*OH FINALLY!! INTELLIGENT LIFE TO HAVE THIS CONVERSATION WITH!! WHAT A GREAT ANALYSIS LUV!!* I have to admit, when I first heard the song I was so confused, and not being Korean, I contributed my confusion to perhaps bad translation or English comprehension. But NO ONE really changed their lyrical interpretation (outside of a pronoun or noun here or there). So "You gave me the best of me" (I got that) but "So you'll give you the best of you" took me a minute, lol, and I interpreted it as "you have given me so much - give some to yourself (LOVEYOURSELF) as well" ... and that worked with the whole "if you don't believe you can, know I'm here for you - in the Magic Shop (the place I live inside your mind/heart) where anything is possible!" And the lyrics "so show me" (with the answer "I'll show you" just seemed to me to say that you show - have shown - me your love, what's in your heart, and now I'll show you love" in return. Made sense. AND I WAS LEGIT OK W. THAT - could tie it into "Best of Me", "There for Me" - and could totally relate it to ARMY ONLY. And then all the "galaxy, stars, plant your sky" stuff was just so far over my head, and none of RM's explanations made sense .. so I just wrote it off to some mythic influence rubbing off of RM onto JK..lol. And I was ready to move on ... bec there are so many loosely interpreted lyrics across so many channels, just figured I'd get it later. *AND THEN ... I RE-READ THESE LYRICS* (also loosely interpreted - why not? everyone else is doing it!) "I know you're hesitating because even at the end it'll come back as scars" (odd thing to tell ARMY!) "Did we make this 'miracle'? No, (it's not something unexplainable, shocking, or surprising) "I was always here (around) ... (but) you came to me (physically, emotionally, spiritually - whatever!) *"and it was you I found when I was full of despair and standing on the edge of a cliff"* *"(you) my last reason...to LIVE" (live as in 'let go' of 'fake love', accept 'the untold truth') & I FREAKED OUT!* Then on a whim I went back and looked at the original lyrics of "All of My LIfe" by Park Won, yeah I did, and *MY BRAIN EXPLODED! IT ALL MAKES SOME CRAZY SENSE TO ME NOW!* Anyone who has paid an OUNCE of attention to JK (and as a JungKook Stan, I've paid 'pounds and gallons') can tell he hadn't been in a 'happy place' for a long time. It's always been in his eyes. And then suddenly, he changed. I don't think it's any ONE specific event that changed him in the first place or even ONE specific event that brought him back to us, to where he is now, but what I DO KNOW is that for the most part, my Kookie seems happy! He acts like the weight of the world is off his shoulders. Of course, I KNOW this album is NOT about JK or any OTHER specific member. And no, I don't attribute EVERY single song or lyric to a 'ship' - that's crazy and immature. I'm old enough to be Jin's Mom - I don't do 'ships' anymore - I've come to believe it's a dangerous practice (professionally and socially). Instead, I observe behaviors, free of channel owner sway, edits, and camera angles. That being said, SOMETHING brought JK 'back' from his dark place ... and I think Jimin was a major part of it. They've ALWAYS had a close bond (regardless of what context you choose to believe it). People want to act like their recent interactions (the ones we've been privy to) are new - but they've been like this forever: supportive, playful, unselfish, silly, caring, putting each others' needs before their own, being attentive of the other person, protective to the extent of even being jealous and looking 'whipped' as people like to point out. That's fine. So is it _such_ a stretch to think that JK had thoughts of Jimin when he made this song? I'll even play devil's advocate. If not Jimin, then who - based on the lyrics? Who would he attribute to always having BEEN THERE FOR HIM in those capacities, NO MATTER WHAT?! And the GCF Tokyo? You'd have to be blind, not to 'get it' - Jimin had been wanting a trip with JK for a long time. The song lyrics "I'll be there for you, but you gotta be there for me too" - people take it from JK's point of view, but it's not .. it's from Jimin's .. and the result/response is that JK is doing something