So true. Young Africans in particular view African Americans as their cool cousins from America and that is why they are very excited to meet you and learn about your lives. In Kenya, foreigners have been travelling here for decades but sadly, very few have been African American. For someone who hasn't been to Brazil but has been to the African continent (Tanzania, Zambia, Senegal, Gambia, Malawi, Sierra Leone), You are right. The price points, friendly demeanor of the women, the shyness of Tanzanian women - dead on. I have Uganda and Liberia next up. Also yes, they really get so excited to see a Black person from the West and go above and beyond to be cool to you. I am seeing pricing for apartments in Nairobi for $600 and up in city center which is comparable to Accra, Dakar and Kampala. Easy access to the states Nairobi - Amsterdam - New York 9hrs each leg on flying time. And very modern. 48 more countries to go in Africa. We will see. I am so comfortable when I'm on the continent. You no longer need to fly to Kenya via Europe. Kenya Airways flies directly from New York to Nairobi on the modern Boeing Dreamliner aircraft. It is a 15-hour flight flight with no stop-overs. Your African experience starts immediately you board the aircraft as the pilots and cabin crew are all Kenyan. One of the most senior pilots on the route is Captain Mutungi, a highly experienced pilot, wife and mother.

Auston, you are maturing in the best possible way right before our eyes!😀 As a Kenyan, I thank you for your very positive views about our country. But you know what? Kenyans are merely reflecting back to you what you feel about yourself. And it is clear that you now feel so much better about yourself coz you look calm, relaxed and happy. As an expert in International Relations, here is my advice to you about travelling to Europe. Until your Brazil matter is resolved, you risk being extradited very fast from Europe to Brazil. Why not instead spend the next year or so touring the rest of Africa? Here, we see you and all black people in the diaspora as our sons and daughters. For now, you are far safer here than in Europe until your legal woes are resolved. Sending you motherly love from Nairobi.❤❤

A travel OG just here to share a little knowledge on travel to the motherland: 1. Don’t make women the primary reason for travel, best to have a personal growth mindset. Immerse in the people and culture, way more rewarding than having a sex tourist mindsets 2. Develop a endgame early, become an expat?, business?, temporary fun? Marriage and family? You will be thankful when you turn 50 because you have achieved a goal. 3. Don’t get lost in wanderlust and/or wonderlust (see #2). You can easily wander around aimlessly never establishing anything such as a residence and important lifetime social networks. You can feel homeless and alone at an age you need people and social networks the most.

Honestly I would rate Nairobi to the top cities in the world like Paris, London, New York etc. It has its own vibe and charm that you will experience. Nairobi is extremely vibrant after 6 month you do not recognize it any more. So much is going on. Nairobi lifts up so many people to the middle class every month. People are intelligent and you can have a good discussion even with a gate keeper. Ppl are open minded and suck in knowledge. And in the words of my son "girls don't get on your nerves". You go to a club 80% of the girls ar 9-10 an 19% are 8-0. 1% have left already. 60% girls in the clubs! They know they are pretty but they stay humble because all others are pretty too. My son got invited to a drink by a girl every time he went out! I did not believe it so I went out with him and saw it. I live in Mombasa because of the weather. Nairobi is too cold I want to swim every day of the year.

I can't emphasize this enough...I love your elevation Auston. I love your improved mindset and updated attire. I am glad you've found a sense of happiness and peace in the motherland. It is wonderful to hear that Nairobians (I know that's a typo) are welcoming to Americans come to their country to reside and establish businesses. I'd love to know more about that process. Also, what goods and services could be beneficial to the locals. Continue to self improve and share with us your experiences in the motherland. It is very exciting to watch. The way you carry yourself now you won't have any problem with attracting American women.

I have been to Recife, San Salvadore and Rio. Had a nice time in each of those cities - I was in the US Navy. Now that I am out of the Navy and can go where I want, I am going to Mexico and Ecuador. I now have Kenya on my list due to all of the positive vibes hitting my ear.

In Kenya we welcome everyone and specifically our brothers back. Having been away from Kenya, can’t wait to go back this year. Discrimination against people of color is something I’ve never had since I was born, just facing it as a older person away from Africa is something that made me realize that I was black. The society made me feel odd one out, something I don’t want to feel
