when i looked at this figure in pictures on google i hated that head sculpt and thought it ruined an otherwise perfect figure but this video makes it look like a completely different head and i love it

Mafex DKR Superman is an amazing figure. I was lucky to grab mine during the holiday season for about $85. Great review and keep up the great work.

looks cool, is way better as the McFarlane Toys version but for me to pricy. I like TDKR and for me are the cheaper alternatives good enough

Nah, the only thing better is his body sculpt, it’s so so… hench. TDKR wins by a mile.

It’s close, but no. I like the colors, the cape, and the large S shield. That’s it. I hate the exaggerated bodybuilder body and large hands/feet. I do not like the DKR look. It’s too ugly for me.

I totally get it! The bodybuilder design is definitely different from the norm, but Mafex still did a good job recreating that odd look and still having awesome articulation. Is there a particular Supes design you prefer and are you new to the channel because I don't recall seeing you before.

@@ItsGeekEffect yeah, Mafex did a good job with this, ngl. I still don’t like the look anyway. Mafex did a really good Hush Superman. Probably the best look we can get for a Superman figure. Anyway, I saw your thumbnail randomly popped up in my feed, so I’m new, yeah.

highly overpriced, DC McFarlane sold a similar figure for a fraction of the price, basically less than $20 and for the avg consumer comparing the two, theirs isn't enough of a difference to justify the 5x price difference mafex is asking, it's not 5x better figure, it's 2x better than the McFarlane version.

I don't own the McFarlane version of this Superman so I can't speak too much when comparing the two. However, I looked at some pics of that figure and this Mafex one still seems to have the advantage in my opinion. I feel my money was well spent for what I got, but if their was an opportunity to drop the price I think anywhere between $70-$80 would be ideal.

Have to disagree. TDKR is one of my favorite versions of Superman. I picked up the McFarlane version in Walmart, looked at it, and immediately put it back. It is the ugliest figure I've ever seen. It looks like it was sculpted out of play dough and WTF happened with head sculpt?
