That was pretty awesome with how Koru said your mewtwo was the best character you've played so far. I think if mewtwo was just a little more consistent, he would easily be a high tier character.

I struggled using Ultimate Mewtwo for a while but this weekend I practiced a lot of characters Mewtwo being one of them.

I think you said it well yourself by mentioning that mewtwos strengths are among some of the best and yet his weaknesses are the reason its hard to place him with the others characters of that tier. As a long time ult M2 main id have to say I think that mewtwo can be high tier. I hardly ever find myself in a matchup where I am at a loss of how to win. A lot of people talk about how samus is awful against duck hunt and olimar, but while charge shot defines samus shadow ball does not entirely define mewtwo. I am not trying to say that mewtwo is a more complete character or anything just that his strengths give him a real answer to basically everything this game has to offer.

I just finished making a matchup chart for Mewtwo and I feel the same way. It's interesting how a character designed around such extremes ultimately has a pretty well balanced matchup chart with only a few -2's and +2's.

Mewtwo main here. I would say that problem of Mewtwo's weight could be mitigated by a better disadvantage state (look at game & Watch). Sure, Mewtwo has a larger hurtbox, but Game&Watch is an S-tier character. My overall thoughts on the character aren't quite there yet. Sorry, I couldn't provide anything particularly insightful.

... First of all nobody was even talking about whether or not Showdown was competitive Second, yes it absolutely is. If someone's looking to play pokemon competitively it seems much better and easier to use Showdown rather than painstakingly train your pokemon in the base game. Third, what would you say is competitive if Showdown isnt? I dont mind taking the bait if it means i can boost engagement on this guy's vids lol

Hey could you do Pac-Man he’s a lot of fun! He’s got great boxing tools as well as a great combo game, and personally after seeing the set between tea and Acola at Tamasuma Kyokkan, I think he could be the answer to Steve.

Damn wish I didn't miss this stream. I would have liked to fight your Mewtwo. I had my first doubles tournament last week and my teammate was a Mewtwo actually. I definitely think this characters weight holds him back and Bowser moves kinda just erase Mewtwo if he's not careful. So I'd like to play someone who's halfway decent at Mewtwo,as I feel like I've only seen that a couple of times from people. Also M2's up smash either looks like he's doing that thing with a pizza or the John Travolta pose from the movie Grease xD

Good movement is so necessary for Mewtwo because it makes it that much harder to hit you.

@@TuesdayTastic Also I always hear his tail hurtbox is a problem (I don't doubt it) but it definitely makes me think twice when I *think* i'm out of range and then I get baired off stage and die from M2 lol.

@@Blizzard91 the tail hurtbox is not as big of a problem as many people think. It comes up for sure, but it's not something I'm worried about in most games

Am I the only one who thinks the audio in the videos are worse than the audio in the streams (if this is true why is it tuesday?) Edit: it's an echo that I haven't noticed in the streams

Well that's because the streams were recorded a month or two ago and my mic crapped out on me before I recorded. (The audio was recorded on my webcam mic unfortunately). I have a new mic now so it shouldn't be a problem moving forward

Oh I didn't realize they sounded worse. It's definitely a new recording environment with a new microphone so there will probably be a transition period as I get better at using the new microphone. Next time you're in my stream remind me and we can tinker on it live.
