I've been exploring this very recently so it's crazy this is coming up. I've been struggling on dating apps, then realized I don't even want a relationship right now which is why I was struggling, and I changed my profile to say I'm looking for a fuck buddy and honestly the conversations I've had with people since then have been surprisingly better and more genuine. I think it's the authenticity in the acknowledgement that "we eat with our eyes first". No one dates someone they're not sexually attracted to, so it's kind of the tip of the spear of all romantic relationships in a way. Which feels opposite to what we may intuitively feel (the traditional friendship, then besties, then sex, then marriage). But anyways, I recommend people give it a try. It's also a lot more fun and way less pressure to start your relationship off on.

I'm in my mid-30s. I have have had a f-buddy for over 2 years now (I actually commented on another video of Shan's over a year ago talking about him). We are exclusive to each other, but not in a relationship, and that actually works really well for us. There is no pressure for more on either side, we don't meet each other's friends or family, we are completely independent of each other other than when just interacting with ourselves. It's the easiest and most communicative non-relationship I've ever had. I think I have found I'm actually not a relationship person. When I'm in a relationship, I'm much more insecure, I become paranoid, I'm far more demanding and critical of genuine partners. I don't like me when I'm like that. Not having the pressures of making a relationship work takes away all that some how. To be fair, it's probably just a me issue, but it's a me issue I've been able to ignore for 2+ years. Haha. My f-buddy has allowed me to have the benefits of companionship and sex without all the other emotional baggage that comes along with it, and so far it's fantastic.

Why is the accountability for men and women completely different. If he was the cheater he would have been dragged. And ppl would have prob said damn she stuck it out with a cheater. But because she's female she gets to chalk it up to she was young. Yall need to watch how the world gives women passes and let's men know that they ain't shit on the flip side. Smh I didn't start realizing this fact til after my 20s.

So I disagree with what Sifat said that at around the 4:30 mark that if either of them had the mentality of going into it with the intention of exploring a relationship, it wouldn’t have worked out. I think you coincidentally chose a fuck buddy that you were emotionally compatible with, but didn’t know it bc you focused on sex first over the emotional connection, and that’s why you discovered the compatibility later. I think it still would’ve led to this pairing but the journey would’ve been different putting emotional stuff first. I feel icky that you’re saying that you guys only ended up together bc you cheated on your boyfriend for a fuck buddy and your lack of expectations

Not her trying to justify her cheating on a club name. The world has truly come to an end. I guess it’s okay for girls like her to cheat, and everyone is okay with it and making it a thing where she’s not being held accountable.