for Jimin that Jimin wanted him to do. Sure he may have used it as an opportunity to practice his filming/editing, but Jimin is his friend, first and foremost, and a willing participant. Of course, I'm sure they were aware of the possible ramifications that would follow (tons of gossip) but they did it anyway. Besides, it's not like they were in JP ALONE - God, grow up - they're IDOLS! You KNOW Bang had to approve it, they had guards/mgrs/attendants maybe, etc. But it's the 'nature' of the trip that shows what I love that about their relationship - it's give and take. Now it may not have ALWAYS been that way, but that's how its' grown and all relationships change with time. If not, there is no internal growth...you don't learn from life, you're stuck and that's not healthy. They're more like "I've got your back" instead of "I'm on your back". I apologize for the length - but I was excited to see someone talk about the lyrics of this song!! FYI, I used to be a TaeKooker (ducks the possible throwing of rotten fruit - yes, I KNOW I'm on a JiKook channel but it appears to be one full of mature people!). Now I'm a JK stan. I've recently been accused of being a closet JiKooker. I'll tell you what I am. A BTS Fan for LIFE. LIFE as in breathing on a daily basis, happy, genuinely content in what must be THE MOST INCREDIBLE time of their VERY young lives! I don't want ANY of our Kings to become #memorials and empty mics and chairs. I applaud SHINee finding the strength to carry on and I still cry about Jonghyun. BUT THESE MOMENTS ARE OUR KINGS' MOST BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS IN LIFE!! I'm so proud and excited for them all ... and if Magic Shop is JK's way of expressing his feelings right now, and Jimin can be contributed as a cause and it makes EVERYBODY happy? SO BE IT!! I don't even know where to begin (no pun intended) with this comment. You might be my lost twin. This is exactly why I started this channel...to have conversations like this about sth that insipires me. Believe it or not what got me into BTS hardcore was actually a Taekook shipping video. I was a Jungkook stan and I just loved seeing Taehyung giving so much love and attention to my favourite member. So I was on the Taekook ship for about a month before I came across a Jikook video. And that is when my opinion changed completely. I still believe that everything JK told us is true...I do believe Taehyung really did ''break him out of his shell'' and showed him that they are family and that he will always be loved by his BTS brothers. That kind of love is a wonderful place to grow up and to grow as a person. And I think at that time Jungkook really needed Tae and their friendship. But with Jimin it was a bit different. This will sound strange but I didn't even believe in love before I found Jikook...but when I saw how unconditional and everlasting Jimin's love for JK is...I was so inspired by that love. They showed me that you don't have to be blood to love each other and whether their love is romantic or platonic it is the most beautiful and inspiring thing I've ever encountered. I've realized that in life we all just want to be loved and accepted...maybe it sounds pathetic but that's what I've learned so far. I think everyone would be happy to be loved in a way Jimin loves JK...his love is neverending. And me too girl...I cried myself to sleep because of Jonghyun many times since he is my favourite lyricist and his music means a lot to me. The heavyness of that void he left behind is really hard to whithstand. I know he suffered and was lonely and I don't ever want for that to happen to any of BTS boys (that is why I am glad they still live together even though I found it strange that they are so famous and grown up but still choose to live together). I want them to be loved and accepted and safe. And I believe Jungkook feels all of that with Jimin (and the rest of his members) and that is why you obsereved that he ''came back from a dark place''. He feels safe now, loved by his hyungs and he has a wonderful platform to grow professionally and emotionally. We are observing a young man coming of age and finding his voice in the world. And that, honestly, is a beautiful thing to see.

