfectly, i encountered only one bug, i started falling through the map and died at some point. Maybe most of the problems were fixed when i started playing (2 weeks ago) The only real problem i see with the game is the multiplayer, i want to platinum the game and it was so hard to invade someone to take the related trophies, beside that i was still not able to help someone defeat a boss.

For me the vestige aspect is you just crying cuz you are not gut But the performance issue is a thing tho. i have 4070 and still game is derping around with 60fps at it best Never have graphical bug So i think your review is a little bit to harsh. I will give this game 7,5 with ez 8 when they acctualy fix performance
