Well Dave the first thing I would change with both rigs is the location. They would look great here in my sim room. 😉 Joking aside both Julie and yourself have great rigs and while I may be slightly envious I am quite happy with my fairly modest set up. As for rigs never being finished, I have lost count of the number of times I have said that I am not buy anything else for the rig as I have everything I need. It is always nice to see what other people gear is like.

Sweet setups Dave-o. One thing I found surprising is that you apparently find the fiberglass bucket as comfortable or even more so than the seat that allows some adjustments. I have an old Recaro that came out of some Ford product that I paid $20 for at a junk yard on my rig and I find the adjustments make things a bit easier on my weary old bones. It even has adjustable lumbar support via an air bladder built in, and I use an aquarium pump to inflate it and it still holds the pressure for quite some time, but I may end up trying to come up with a way to more easily adjust the pressure on the fly. I started to try to "recycle" the guts of a cigarette lighter powered air pump intended for inflating tires, but I would need a pretty beefy A/C adapter to satisfy the start-up draw. Since that type of pump is massive overkill for the job, I plan to look into something with less of an appetite for amperage if and when everything else about by rig is well enough squared away to where on the fly lumbar adjustment shows up on the radar. I completely agree. I think it's so tacky when someone creates content and shows their setup on their channel and their room is disgusting. Food, trash, unorganized stuff all over the floor. You sir are very clean. Less is best. Clutter kills.

you know I have the Ultimate pedals+ and the PSR1 Aluminum Rig, Those to components made the biggest difference to me, the only thing i would change on your rig would be the 3060 card for the second simrig

your setup looks quite familiar to mine and very nice !!! p1x , he u+ , sc2 pro , but i have 32' and with that size you can lower them right behind the wheelbase. but i know you are used to this, but personal really think 32 are the sweet spot for triple simracing monitors ! got a nice deal on the acer predator model from 2021 170hz im having such a blast with my setup ! can you link please what your mentioned about dlss elgato or something?

Logitech MX Keys Mini with backlight, which turns on when you move your hand close. I used to have 'that' Logitech K/M combo, the one with the yellow button and a price tag around 35 euro. But I should've switched to this/a backlight keyboard much sooner! Buttons are better as well and reception of the old keyboard stuttered a lot, which is gone now.

Dave, do you use the screen on your wheel much or is it just a nice additional feature? As for changing anything, I haven't done it but a harness could help keep your shoulders back. I have a tendency to start leaning into the rig, which removes some range with your arms. The contrast is it isba harness for a stationary rig.😅

Both are incredible but I always go back to the Ultimates as they are my originals and benchmark what I compare everything to. I'm just really enjoying driving with them right now. The Invicta's and the Ultimates are the best pedals I've tested, but both feel completely different

@Dave, may I ask which seat mounting solution you use on your rig? It looks pretty simple to adjust, yet pretty sturdy. I don't want to use a seat slider as I am the only one using my rig. However, changing the seat position is a pain using default seat mounting solutions. Thanks for the tour and the impressions!

Interesting (like you mentioned) with all the pedals you've had to test and the HE Ultimates are the ones that remain 👍Room looks stunning mate, super clean and the little personal touches with the lighting etc really make the difference. Good luck keeping that seat 'dog hair free' by the way. If you come up with a solution then let me know cos i'm having a nightmare here 🤣

I was also thinking the same about the pedals, I have a set of He Sprints, now and then I keep thinking about a possible pedal upgrade, I've watch reviews on the invictas and other pedals...but is interesting to see that you decided to stay with HE Ultimates. What do you use Steel River Sims? (I'm also subscribed to your channel :)

@@cesmatt Hello mate, I use HE Ultimates (before the upgrade/no software). I love them and don't think I'll ever need to change. The same goes for my PSR1 rig and Simucube2 Pro. I believe they're the best in their respective fields and any upgrades now will be pc parts and wheel rims/add ons. ...and thanks very much for the support. I really appreciate it 🙂

Very nice Dave. Why did you go with a free standing monitor stand and bin the rig intergrated system??? Im building my 1st rig I have went with intergrated triple stand.I think I may have made a mistake? Im using the p1x with the simlab adjusters.But I think I am limited to what I can use monitor wise even with them. I have to look into it more.

It just gives me a bit of flexibility when changing things around. Much easier to slide the rig out from under the monitors to fit another wheel base etc. If I didn't swap things around I'd be more than happy with an integrated mount 👍

He mentions both PCs have Elgago capture cards in them for the cameras - so I would have to think that he streams from the PCs and doesn't use a separate one, which with modern CPUs/GPUs is more than adequate.

