Silv3r, I have been here for a long time and have watched a lot of your vids. I would watch pretty much not matter what you uploaded because you are an extremely talented person. not only have you been successful in Neverwinter and building its community, but you have also built your own community. I think that almost everyone that watches you would follow you no matter the game, or at least I would. All you community wants is for you to be happy, you are a generally amazing person and you always brighten my day (even with a topic like this). You are super insightful and kind. That's why I think you should do what you want, and you will be successful in what you do.

I think it's reasonable to start pressing f for Neverwinter since profit per player has become far more important than having a large player base.

I played this game since 4/19/15 and I had a blast with friends. I havent been back to the game for about 3 to 4 months. When they mess around with my AD that was it for me. The only way I can take care of my characters was taken away from me. I'm done and not looking back

Hi. I've used your DC guide for a while then found your channel. Always good stuff. I personally don't watch vids on games I don't play, but I have Unity as well, so could be fun to watch. Such a shame with current state of neverwinter. I'm a day 1 ps4 player, and it's what I ended up playing the most by far almost daily. I'll check out 16, but because of the good info we've got from you content creators we won't be blindsided, so thank you.

What I do like is I have friends who have been away from the game for a while, still leveling, and the new update has sparked their interest in coming back and joining me. Personally there definitely is a learning curve for me adjusting my play style at lvl 70. My Cleric I play with random groups and heal heal heal and can’t rely on buffing save for a little with anointed army, and my paladin I like tanking in groups, but still working on a solo load out. I would still watch your videos if you covered other games, they are informative, insightful, and well spoken. Thank you!

My wizard is no longer any fun, the new fireball is cool but it DMG is very random and the Disintegrate nuke feeling is gone ...Everything is just Meh now... so i'm done just don't care anymore...

you hit the nail on the head, multiple nails, finally, tho many of us saw where this was going some time ago. You kept the faith and its looking like it made no difference. As you pointed out, there's only one thing thats motivating this, money. We know the company who owns Neverwinter has to make ends meet, and the team needs to be paid, there's nothing wrong with that. Its the way they've always approached it that, lets face it, has always been the problem with this game. But we grew to love the combat, the speed, the serendipity of unexpected combinations. The amusing bugs and the ingenious workarounds people came up with. So we stayed, even though we knew we could be treated better elsewhere. Those things we loved will be no more. You're quite correct that cryptic communication with the community is sadly not transparent, unlike so many other games. Would more transparent communication have made any difference? Maybe. There were enough non-trollers, who invested real $, just enjoying the game as it was, without needing to participate in giveaways or begging sessions with the devs, who were never thought important enough to reach out to when these decisions were being made. But, in spite of everything, one thing we can absolutely thank Cryptic for, in making these changes so drastic, is that the love affair we had with our toons will soon be over. And that will make moving on that much easier. And if there was any method to this madness, then that's what they wanted all along. For whatever non-transparent reason we can only guess. As to what you stream and what videos you make, yes, please move onto other games, don't honor this debacle with your tacit support. I don't know why so many people label 'truth' as 'negative' and in no way is anything you've said fundamentally negative, unless maybe Cryptic is your mother .. it is what it is .. reality bites sometimes - we can't keep our rose colored glasses on 24/7, nor should we. Best thing to do when things aren't right, is tell the truth, however unwilling the audience might be to receive it. You may end up with fewer followers, but just as much self-respect as when you started, and deeper admiration from the few who remain.

Agree . My guild is losing senior members daily . Sad . My guild boss told me about trying other games yesterday (Palidens) . I don't mind change but I really really dislike the idea that I've worked hard to get my enchantment / armour up so I feel its fun to go try new and hard content and soon it'll all be for nothing . Played nw on pc for years , got all the top gear and enchants / pets / boons , then mod 16 came and was basically "ha all your hard grinds are for nothing now !" So I uninstalled the game and will take my money and time elsewhere.. our guild and alliance was almost empty of players logging in and those who did log in mostly just ranted about the scaling. R.i.p neverwinter..

