Thanks for this, Jon! I was sitting on the fence for months but finally bought "The Fat" along with the ceramic tub after this video. I just love it and have been using it frequently. I find it lathers best with my Omega boar brush. I've actually been using it more than my other soaps! It just feels like I'm doing something nice for my skin.

I have used the Fat recently. Had about the same results lathering as did you. I don't regret the purchase. As an enthusiast of wet shaving, I'm often wondering what else I should try. Tomorrow will be the Fine Bay Rum. Thanks for the video.

Ahh ... The Fat ... great demonstration. To keep The Fat budget friendly I just have the MWF refill puck in a plastic tub. Also I lather all my soaps up in a lathering bowl, so what I do is slice a small piece of soap off the MWF puck (about 2g), press the sample into my lather bowl and build lather from there starting with a damp brush, this method also eliminates the jar lather mess.👍🤠🤟

Excellent shave, I do enjoy the Fat. I have been lucky enough to not to have had an issue with lathering it. We have good water here in Scotland at least in Perth. Have a great week. Very best regards Gordon 👍

There is an original tallow Williams that I was lucky enough to score. It competes with the finest artisan soaps. It has to be carefully grated and reconstituted but the effort is so worth it.

For the cost that it's sold for in the US, there are probably better options; however, if you're in the UK you can get a puck for less than $10 or ~10CAD from Connaught if you are in Canada. At that price, it's the best quality budget option on the market. As slick as any artisan soap and with a decent post-shave, it's also a long lasting hard puck.

@@Bigdhoss order from their UK store. It should be ~10CAD shipped to Ontario, depending on the conversion rate of GBP at the time.

I love the Fat. It takes a lot of water to make it creamy. I also grate it on a cheese grater and smash it back in the jar. Remixes it all. I do store it in a small Tupperware container because it dries out quickly if not used regularly. It love to stay hydrated.

Ive definitely heard that using a cheese grater is a common practice for fans of the Fat, but for me, it worked perfect fine as is! Thanks for watching William!

Hi between Stirling, cella and wool fat which one is slicker? I have sensitive skin, prefer a shiny lather not dry thanks

Nice shave and I’ve thought about The Fat as well, but I’m also at a point where I enjoy the ones I have. As for the A/S, I’m so disappointed that Lavender Pour Homme was discontinued.
