This figure shipping without that apron is like if Milhouse shipped without glasses. Sure, there are plenty of individual scenes of Milhouse without glasses but they’re still an integral part of the characters design and there is almost always a story or gag based reason for him to be without em.

totally with you that it's insane to me they gave him the panda and crate instead of a bar facade.

1. DIY Moe’s Bar Diorama is 🔥 2. Black > Wood Background 3. 💯 These need linework I agree, S7 should’ve scrapped the panda gag and gave Moe a bar counter, regular beer mug insert, and included the apron. These are fun character designs; just a little linework really would go a long way.

Love your videos. Very informative and chill to watch. The Simpsons line is the only thing s7 is putting out that makes me want to collect it. I was super pumped and then disappointed by their disney line, so I still haven't bitten the bullet yet. On the subject of the missing outlines, I'm kinda a fan of the current look. It reminds me of video games like hit and run, which was the first time I personally saw these characters in 3d.

Oh man, I like the line too… I just wish anyone else got the license… NECAs quality control has gotten better… they would knock this line out of the park with far less issues and less expense.

I'd say go with the black background, creates more contrast with the figures you're reviewing. And people saying the wood looks unique, in the end it's your reviewing style that makes the channel unique. Keep up the great work dude!

Good stuff! My Moe has the discolored shoulders too, just a product of how they did it. Why they didn't break up the sleeve and arm into two different colors is weird and baffling, plus they could have given us a biceps swivel if done that way. I'm guessing they went with the episode 1 info on the back of the box because this is like an evergreen Moe who could be from any episode. Incidentally, he actually didn't look like this in the first episode as he originally had black hair and a pink apron. Plus he had a festive hat in that episode too. I'm guessing the retailers removed the apron from the solicitation so their customers wouldn't ask them about it since they're probably just referring everyone to Super7. Hopefully the silly thing gets sent out soon. Moe is practically naked without his apron.

Yeah, Super 7 is doing great on these Simpsons characters it seems, but the missing apron and Krusty not getting his cigarette and whisky are just big no-no’s. As you pointed out, these are adult collectibles of a tv-show that never had kids as their primary target. So they should be getting those accessories as those are so much part of the characters. Even though I don’t see myself collecting this line apart from a few characters or just the main family, Astronaut Homer is definitely tempting for me personally,. I would prefer the family characters in their standard clothes over the specific episode designs, though. Unless it’s Homer from the The Raven sequence in the first Treehouse of Horror. It is up to this day one of my absolute favourite parts in the entire show. Kang and Kodos are also very tempting to me but the higher price combined with the fact you’re essentially buying two almost identical figures keeps me from getting those. As for other characters I’d love to see, Itchy and Scratchy are highest up on my list (it’s strange to me they went for the robot versions first for whatever Super 7 reason). Apu, Mr Burns and Smithers, Lenny and Carl are also some of my favourites.

I'd love to get Super 7's Simpsons and Animaniacs but I'm just running out of room. My main collections are movies and books. Figures would be third. So I always have to think about the balance. Especially with NECA coming out with TMNT and Dinosaurs stuff.

I would rather have a mock bar for Moe to stand behind than the panda. He's the local bar tender, give Moe a bar to sling beer at and a place for Homer to drink a duff

molding the shoulders yellow and painting it blue afterwards was a terrible choice. The shoulders should've been casted in blue plastic separately.

The paint bleed/overspray, limited articulation and cheap "plasticy" look of many Super 7 figs make them a bad value prospect. Drop the price by $20 and you have parity between price and quality. These shouldn't cost any more (and possibly less) then the fantastic NECA figures we've been getting.

I would rather they release the odd characters first to figure out a good stride with articulation and general construction of the figures. Every toy line has crappy early figures, but every great toy line has to start somewhere. I don't mind getting the family later. We all know they are coming.

The wood table is better. It's a good wood. Warm, substantial, inviting. The high contrast of black isn't necessary to show off figs & the dust & nicks nics? Nick fit heh what was I...oh yeah the table, it elevates your content.

Brilliant review I'm most looking forward to one day owning the Marge Maggie and Lisa figures especially Marge though I don't like her leaked expression in the toy magazine I also have no idea how I'm going to obtain any of the Super 7 figures as on their official website all the figures seem to sell out fast I also imagine Ebay will scalp the figures I want which would be even more depressing as a UK collector. Also no apron on Moe is like giving us a comic book guy figure without a comic prop or a Lisa figure without her saxophone such a bizarre choice to make.

I kind of checked out of figures because of prices.....but collect Hot Toys....what a contradiction.... Your reviews has me buying Super7's. I agree with the value maybe being 40 ish..... As a 90s kid, the last great Simpsons decade, Moe, Radiactive Man, Bartman, are some of the must haves.

I'm not sure if this would be a controversial opinion but personally I think it'd have been a much better idea to scrap the panda and crate (as much as I love the reference) and replace it with the love tester; for me that's a much more iconic Moe-related prop. Or Maya from the later seasons, although I'm sure having a second character might cause some complications.

Awesome!!! I feel like this super 7 moe is a bit to big out of scale to go with other lines like maybe mezco or revoltech, or dc collectibles. The head is too big and I wish they make them a bit more in scale to use with other figures..great review!!!

i am annoyed that Moe came with all of his bar accessories, even an illegal panda, but they chose to leave out his apron. That makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever. i could've gone without the panda if it meant that Moe could have one of his most important clothing items.

Has Super7 made any contact with customers about how the apron will be provided? As much as the idea of it being soft goods it could have just been sculpted to avoid this issue, especially because Moe almost always wears the apron.

The panda is from the "Cape feare" episode. Its only a ten second gag, the episode about Sideshow bob trying to kill Bart.

Unless you move into a senior citizen's community, the sounds of children will follow you everywhere. i live in a house and i always hear children. The only time that i do not hear children EVERY day is this time of year, and i revel in it. However, people like to drive by while blasting their dreadful bass-heavy music all year round, so.. . i'm not a hater, i am just a man who truly enjoys peace and quiet. And i desperately need to get out of the city.

Great review. For anyone watching in 2024, Super7 is still providing an apron via mail if you contact them and provide proof of purchase, at least as of January. I bought from Toynk and Super7 honored my request for the apron and I had it roughly a week later. YMMV and we know Super7 is far from perfect but respect to them for still doing it a year later even when bought from a 3rd party.