Hey there. Pretty much agree with what you said. All of the changes I was able to somehow overcome and have fun with the people I play with. Scaling did the job, it broke us. You are fun person with high skill of video editing and (PERV STUFF INCOMING) I really like your voice. Good content will always be appreciated, go for the other games :)

Just started watching your videos to help me decide if I finally wanna play Neverwinter. I used to play Neverwinter Nights from back in the day. Recently dropped WoW but occasionally still go back into Guildwars2. Sigh... Not gonna lie. Gonna stay away until after mod 16 and see what happens now. I work at Lowes. New players are like 'do it yourselfers' or mission customers. People who come in have a list of stuff and bounces out... But your vets are 'Pro' customers. They may vary in how much they spend but there going to be the ones with the big investments and the long term business. They may get a quick spurt after the changes but a business doesnt survive if they can't keep customers. Sigh..... I miss NW already.....

I stopped playing since that mass ban event. I lost what little AD I had...killed my drive. Been playing path of exile and Warframe ever since. Sigh poor Neverwinter

I will say I'm never playing again due to being ripped off twice. Long story-short bought keys opened chests and my items were locked to my account because of 'potential unauthorized activity' I made several tickets and got callous responses of "well there's 'potential unauthorized activity' hehe" seven months later after they've already received the money and I'm still claiming "IT WAS ME, I BOUGHT YOUR SHIT" Then the ban came. Neverwinter needs to die, cause and effect.

I am a PS4 player. I played NW for 2 years and had 3 endgame characters. I really enjoyed and loved the game for a long while. I followed your builds and watched your videos for almost that whole time as well and that was one of the big reasons I enjoyed the game. I pretty much quit the game 7 months ago when the PS4 “Ban gate” fiasco happened. I was not personally affected by it a whole lot. But, I saw it as a sign that PW did not really care about its players and especially its endgame players. Your video confirms that this is their probable strategy going forward. I will not support companies like this anymore. I am currently playing Path of Exile and have found GGG (the developer) actually cares about its consumer base so far. I recommend it to anyone who asks. I hope to see you in other games and making content for whatever game you love and enjoy. Thanks again for all that you have done for us gamers.

Eh, i left NW a good while back. I migrated to ESO and all i can say is WOW! And the new chapter coming out is very nice!! I don't feel like people would be disappointed.

Hey, don't apologize for being truthful. I have the same feeling you have about the future of the game. My vip expired yesterday and I won't come back until mod 16 comes to PS4. The way Cryptic deals with its player base is awful. They don't communicate or make the effort to build relationships with its partners (content creators like you and others). If it is supposed to be game as service, what service is this that ignores his current clients believing better ones will come? I hope I am wrong but I believe the game will die slowly unless something big is done on how Cryptic works. About other games, I will surely watch anything you try. I like how informational, positive and funny your videos are. You could try Path of Exile, it is great, I just started it now that I am not playing Neverwinter anymore.

I totally get it. ESO must have paid Cryptic off. Its the only way that this makes sense, since Mod 16 is the best advertising ESO has ever had. The ESO devs even posted about needing to bring on additional server power to deal with the influx of new logons.

I just found you and just started neverwinter really after looking up your stuff, gotta say I feel men about the update for a new player because having the little exp. With the system before it makes more sense than the new one, plus I liked knowing I could improve the abilities I liked before putting in time with the ones I didn't, now I'm just confused and use you to help me out. The devs are in complete denial tbh. They said 90% of players are happy with mod 16 overall as well. I've sadly stopped taking neverwinter seriously anymore

I agree. Neverwinter dies. Whatever you say is true. The developers killed the game with 16 module. And I also noticed that there were fewer people in the game, many had already left the project. Apparently, even more people will leave the game in this module than in the previous module. The developers promise too much, but they do not do anything good for the players. All these are empty statements, unfortunately. I hope that it will not reach full closure. Thank you for the video.