OMG ... Long lost twin INDEED!!! We took difft roads at difft times, but we ended up at the same crossroads making the same left turn! I never even HEARD of Kpop or BTS until like Sept or so, and the first vid I saw was BST. And when JK came bouncing out from behind Jimin, I lost the ability to speak for a few seconds! Being a natural researcher, I did what I do ... joined Vlive, daily motion, a couple of other venues, watched all kinds of unedited footage.. and after a while I started going "Huh ... REALLY NOW?" One day I'll share my path to "Standom" (I actually wrote about it in my comments on my channel), but what you've said about JK coming of age and growing professionally and emotionally? Twinnies we are! I had a similar convo a week ago and I'll share what I said. Again, I apologize for the length!: It's hard being a Kookie Noona, watching him grow (literally before my eyes) in so many ways. I too took serious notice of that Burn the Stage comment he made concerning being a mix of all the members, and instead of taking it out of context, I considered the year, where he was in his life and everything he'd experienced (that we KNOW of) in his life up until THAT point, that would foster that belief. I think he missed out on A LOT of the true 'joy' of being a teen, even though many will attempt to counter it with the benefits of being an idol. The whole "what's yours is mine and what's mine is mine" wasn't JUST a JK thing - it's TYPICAL teen personality, Psych 101. His was somewhat magnified during his early teens because of the lack of even having anything he could specifically claim as his own - especially his time, and specifically the ability of "choice" (what you'll eat, wear, do, go, who you'll talk to). People take this for granted, but it's a HUGE part of human personality development, and let's face it, though the boys had many more (and continue to have) freedoms than other idols thanks to Bang, idol life still does not condone total freedom and individuality. BTS has found a way to do that through their music and I think it's beautiful and brilliant, and I applaud their every effort. But idol life is still a far cry from anything resembling a 'normal teen upbringing.' Consider the dorm situation: even it's not been the healthiest environment for adolescent development. I've said it a million times - boys can't raise boys. He's been surrounded by the exact same people during the imperative developmental stages of his life. Until his recent friendships (the 97 collection as I like to call them) he'd had little to no exposure to others his own age and has had practically NO exposure to anyone OUTSIDE of the industry. Teens are naturally sociable - even the introverted ones (like seeks like BEFORE opposites attract - that comes in later development). I've always been of the belief that he's not so introverted to the point that he's awkwardly social. And it's not that he's so very shy either. People tend to label him that when he's quiet. He's more guarded than anything. Watch him on different variety shows and you see a different JK every time, adapting to the given situation. I've been watching the US interviews and laughing to myself because it's evident there as well. For example, he is MUCH more fluent in English than he lets on. He doesn't want to embarrass himself or the members, so he chooses his words and interactions carefully. He's not some magic mimic either ... Considering the lyrics of the English covers he sings, and listening to his annunciation, it's obvious he has quite a command and understanding of the English language. I say all of that to preface that adaptation has been his key, but as time passes, we see (and will continue to see) his confidence growing. His 'rebel antics' as people like to refer to them, are nothing more than his asserting himself in his ongoing quest of finding himself and developing his own personality. Many have noticed changes in his actions and behaviors, but instead of taking it out of context, apply it properly. He's still our Golden Maknae with a beautiful sense of humor, but he's outgrown a lot of the behaviors he previously exhibited. He's not a baby or an easily influenced teen anymore - he's a 21 year old young man (international age), with different needs and desires for his own life now. He's been making decisions and moves in his own direction. His GCF projects, new studio productions, and recent comment of a desire to make a mixtape - these are all evident of someone who is coming into their own, exploring different avenues based on personal likes and strengths. To be honest, he's one of the members I think will have fantastic success in life AFTER BTS because outside of the skills he's honed while being with BTS (performing, singing, songwriting, and dancing), he's adding so much more to his 'toolbelt' per se. It's my understanding he is even enrolled in Global Cypher University studying broadcasting and entertainment. It makes sense - why would he be studying medicine? LOL. My point being, at 21, he's developing a focus and drive that will carry him throughout life and he will have many things to explore during his solo career when he's older. So I don't regret the loss of his childhood - instead, I celebrate the glory of his successes as he reaches adulthood - it's such an exciting time in his life!! And I pray for continued strength, health, happiness, self-love and internal growth. I do that constantly. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE JEON JUNGKOOK, and if I could have 2 hours to sit down alone with him, I'd love to tell him how very impressed I am with him, that I encourage his decisions, and I'd elaborate on ALL the ways he makes THIS NOONA, so very proud! I'd probably do a lot of crying tbh!, AND I'd HAVE to pinch his cheeks and get a big hug. LOL! So yeah .. I guess I do kinda "STAN" JK .. lol. And I will never discredit my time "on board", or deny what I heard, saw with my eyes or felt with my heart to be true. I'm not a hypocrite. But I'm not blind either. I've seen that relationship grow and change, just as his with Jimin has grown and changed on many levels. But there is ONE FACT that remains seared in my brain: he's a totally different person around Jimin, and HE ALWAYS HAS BEEN. Honestly, as long as I get to see those smiling eyes, and relaxed demeanor, I don't care if it was Suga's "Cool Uncle grumbling" or "RM's metaphysical explanation for the color pink" or "Jin's latest screaming rant" that did it. He loves and is loved. Pure and Simple.