Since I dont have enough room I went for a VR setup. I'm very very happy with the pimax 8kx. After 1 year of VR racing I tried to play on a monitor again just for the heck of it. Its not possible anymore. Without the sense of depth its almost impossible to drive. I cant even manage to hit a single apex on a monitor which is so weird lol. VR 4 life

Hi Dave Just got into simracing. New pc build was I7 12700K 32gb corsair vengeance at 3,6 mobo gigabyte z690 gaming x and psu 850. Planning triple 32" 1440p in near future. Iracing Dirt rally 2.0 and ACC should i go for 4080 or 4070TI would run on ultra settings? Not much of tech guy so thanks for any suggestions and comments Don't want go extreme budget for 4090 and 3090 is more then cars on the road these days 🙂 Ps all started with bloody grand turismo ;-) Well down the rabbit hall now 🙂 Thanks

Really nice gear Dave. Clearly you have decided not to go down the motion rig path, But, no butt kickers or shaker cushion? I could not do without my old four transducer SRS Shake-it cushion. Have you ever tried anything similar? It gives just enough "seat of the pants" to bring it alive and help with driving.

Great setups but it is surprising that you haven't tried tactile feedback yet in the form of transducers, I have plenty of those, and if you are worried about the noise they are pretty much noiseless if you set them right. I would also push you to try a WindSim you can DIY it yourself for cheap, it's a bit noisy though. I would recommend you talk also to O-Rouge if they can provide you with a sample of their ventilated C1 bucket seats (people are talking highly of them and I'm waiting for my C2 to arrive. last but not least is a belt tensioner you can talk to PT actuators for this one. I previously had a mount that comes directly from the chassis uprights towards you, when you can place the SQ shifter.

Awesome setup(s) Dave. 😎 A few questions on the Julie's rig, since I am debating triples with myself (no money yet, though): How many frames are you pushing on 3x 27" monitors on 1440p with a 3060? Do you use HDMI or DisplayPort, and any specific reason for one or the other? I'd have to buy another GPU to run 3 screens, because the current 3070Ti has 2x HDMI and 2x DP. Thanks in advance. 👍

I'm using DP. I'd say around 70-80 fps but that's with most of the eye candy turned off. I'd say a 3070 is a minimum for triple 1440 👍

@@frankvermeulen4621 Be better off now to wait a few more months and pick up a new series vanilla 4080 which will be faster than a 3090ti and have 16g of vram and probably will not cost much more if any more than the 3080ti.

@@frankvermeulen4621 Power draw of the 3080ti is listed at 350watts, the 4080 is being listed at 420watts but with more than 30% more performance than a 3090ti, 2-2.5 times faster raytracing along with an improved DLSS and the 16g vram it sounds like it will be worth the look. My guess is the 4080 will probably start somewhere in the $799-$850 price range. Sounds high in one sense but have you ever seen a 3090ti new for anywhere near under $1000? Performance to price point will be really good if the leaks are correct as compared to last gen offerings when you look at it that way.

Very surprised you haven't got any tactile on there. I couldn't live without my shakers, they don't make you any faster but they do add tons of immersion. That seat of the pants feel when going over rumble strips etc, once you've had it you can't not have it.

@Dave Cam need your suggestion. I am using fanatec dd pro with a 34“ 21:9 screen. As the dd pro does not support wheel extension, should I place the monitor behind the wheelbase or above? There is not enough space to move the screen behind the wheel. What do you think? Thank you very much.

Still got the DD1. The SC2 is just a little easier for swapping rims and the QR is much better. Feels tighter all round 👍

I've got an SC2 pro and just bought an SC2 Sport. I'd save yourself a few quid and get the sport. The vrs is a great wheel base too, but prefer the SC2 👍

dave, just viewed this video , at 1.30 time mark you have what appears to be a red adjustable monitor mount . where can i get further details of the bracket. i have tripples and always have probs aligning the monitors.

I'm setting up a rig, I'm trying to decide whether to go the tripple 27s or 32s. I watched your video recommending 27s but I also see alot of people saying go for the 32s. I only plan on buying once so don't want to buy the wrong setup and then have to buy again. I do have the room for the 32s

I guess it all depends where you want your monitors in relation to your wheel base. 27's means it can sit right on top and everything will look just right. Both are fine 👍

I had one. The upgrade wasn't worth it so sold it. The sweet spot was amazing, but just a little small

@@davecamm without the FOV Mod gasket I also would sell it... Mit FOV mod it's much wider and my big head fits also better
