My Mum tells me that when she got sick once as a child, the doctor ordered her to be sent away to the seaside for 'convalescence'. you'd never hear of that nowadays.

This Doctor is a rare exception. She has a soul. I refer to my [Dr] brother as a glorified drug dealer for pharma. Fewer incompetent, egotistical Doctors and many more empathetic nurses is what society needs today.

Santino R.; IDK what ur brother's specialty is RE: his practice but un4tun8ly, ur comment accur8ly describes "behavioral" medicine (a.k.a.: psychiatry/mental health). It's so much easier 2 medic8 than communic8. Even Dr. Rankin says it best. Most drs would rather promote symptom RELIEF than symptom PREVENTION. Ur comment concurs w/that.

Doctors are some of the biggest dopes. It’s from all the drugs. My cousins a pharmacist, says many are just drug addicts with good jobs. They kept me sick with a movement disorder when there was a full recovery to be had... only once I couldn’t afford insurance and in particular my “meds.” They were keeping my brain from healing the problem wtf 🤬

Lissa, I wanted to let you know that my surgery was successful, my Doctor removed 90-95% of my tumor and I am doing great. Needed some rehab in my hand but that's the only lasting reminder. Best of all- no seizures! It was such a blessing to meet you; you inspire me so much! Thank you for your prayers and support. Lots of love, Katie Smith

This doctor is astounding. She is voicing what I know as a nurse. Luckily for me I work in a private setting where I can talk to my patients, where I can explain the changes she advocates. I send them to slimming classes, stop smoking, even send to meditation and gyms. I tell them to stop doing the extra work hours and re look at their lives. It works, they know it works and more they change their lives and I see them again in the car park for a chat, but they rarely come back to my office and they rarely take medication. I love this, it's what we've always known, but forgotten how to do. I consider myself lucky that I can spend as long as it needs to talk and sometimes that alone is all people need.

Thank you for bothering to do this for your patients. As a former mental health professional in 2019 I could never understand how this is not part of a regular protocol in the hospital and at discharge. There is so little actual hands-on follow up, but instead comes in pieces -- see this one or that if you need .... what?

This is one very bright lady whom, after rejecting conventional medicine as the cure for everything body wise, spent years trying to research, and discover, the road to a type of "total health", and especially happiness. I recommend you to listen to her story, which is presented in a clear, logical, and comprehensive manner, and ask yourselves, "is this journey for me?". Dr. Leon M. Silverstone

How can you get rid of stress when it is deeply part of your life 24/7 daily. For the entire life of my daughter who suffer from an incureable genetic disorder. with multiple body disfunction and blindness. Since I am single mother with cancer and in daily pain I can't easily wish these problems away and this is the smallest of all my daily stress.. Dealing with cancer treatments for five years is a true nightmare. Most people think having a nurse in the home helps decrease the stress level but for me and my daughter it only adds to the stress at a 100%. So many nurses over the years that don't know or do too much I have to always trained and trained you also have to deal with their personality. I have no family support, awful housing, and for any disabled person living in a one-bedroom regular small bedroom and bathroom is heart breaking. I guess I should learn to be happy and unstress because her ventilator is keeping her breathing. But this talk is great I am always looking for some helpful on line advise since get out is impossible unless my daughter or myself is seeing a doctor

Not only is stress a silent killer, as studied and researched by Stanford biologist Robert Sapolsky, but the resulting anxiety and existential battle slowly drain you or your health and connection to the world. I just went through an examination of my life stress and through a series of examinations I took an honest look at my life and saw what I was doing to create this dis-ease in my life. Lissa is criticizing the aspect of medicine that does not work. We are in control of our health and responsible to look at what makes up our beliefs and why we believe them. We have been conditioned to see the medical world as "all good", but in reality no human system is perfect no matter how scientifically based that system is if there is a political and economic control mechanism in play.

Laughter makes a merry heart. We should be anxious for NOTHING! Envy and jealousy ROT our bones, I can go on and on. Scientists like her have to admit it! Stress is killing us and all we're doing is covering it all up with bandaids, she is so right! Thank God someone is coming clean in that side of the fence. May we all take heed.

Over forty five years ago a group of doctors came to my high school and told us that if we got VD we should go to the county health department and get treatment. They would then trace your partners and treat them. Well as it was common back then I got the clap. I ended up at Highland hospital. They did treat me and I am thankful for that but didn't track down any of my partners. But shortly ofter that I started to have strange health problems. I now know that was when I was infected with Hep C. Hep C has an initial onset much like HIV. They are both retro viruses. 45 years later Hep C gave me cancer. I rose up and attacked the problem and fought it with every tool I could. I lived through the cancer but let me tell you it was tough. When I was first diagnosed with hep C the doctor would not treat me unless I said I had done IV drugs. I was an athlete. I ran ten miles every morning. Did Karate and Tai Chi as well as did Modern, Jazz and Ballet. But to get treatment I had to say I had done IV drugs. I now know that I was exposed to hep C from in the injection I got for the clap at Highland Hospital. I was invided to attend a seminar on hep C that included a presentation by Dr. Stewart. He did the first studies on Hep C using Chimps. I sat right in front. He was at most ten feet away from me. He said only ten to fifteen percent of those exposed to the virus become chronic. I asked him if the number is that low how does he explain the high number of people that have Hep C. He couldn't, he just shrugged his shoulders. Then I see his work published on pubmed and the numbers had been changed to 45 to 55 percent. That is the reality of modern medicine. They kill you, or infect you with a deadly disease, and lie about it to you. All the while charging you a huge amount of money for treatment. The current "wonder" treatment for Hep C in one thousand dollars a pill!!!
