Minecraft servers have come and gone but there's some servers that have become legendary. Mineplex has been one of the most influential Minecraft servers being the most popular server in 2015. The Arcade style Minecraft server was extremely popular and grew the Minecraft PVP and minigames communities. Mineplex was known for having the best games in Minecraft history. But should you play Mineplex today?

Nowadays, Hypixel dominates the Minecraft server scene while Mineplex falls behind. Mineplex had major issues and bled players, eventually dying out. But even though, many call Mineplex a dead server and would rather play on Hypixel, maybe there's something special about Mineplex, the retired king of Minecraft servers.

There seems to be an issue with Mineplex and Replay mod working well together whenever I battled someone in game. I still thought the shots looked cool so I left them in! I agree that mineplexs main reason of defeat is it’s lack of explaining when starting the games. It feels like a chore where you have to learn everything. But once you get to the core you learn mineplex is fun, but as the players from mineplex grew up, a lot of them left, and new players didn’t want to join. And even if they did, you can’t que games anyways.

Mineplex would eventually fade out like the hive java and that will be sad though the bedrock edition server will probably last longer since it always averages about 3k players

(this is loganizer btw) I would say it depends how you play it. On bedrock, it's definitely still fun, although being a complete mess with a horrible anticheat and strange leadership. There are definitely a lot of hackers, but most of them can be diagnosed with Skill Issue. I have had some really good times with my friends on Skywars and Cakewars. On Java, it's a lot more dead, but there are still some big communities like DaTeamz. I often join with my friends on YeetCord to have a good time, or play on my own and have unforgettable experiences. I think if Mineplex fell under new ownership, it would rise back to the top. unpopular opinion: I much prefer Cakewars over Bedwars. The fact that you don't instantly destroy the cake, the random loot islands (which occasionally spawn on someone's cake and destroy it which is really funny until it happens to you), the waypoints instead of generators outside bases, and the time limit all lead to completely different strategies.
