That is because mostly top institutes have good talent. Say, IIT ... Why would a company go to local college when there is more probability of finding talent in IITs. (They want talent, not degree)

It is not a traditional MBA course rather a diploma or distant learning program which you pursue while working.

@@dipeshnarkar6887 yes. If you literally have no idea what to do and don't like coding,strictly go for MBA. I'm running local business which doesn't have to do anything with linkedin so haven't updated hence won't be of much use to you. Also don't get into unnecessary government job preparation it's just another trap

Of course, I feel there is no way doing an MBA or PGDM can be off demand. PGDM or MBA is always in. These corporate sectors need trained, multitalented professionals to run the business. And there are no other courses that can be at the same level as these MBA and PGDM courses. I am also including PGDM here because many are there who can not afford the huge fees of MBA but can think of doing PGDM. I have seen actually seen a few friends doing a PGDM degree course from a well known B school in Kolkata, Calcutta Business School and earning well after that. So these courses are always worth it.

MBA means something when you do it from top 20-30 colleges. Today even IIMs too don't provide good ROI, going for global MBAs are always advisable. Prefer GMAT over CAT.

I'd say an mba is a waste of time. Get your bachelors degree out of the way and start building your experience in from a young age. But then again covid chsnhed alot of things. Most jobs are temp or contract based now. So what's the point if companies don't want to even hire people on permanent basis

How do you expect people to build experience straight out of college? When an average guy couldn't even secure job. Mba opens up plethora of opportunities & connections which ultimately helps in growth Other option is doing a professional course But building experience is too vague & isn't applicable at all places coz after a certain point your growth will stunt & ultimately you'll require an MBA or professional degree.

Gaining hands on practical knowledge is more important than degree. Practical skill help you survive and compete when you enter the corporate world. A close friend of mine recently completed his PGDM degree equipment to an MBA from Calcutta Business School and during his 2 years he did 2 intership in top companies which according to him helped him gain more practical knowledge. Now he is earning a good salary.

The problem doesn't lies at mba the main difference gets maid at the start when your parents decides if you will go to publick school or private school most companies will prefer people from private convent because mostly rich people enter tuere kids into it because they are rich they would have more control over there kids and the environment which gets created helps a kid to learn faster and makes him sharper one major advantage is if you are entering into a private convent your English would be first class your communication skills would be first class then if you will go for an interview as a manager they will first see how your communication skills are that's what matters for them

Though MBA is considered one of the best-valued courses in India, PGDM courses in Kolkata are no less than MBA. It is equivalent to that. I have heard and also seen students doing well in their careers after studying PGDM at Calcutta Business School in Kolkata. You need to choose the right B Schools in Kolkata for getting on the right track.