As the youngest in my family I also had a bit of that ''yours is mine and mine is mine'' mentality when I was in my teens but not because of greedyness at all but because I was testing the boundaries of how far I can go and what I can claim as my own. As a teen you don't really have anything to your name yet, nor do you have a private space to explore yourself. Jungkook was the same but in an extreme version. You are so right. Even at the old dorms, they used to sleep in the same room together!Imagine 7 growing teenagers crowded in a room together with no privacy whatsoever. They slept together, ate together, trained and worked together. That is a recipe for developing an isolated personality for sure. I agree that JK is not really that unsocial. He would be (and he has his 97 line now as you mentioned) but the industy is all he's ever known...of course he is going to have his walls up when meeting new people. And he has said that he feels like he has stopped growing emotionally when BTS debuted. He still feels like a 15 year old kid sometimes. Probably because, as you said, normal life ended for him and he just worked worked worked. Even his high school years were at an art perfoming school where all the other idols go to. But I often say that Jungkook was absolutely meant to be a star...I can't imagine him doing anything else than this. So I am grateful to 12 year old JK who came to Seoul alone to chase his dreams. Not only am I grateful as a fan (because I selfishly love his voice and can't wait for him to start writing more songs) but also for his sake. I think he was born to do this so he made the right decision. It is going to be so enjoyable to watch him grow. He is only 21 but already talented in so many different areas of life. He has the potential to become whatever he wishes with the support he has and the work experience he received. We would all like to be in his shoes but all of us sure as hell don't have the metal toughness to whithstand all of the things he had to go through to get to this point. He really is an inspirational and resiliant person. That is why I wish him all the best and I want him (and any of his potential relationships) to be accepted and shown respect. singulaerity chim RM said he wrote the lyrics based on JK's Guide. So the lyrics are based on what JK had written. Anyway RM asked JK to upload the original version. So let's wait and see if he does! Fingers crossed.

I know that JK didn't write the lyrics on his own but the song can still be dedicated to their love even though other people helped to write it. I mean RM also wrote Jungkook's solo song ''Begin'' which was Jungkook's dedication to his hyungs but it was written by RM. It was only Jungkook's emotions and words behind it but it was made into a song by RM. RM is a genius lyricist and I think he takes inspiration from everything he sees in his life...not only from his own experiences but also from the experiences of other people. It is totally posible that RM helped Jungkook write Magic Shop with Jimin and their relationship in mind. Similar to how Ed Sheeran wrote a song called ''Small Bump'' from the point of view of his best friend who lost his child. People who write a lot of songs always take their inspiration from their surroundings not just from themselves. I also think that the song can be dedicated to both Jimin and ARMYs as well. It doesn't have to be one or the other. It can be both. But that is just my (very biased) opinion. I said at the beginning of the video that it is mostly just whishful thinking and a bit of fun because I like analysing song lyrics. It shouldn't be taken too seriously.
