It's not even laziness, it's just a disgusting ploy to create "interest." If they cared at all about their player base they wouldn't be making these "votes." Theyd just release them all, or at the very least put the others in a vault to be released at a later date. I hate dishonest developers. Unfortunately that's most of them these days. Example: they say they dont want to release vertical slabs because that would "stifle creation." In reality they just dont want to code it. I'm genuinely sick and tired of seeing this talking point; allay voters don't want it to ""duplicate"" items. In fact, allay had my vote because I was under the impression it would go out and mine things up to a stack or two, like logs for example, or I could make a hopper system around a noteblock to have them drop items off while i'm mining so i can still get the cobblestone in my strip mines without taking up inventory space. We don't want it to dupe. We want it for the functions we were told about. Or, well, we assumed, because it seems the former isn't exactly what would happen, however the latter is still up in the air.

Actually, the Copper Golem freezing after oxidizing doesn't mean it's the end of it. You could've use an axe to somehow turn it back to normal, and you could wax the Copper Golem to prevent it from oxidizing overall. If it was added you could have a Copper Golem summon more of them since to summon it you'll need to press a button after building its structure, which is perfect for them.

@@g4bri3l. They modified many things, from skins to variety. Ocelots were what become cats. Now we have Ocelots AND Cats, they just separated the two. They implemented the villagers, once villagers wouldn't even exchange, they were literally useless. They are doing updates on different biomes, those are literally implementing new things to older ones. Enchantment is now easier and less exp consuming, adding also a use to lapislazuli. Did you even play the game before hunger was implemented?

Yeah I agree. It feels like it takes up half the places iron would normally spawn. That wouldn't bother me if it was more useful. In most of my worlds I just have a chest full of copper blocks. I do build with it but it feels a little weird to have such a large portion of the ore that spawns just for a decorative purpose.

@neeger man copper golem pushes buttons randomly. Its a randomizer and it decays over time. The allay on the other hand is literally a mobile item sorter which is PERFECT for farms

As one Who play technical i can assure you that i prefer 100 hoppers sorting my items than 50 entities it lag way less

Thinking about it Watching SMPs like Hermitcraft, they always have lighting problems, they end up being jumpscared by a mob, so having the Glare would be good for Large Scale Builds with intricate areas, where players have a hard time to light them all up. Builders would probably have a nice field day with this Mob. Playing MC in general, picking up items whenever you do tasks like Chopping an forest down for wood, Mining with a haste beacon, or a large farm area where after you destroy the crops, there's always that few stray potatoes or seeds that keep going everywhere for some reason, its a hassle to collect them, so the Allay would be a good mob for that, good for multitasking. Survivalist players would love this mob being around them (even tho they aren't pets) The only mob i have i problem discussing is the Copper Golem Well sure it randomizes (copper) button pressing, but there are systems already built for that, they can be used for decoration, sure. that could be nice actually, we'd have another golem, that's fine too, its a walking lightning rod (based on a developer tweet) thats kinda neat too. It has something to do with the Archeolog part of the update, But thats kinda all of it. You may compare the Allay to a Hopper or Compare the Glare with the F3 Screen But imagine a large build, both in width and height, would you rather individually check every dark space in the entire build with your F3 screen? Or have a mob check it for you and all you have to do is place a light source and then it'll look for more dark spaces in the area. Now imagine a large area you dug for a mining session, or a tree chopping session, does a hopper work on that situation? Obviously not, but with the Allay, if you have a pack of them and give them each item you need them to collect and they'll do it for you as you continue with your task, all you need is a noteblock and a few hoppers around it so they would drop it near the note block and the hoppers will collect them. All of these mobs are good in very specific situations, which is what i think Mojang is trying to accomplish, but out of all of them, i think the Allay has the most use, im still fine with the others winning, but the Allay has the most uses in terms of aiding tasks. Since the theme of these mobs are "Utility Mobs", they are mobs that help the player, and the Allay is the most helpful out of all of them by far.

People are vastly over estimating the range the Allay can reach, function, and do... which has made this a Glow Squid 2.

allay only picks up the item you give it, and thus far only has 2 inventory slots, the one for the item you gave it, and one for the item it picks up, it doesn't travel to unloaded chunks either. you will either need a bunch of allays, or to have an allay bring back an item you "requested" and then swap out your request for a new one, most of the items you'd want from a players body would be unstackables, unless they are carrying diamonds around with them, so you'd literally be sending it after 1 item at a time. any item you don't have on you, you can't recover from the other person. if you are already loading the chunks where the body is, it would be a lot simpler to pick up the items yourself, you might even find items that you didn't currently have on you, or wouldn't have thought to send the allay after. that being said... this idea isn't the worst, having the allay pick up the body is stupid, but having the allay FIND the body could be extremely helpful, if you know someone died nearby and assume they had something like rockets, or golden carrots, etc on them, you can get the allay to lead you to the body, might even be helpful to players who died themselves but don't know the exact coordinates of their body. anyways the best use of the allay would be in farms, they could eliminate the need for hopper lines and water pipes in moving farmable items to a designated location for storage, if you aren't big on automated farms it could still come in handy for things like picking up and storing stone while mining, or even as a potential form of sorter for items that can't normally be sorted

(model and skin, how it moves around, May be an exceptionally simple behavioral peculiarity if it’s an option.) Things that some teams of modders do in the matter of a week. Besides, Mojang is a AAA game company, and Minecraft is one of the Best selling games of all time. They can burn a little cash on what I described in the first sentence. Additionally, I don’t think there’s any reason for Mojang to limited itself to implementing one mob in a single update. They have implemented multiple mobs in the past, and at times when they were not as successful as they are now.

I mean that would be practically useless as the thing is already coded. It won't make sense in terms of efficiency which is important in game making

Lower time, less limitation by an existing frameworks? And also, the animation can be easily included in a video. And you can’t compare a week of those all-nighter modders to full time employees. It is not practical. Nothing you, as an employee, would want your boss to told you to do. “Do whatever to make this done in a week (7 work days)” is ridiculous for thing like prototyping. Something one modder could do in a week you should expect a full timer to use double that. You can’t make them put all their time into it. And as a company. Do you want to hire a team of programmer to implement this? You do know the cost of it, right?

Or have a mob just help you find a dark space and put a light source, and then it'll wander to find another dark space for you? Also can you differentiate Light Level 1-2 to 0 by looking at it? These mobs have VERY SPECIFIC uses, but so far, the Allay has the most uses among them.

What they do is that they paint their content cow as some sort of evil monster, and then they can make video after video off of the hate bandwagon they created. Dream in particular is such an easy target because of the speedrunning drama, lack of control over his fans, and his sheer clout. They can take anything he or his fans say and spin it into an 8+ minute video for the ad revenue. They're so good at controlling the narrative, people seriously think Dream is a puppetmaster over random Twitter users and that he told his fans to not take meds whatsoever. And if you need proof that Dream is a content farm unto himself, consider that Ranboo became one of the biggest Twitch streamers off of Dream SMP clout.

1 - u need to place them down still 2 - there are more cuter things tho 3- true but still 4- not super useful it just tells u where the mobs can spawn the allay may help more 5- it cant spawn torches tho 6- true but its really easy if you are a expert on it xd

it cant steal others loot, i dont think its going to be light speed so anyone who dropped an item could see the allay and pick their item back up, it cant pick up items from a chest, cant duplicate items, can only take the items that were dropped

The golem might be annoying to maintenance, because of it oxidizing. (If you can't wax it) But the copper buttons sounds like a fun new building detail, along with the oxidized golems themselves.