Well... These guys sure missed the boat with this one. This game died the day they nerfed the foundry.

i was sure game is dead after first developer blog about 50% crit cap and recovery/lifest removal, but i still had some hope left that it wouldn't be that bad. Of course after testing mod16 first day of release on preview, was also last day i ever played neverwinter. After that i only kept looking at some NW's youtubers vids and all of them was saying it's not that bad except Diamond Feather and northisides roast 3 days ago. I'm really surprised so many ppl still insist on giving this a try when it's clear that they fucked up BIG time, and the have no intent to make anything better.

Hey Silvery, new sub as of today. Been watching your stuff since you started releasing all of the videos on Mod16. Thanks for all the insightful info! I'm a console player, and while I agree that the scaling stuff is upsetting, I'm overall EXCITED for mod 16. I have three toons, and my main HR is 15.5K. I'm excited because I love the leveling process. I've never been an "endgame" player, I've completed all the current campaigns and haven't even done TONG or CR. There are a lot of people like me for whom Neverwinter is a game we enjoy but don't "main". I play TONS of other games. NW is further down on my list. So for these reasons, I'm excited! I get new content and get to experience a fresh game! Keep doing what you're doing gal, I'm glad I found a NW content creator that I can finally support.

I took a month off, because of Mod 16. It slaughtered guilds. Long time players just dropped out. It was a mortal blow, one from which we never really recovered from. We've got some new players, great players, good people. But the losses were real.

18.5K DC here, been playing for 4 years - worked VERY hard to get the right 5 companions, and then to make them legendary, saved for a half a year to get a Legendary Mount. These are worthless now. I am not impressed with all the boons i busted ass for to be nonchalantly turned into generic bullshit boon points to put on useless boons. Only one way to build your Heal loadout, and one way to build your DPS loadout? Feats? LOL - not even gonna go there.... (My two loadouts have ALL different enchants, weapons, sets, companions, armor, rings, etc, was VERY expensive and a difficult grind to get the AD to make my two diff loadouts to endgame level) Cute the way they made professions able to make these badass Electrum necklaces and Bronzewood rings we can use on our companions and now all have to be replaced with companion gear. That was another sting, those things weren't cheap. This is too big of a glass of Nope for me to drink - i'm out of here as soon as i find a game that is as badass as this used to be. I'll still log on and do new campaigns when they come out. (Took me a whole two days to do Undermountain on Preview server) Damn it was a fun ride these past few years though, but it's over now. All good things must come to an end as they say, however... I find this one to be particularly heartbreaking.

I have somehow survived all the disastrous changes they have made to the game through out the years. I'm worn out. Xbox nw is dying. Finding a active alliance is hard to find. Finding active guilds is tough as well. I run my own and I have guilt because I haven't kept it alive. But how can I when I have no interest anymore. I feel like Arc has no idea where they want this game to go. Doesn't seem like there is any communication. The left hand isnt talking with the right!! I dont know that I can continue on... Makes me sad..I have stood by this game when most everyone I knew left!! Only time will tell if NW survives it's own poison. I would be interested if u played other games! Always looking for new fun games!!

I'm a guild leader on console, and I've seen a huge drop in activity since mod 16 was announced. There's always been griping when new mods get announced, but this time the negativity seems more intense than anything I've seen before. Many of the people I run with are biding their time playing other games (Path of Exile is really popular rn) and will surely check out what mod 16 has to offer, but if it makes running old content even more of a chore than it is now, I don't see them sticking around for long. At the end of the day, games are about having fun, and if all the work and effort you've put into a character amount to little or nothing, you're not going to have a lot of fun.

I miss the mimic game in T9. Also, thank goodness for scaling fix! I think things are heading in a good direction now. People seem more excited and less salty.

