Speaking of meta shifts. With the rise of zoo, Killmonger is being teched into non destroy lists and your C tier Caiera is being run now to counter it.

I'm pretty sure Agatha would be very bad with Makkari because it happens at the end of turn. Which means if you draw Makkari from turn 3 onwards, Agatha might play her for as a 3/4 Cyclops.

Maybe Makkari can be changed back to a 3/3 and its text to something like: After the turn, runs from your hand to a random location. (if possible) On Reveal: You can move this next turn.

Not gonna happen, old Chavez was reworked because SD hates consistency in marvel snap and your proposed change is an even better card than Chavez that work as a deck thinner

When you do the tier lists I think you need to put the camera on you and Alex on top of each other and make them smaller. So that both of you take up the space of one of you currently and then you’ll have so much more room for the tier list

So the main problem i have with Makkari, similarly to the conclusion in the video, is that you have no control over when she's played so you cant handbuff her or play her at a more opportune moment. I had an idea that she could be a 0/2 (maybe 0/3 but that might be too good) with the ability On Reveal: Move to a random location. Now you can handbuff her and do all those shenanigans, but you can also Cosmo or brood a location to limit how she moves or play her on Angela.

I don’t agree with storm being S tier anymore, realistically when was the last time you’ve seen storm being played?, there’s a reason for that, she just doesn’t confidently shuts off a line anymore, as more cards come out her effect just loses strength, Nocturne being the latest arrival, Jeff, ms Marvel, those are just the ones from on top of my head not counting the pre-existing ones like doctor doom, vision etc.

Makkari has one home, and that's the counter deck running Cosmo, Negasonic, Supergiant, and probably Alioth. She gets you the priority you need to properly kick your opponent's sandcastle over.

Coulson is definitely at least A because of Loki. It’s been consistently making almost every Loki list and Loki has consistently been at least an A tier deck. No way Cosmo, Zemo, or Cerebro are better than that card.

Idk, it's effectively a 0/4 but you don't choose the lane. It's basically wasp with high evo but x2 the effective power at the cost of synergy.

I do agree with Cozy on Luke Cage. Personal opinion he's S tier. That comes out and you don't have the answer to him, you're screwed. High Evo and he comes out on 4 and your Abomination goes back up to 5 cost. Surfer and he comes out and you know you're going to get Hazmatted. We don't run Rogue and Enchantress enough and even when we do he's still God tier. That's not factoring in locations he just nullifies.

Future OTA for Makkari should be to have it where it runs to a random location at the end of each turn if possible and leave it at that. No changes to stats but simply make it move each turn

Hope we get new archetypes... Cards on the field that were not played and a card that is ongoing card that gives 2 plus power for cards on the field that were not played. Cards like m baku, makkari, angel, wolverine, x23, the locations that adds the card etc. I think theres more. And there is another archetype they should also address and should be named. They are the card that have abilities but are not reveal or ongoing i.e. Sebastian Shaw and Darcula.

I was kinda hoping the speedster would be a move card, not that we needed any more. It would've been cool to have her be able to move every turn, like a 3 cost vision. Or maybe have her add her power to a location whenever she moves to it? Anything is better than an S5 that could screw up your plays. I am probably still going to get her, though, just because SD has been quick to buff new cards, like Gilgamesh, and everyone doubted Sersi before her release and she's been my favorite card this past week. Love the video,as always, Cozy and Alex

Legion + Storm will work with her, and also Sandman. Any situation where you're restricting the cards that anyone can play. In those decks, she's almost like a second Jeff.

Mercari is just like Proxima Midnight. It's a Surfer card, a discard strong guy card and a C3 card, not to mention a Hope summers card. You can run her with Crystal in Surfer. W 3.5 Star ez. Mark my words.

I’m in same situation: Gladiator in in my collection, no X-23. I’m rolling, X-23 is the last Destroy card I don’t have. Also I think Makkari will be so bad, she will get a buff, at some point in the future.

Great list. The only ones I disagree with are Shaw (can hold a lane on his own, belongs in A), Spiderman (too much variability, probably lower B upper C), and Negasonic (A tier, a 3 cost that can completely destroy a big stat stick deserves more love).

Makari still helps with Moon Girl even if you can't double her because Makari can help thin your hand early in the game to double other cards. Not sure if there are any cards you'd want to double though since the fact that Makari is thinning your hand inherently means you have fewer options to play.

When reading the deck text, I take it as you don't have to play her, but if she is in your hand, she auto-plays herself at a random spot - which actually seems like it could be pretty hype! Am I crazy/totally wrong in this?

They should change Prof X back to the way it was and change Cannonball to: "On Reveal: Move the highest-Power enemy card here away. Nothing can stop that card from moving to any location. If you can’t, destroy it with a Rock." This would break the toxic Cannonball combo without devastating the role of Prof X.

If they don’t release so underpowered and skippable card as series 4, then I guess they are done with releasing new series 4 cards. I would not be surprised, if they had series 6 being prepared, with 9000 tokens price. After two years power creep is becoming a problem for developers. New cards are harder to design, cause they need to fit in. So either new card is broken good, or entirely skippable. If they introduce series 6, they will say „It’s new quality, the cards are meta changing and archetype defining. They need new series.” It would also give them more opportunities to monetize the game, with big user base, that is loving the game.

I feel like this is going to be an underrated card once it drops to S3. What about Bouncing Makkari back and playing Nakia on a turn 5? I feel like that would be a fun combo

Black Swan is such a strange case. Great effect with solid stats, and yet it always feels awkward to play. I will say though, that playing her in like a werewolf deck where you’re bouncing yondu, iceman, and spider-ham actually can feel pretty satisfying if all the pieces line up. But those decks already work with or without her, and I guess that’s my point. Sooo 🤷‍♂️

Makkari is pretty good. 3 stars is most cases but there are a lot of decks that are limited by energy and need to drop power on the board. Im thinking, DRACULA, HELA, STRONG GUY, ELECTRO RAMP, or TRIBUNAL. This is the card everyone will regret not getting 3 weeks from now.

man that card intro was uncalled for, even Sersi didn't get that kind of treatment, However I do agree that the card would at most should be s4 instead of s5. I do feel that careira was rated low, I played her in my jubilee blink deck and since I have a lot of 6s with high cost it helps me spread out the card rather than place them all under one lane using armor

The idea of Moon girl with Makkari is that she gets out of your hand to make room for the cards you want to duplicate, not to be duplicated. Still not a good card 😂

It would be cool if the text read “ if you spend zero energy this turn, this card plays itself and draw a card from your deck.” Series 5 card should be worth the 6K tokens not worth zero tokens

Great work on the video. In my honest opinion I feel surfer is a s tier card. Whenever a card comes out at the 3 cost spot most people immediately slam them into the surfer archetype. On top of that surfer over the last year has been in just about every streamers tier list of decks for people wanting to climb. Plus unlike patriot allows you to control your level of fun with the variety of packages you can play because of the buff surfer gives.

I think makkari could have worked really well as a new move card. Like for example maybe every turn she runs to a random location if possible, gaining a power point, buffing your kraven etc. Just an idea, maybe it wouldn't work but i like the idea of her being a move card as i enjoy those decks.
