Summary: Octopath Traveler 2 is what I like to consider a “slow burn” game. It’s the kind of game where you can turn it on for a couple of hours, accomplish a few goals, then turn it off for the day. The gameplay is easy to get a handle on, and overall, this game is an absolute must play for any fan of the genre.

I didn’t play part one, i’m not done with my first run of Octopath traveler two , a little over 70 hours in the game is fucking fantastic.

I am in the middle of the first game but am seriously thinking of just getting thr second. All thr reviews I have seen suggest they kept what made the battles in 1 fun but fixed a few of the issues like enemies being damage sponges. I can always go back to 1 later or switch between the two as it seems 2 as little to no connection to 1.

Hell yeah, that's our recommendation too! Less XP sponging and a speed up of the grind really help to make it a smoother experience! And yeah your fine skipping/swapping between the two. There's no connection between them! 😄

Which is harder octopath 1 or octopath 2

Octopath 1 as everything in that game feels like an HP sponge. Octopath 2 is far more beginner friendly!

All the footage we recorded is from the first chapter. Anything further is from the trailers released by Square Enix before the games released. Blame them! (or the editor, I haven't played the game and assumed anything square released was fair game sorry)