I’m new to your channel but I am loving all your videos! Great content and great in depth commentary. Personally I love playing neverwinter but I agree that it is mainly geared towards brand new players. They just want to make money and I haven’t really seen anything that is actually good in terms of updating the story

New Sub here, you got some very detailed analyses ! I've been playing Nw for a few months only so I still don't have a grasp of all the concepts of the game but In general It's the best F2P game I played so far, unfortunately with the new Mod a lot of new concepts added to the game, which makes It hard to catch up with the ones from Mod 15 since they basically changed the whole game. Mod 15 for me was simple and obvious In terms of following a path to build up my character, but now the whole game became like a mathematical equation that needs to be solved with each upgrade I have to make, so It kinda ruins the concept of "having fun on the game by killing monsters and questing". It would be very nice If you could drop videos about other F2P games such as Neverwinter that can be enjoyable to play. Thank you !

I run a guild and im very active w/ my members. what i find most is "NEW PLAYERS" dont last after the LV-ing up to 70. most and i mean a good 90% of them just do not want to grind out the next two yrs for all the boons. ( i know you can buy them out ) but i tell told to buy VIP each month and work on up grading their pets. but i myself dont even buy VIP any more and just had it up to here. the AD cap was what did me in i had 35 toons deleted 26 just kept one of each class now no point in having toons ill never run any more. but i too have not been playing much anymore too...

I just want to cry. This game been my escape from the real world and its issues from time to time when I want to escape it. Sadly, I no longer want to escape into it anymore. I loved this game too. Combat drew me to this game, and was hooked since a few years ago, since leaving DC universe. I wanted similar combat. This game is what came up in the search. Now, dunno what to say, capitalism at its finest I guess. Greed will always rule over quality. I hate that it's affected the game I loved.

Take this as a critique, most youtubers have a hard time when they have to shift their channel, but at least for me, is not often about the game itself that you play, but the energy you transmit. This will sound creepy, but you have an excellent voice, really really calms me and puts me in a good mood. Make this a gaming channel in general, some people will follow, and some won´t. Super worried. Just came back to NW a few months ago and power leveled my SW. Then, started doing research on end-game and, of course, mod16 and I got very worried. Luckily, I don't have any zen holding in game and I don't need to 'spend' anything. I'll be in a wait-n-see pattern until the dust settles after 4/23. But thanks for the level headed video.

If NW doesn't make anymore for me after m16 release, what can i say? Cryptic is not helping at all. honestly i like your positive nature and this is why i have shared all your videos in my guilds/alliance discord. this video is no where near as negative and cringy as some of the others and your delivery is far superior then theirs. Even when going off topic you did well here. Informative and im pretty sure the way you feel is how we all will feel. I am currently looking into playing something different. I've played my pally for 3 years and haven't even patched the new mod yet. I played preview for 3 weeks then rage quit lol when my hubby (gwf who I always run with) and I got easily wiped in Malabog's Castle. CN was even worse. I want to give in but what is the point when I worked so hard to be an endgame player. I am in Hastur'S alliance and he has been supportive but my love for NW is waning. Answering the one question - yes would be interested in other games. I value your insights :) Prefer to see your evaluations of games that are like Neverwinter ie with a D&D flavour for the lore content, or an active collaborative combat style (Neverwinter was a nice break from DDO for me - no where near the same amount of content as DDO and Neverwinter has much better active combat in some ways)

I'm not sure whether I'm going to stay with Neverwinter, personally. It's a game I've left and returned to a few times. I might just take a break again if I don't care for how it plays in mod 16. I'd still watch your content, even if it wasn't a game I played. Maybe I'd actually change games if I saw something that interested me more than Neverwinter? Neglecting your veteran players could be a dangerous move as the veteran players "can" break the system by supplying high end goods at a lot LESS than cost, thereby newer players won't be buying from the ZEN market.

Last patch on preview is on. If anyone had any hopes before (I know I had) ... trust me, you wont have them anymore.

I'd like to see an update to this video and get your perspective now. I checked the instances between the yawning portal in undermountain and protectors enclave on xbox and there were a total of around 400 people online, only 140 of those were in undermountain... I've never seen it so low!
